Best stove over all I will recommend to friends

This range by GE is a good middle of the road piece. I do really like the spacing between the 4 gas burners. There is enough space to allow me to use rather large pots and pans and they don't run into each other. It is also convenient to have the smaller burner tucked into the back right location. Temperature Control The temperature control for the oven is great. It heats up pretty quickly and stays consistent as long as the oven door isn't opened too frequently. The frustration comes from the burners. I can turn the nob between 5 and 8 and see almost no change in flame. Heat Distribution Again, I am pleased with this feature when it comes to the oven. The burners, however, seem to not distribute heat evenly and take a long time to simply boil water. Design Really love the overall design, especially the smaller fourth burner location. I have the black model and I sometimes get frustrated with the way it shows every speck of dust. Wish I had the stainless model.

Since purchasing my GE washer and dryer that I love, I decided to check out their ranges as well when moving to a new home. I grew up with an electric stove, but when living in Europe I was turned on to a gas stove. It freaked me out at first, because I was never all that comfortable with open flames, and my first one actually required me to light it with a match. But when I saw how much faster it boiled water and how much more even it cooked food, I was hooked. Coming back to an electric stove was awful. Since I purchased this one, I am in love. It's nice looking, but the quality is the best attribute. It's so easy to use and turn on, as compared my old ones it's child's play. It boils water so fast it's insane. The oven heats great and cooks evenly. It's pretty easy to clean, and gas ranges can sometimes be a little harder. I'm so happy with it, and yet another great product from GE! Five stars.

We have really loved our gas stove/oven! It works so nicely, and it's very easy to clean (as long as you don't mind the few movable parts on top)! The oven light works great, and the window is big. There is a self-cleaning feature, which works well. The gas is just so immediately responsive to cook with, and the stove looks really nice overall. I like the use of black and stainless steel together on this oven, and we have been impressed with how well it's worked. Temperature Control Like I said, the gas responds so quickly. It's so much more specific for baking and cooking. We really like the dials too. Heat Distribution I do think the back left of the oven vents out the top of the stove, so it makes that area a little hotter (which is important to note if you have anything cooking up on the stove). Durability This is a solid piece, and the door still holds tightly. The dials are on there firmly. Design We really think this range looks great. It looks classy! Ease of Cleaning Overall, gas stovetops are more difficult to clean because the pieces come out, but that also can make it easier!

Purchased my G.E. gas stove two years ago, and there's never been any problem issues with it.  The gas jets are even which makes for quicker stove top cooking, and the oven cooks all things I've done evenly and efficiently.  The stove is attractively designed, with removable top grates for easy cleaning.  The oven shelves are adjustable, and the broiler works great for giving things that quick crispy topping.  The ability to use an internal oven light and the visable glass door front makes a nervous cook feel in control without disturbing the cooking process.  And, as always for me, General Electric continues to produce quality, reasonably priced products you can trust.  You'll enjoy it's design, performance, and find it to be a good value for your money.  I would definitely recommend this product to anyone in the market for a new stove.  You don't even have to be an expert cook to perform settings, and operate this product.

If you are looking for a great stove for a great price, this is the stove for you.  I love the easy to use and the quality I receive.  It cooks evenly and it's easy to clean.  The oven is just wonderful.  Of course with everything there are pros and cons.  I purchased this unit in March.  Thus far the one con I have with this unit is the grate.  Very hard to keep clean.  Because I'm some what of a neat freak, I had to order another set because it made the stove look unkeep.  Still waiting on the replacement set so I can rate the customer service.  Nice on the phone so I'll give GE a plus for that.  Pros - Cook evenly, afforable, quality, great size, easy to clean (except for the grate - LOL) just overall a great buy.  I would have like if the grates came in black.  Think it would have not been as much of an issue if they were. I would recommend this unit to anyone.  You can't go wrong with this purchase!
