This air conditioner I purchased to cool a small 2 bedroom house.  The remote makes things so much easier to control settings.  Also has temperature control that makes the unit come on and off as needed.  I don't need anything else.

 found this on sale - I've found summer to be the best time to buy air conditioners, and I looked around and compared quality and prices before deciding on this one. This light, white plastic air conditioner has a remote, which is great when you're working and don't have to get up to turn it on and off. Temperature is adjustable, and there is an energy saver feature. On the remote there are 'Sleep,' 'Timer,' and 'Fan Only' features, too. This air conditioner cools quickly, and works very hard. Frigidaire (the manufacturer) has a great reputation, so that's the main reason I bought this after the price and size matched what I needed. The only drawback are those stupid loud beeps that sound every time you change the temperature. The beeps are loud enough to wake everyone in the house. The filter just needs changed once a year. This air conditioner just came in white. There is also an electrical reset button I've used twice when the air conditioner wouldn't come on, and that fixed the problem each time. "Frigidaire," the manufacturer's name is written in large black letters across the back and you can see it several blocks away from the outside. This ruins any landscaping or pastoral scenery, but that's capitalism-advertising for repeat sales. Maybe that's why this air conditioner was priced so cheaply.

I had a built on extra bedroom added to my home, to have for guest and have not got the central air included into that room yet and probably will not tell this fall.  So I purchasedthis air conditioner for the guest to have and to use while staying with me.  It seems to work pretty good for the bedroom.  I would not recommend it for a large room.  It does have some noise but nothing major.  It is small enough to fit into a nice size window with out lookingso big and overpowering.  Good for someone that needs a starter one and for a single room. I would give it a 3 out of 5 stars.

This Air conditioner works well, a little bit noisey, especially if it is in the bedroom, but not too big of a problem.  For the price paid it does a great job. Good quality for a very affordable price.  The only problem i really have with it is that since it is small it does not cool alot of the house mainly just one room. if you are not looking for a lot to cool down then it should do the trick.  Might not be bad for a small apartment or just a bedroom, or even a somewhat closed living room, kitchen, or dinning room.  I have not had a single problem with it thus far and have had it for a couple months now.  I have not got to test it in the really hot summer months though. the remote is really great for not wanting to get up to change it if in bed or on the couch. It is not expensive and it is not meant to push out a significant amount of air, but if you are looking for a small, inexpensive air-conditioner to cool down a room then this air-conditioner is a great buy. You will not be dissapointed.

I bought this unit and used it in my bedroom.  I don't want to turn on my central air unit just needed for my bedroom.   I turn on this unit only couple of hours and it takes care of me for the rest of the hot night.  I like it.

this would be a good air conditioner to keep cool with in the summer time. it cools off the house real fast and stay cool all day long so its time to go out and buy one so hurry up before they are sold out and you cant get one then they are one of the top brands in the market at this very momment so go buy one for your self

we bought our first frigidaire 5000 btu just 2 months from now and we are satisfied with it. the price is not that expensive and quality is good. The only problem , which is almost all aircon brands have the this problem factor, is its noisy sound it produces..

**What it is:**This is a compact **Cooling Capacity (BTU): 5200** air conditioner that fits in a window and cools a small room. If you are looking to cool the entire apartment or house, this isn't your product. If you have a studio apartment or spend most of your time in a bedroom aka computer room slash bedroom, this is your ticket to the cool life. I am of the latter species, planted in front of the computer monitor for most of my waking life. I do my cooking in the kitchen after the sun goes down and the heat goes away...**The good:**This product is energy star compliant. It is pretty easy on the energy bill. It has two speeds plus fan. For the lazy, it also comes with a remote control. This bugger was also on sale at 40% off which was irresistible.**The bad:**It's not terribly quiet. Then again, I've not met a terribly quiet air conditioner so I am not bashing that.**The ugly:**A very hot day can overwhelm this product. If your living in Phoenix, you need to shell out the extra cash for the mega air conditioner that won't wimp out at 100 degrees. I live in the Arizona mountains so the 100 degree day is very rare.
