This freezer is a great buy. I bought mine at sams club and love it. I also have found that GE always makes well made products that are meant to last. Temperature Control There is a dial on the side that allows you to control the settings. I have never had a problem with it not keeping my food frozen. Capacity It is amazing just how much frozen food it holds. You can put a couple months worth of groceries in there. I have never had any problems with not having enough storage space. Ease of Cleaning It's not hard to clean as long as you keep up with the maintenance on it. I suggest cleaning it once a month before adding more food. Durability It is very well made. It's not heavy so you wouldn't think it would be durable, but it is definitely built tough. I've moved mine around quite a bit and it has lasted me forever. Also it is packed very well in the box it comes in. Design I love that it comes with the racks inside. It provides easier storage for your food which makes things easier to find. It makes it easy to store the big stuff on the bottom and place your small stuff on top.

I love this freezer. It is the perfect size for a small family in an apartment. Ours sits in our dining room. The tiny freezers on top of fridges in apartments are just not even close to being large enough to keep a reasonable amount of food. We use ours to keep everything we need. We have moved three times with the freezer and it quickly thaws to make moving easy. It is a quiet freezer that doesn't disturb us while we sit next to it and eat dinner. Temperature Control Our freezer stays at the just right temperature that we have it set to. Capacity Its amazing how much this freezer can hold. I keep it very organized between meat, vegetables, fruit and potatoes so it is easy to find what I need quickly. Ease of Cleaning I haven't had to really clean it yet, no spills or anything but I can imagine that it will be simple to clean. The edges inside are smooth and shouldn't catch food. Durability Our freezer has been through three moves and has held up fine. Design It is a basic looking freezer that performs its functions without problems. Of course, the design could probably be spiced up a bit.

I purchased this freezer second-hand from a co-worker of my husband. I was a little nervous at first since it had not been turned on in several months, and it had made the journey from her house to ours. I was very pleased to discover that it is so durable that it made it through both of those things and works perfectly! It was cool enough to begin using before the usual 24 hour waiting period. Last month I put 12 fresh whole chickens in one compartment, and they froze solid within a very short time. There is tons of room in this thing. Currently, I have a large box of sausage (12 lbs), 10 whole chickens, a 10 lb bag of chicken thighs, as well as six bags of chicken breasts. It holds all of this with plenty of room to spare! I love that it has baskets. Those are handy for storing smaller things that you don't want to get lost in the shuffle, but if there isn't any more room, then you can take them out. Capacity The racks come out for easy bulk storage. Ease of Cleaning It comes with a small ice scraper! Durability It travels well! Design There are smaller compartments that can be used for "grab-and-go" type items.

We purchased this to go in the basement when we purchased our home. I mostly use it for frozen pizzas, ice cream, extra boxes of frozen waffles, etc. I don't use it for meat too much, only because I usually buy most of my meat several times a week to avoid freezing it at all. Anyhow. I love that I can easily access the items that I need and free up space in my regular freezer attached to my fridge. It holds a lot of food, and I don't ever have to worry about excess freezer burn. The price on this model was decent and I think it keeps temperature very well. We lost power for almost a full day and everything stayed completely frozen. I was really impressed by that. And we had even opened it once to throw some of the stuff from our fridge to try and save it from spoiling. It even kept that stuff nice and cold! Cleaning this deep freezer is simple, and it has held up really well. We have had no issues with it at all, and I would buy it again, and recommend it to anyone who is in the market for a deep freezer.

We bought this freezer 6 months ago to store some grass-fed beef we purchased from a farmer. I also make freezer meals, homemade jam and stock up on seasonal vegetables. This freezer is perfect for all that! There are two of us in our household (right now) so we don't fill it completely yet. It easily holds 100lbs of meat, plus several weeks worth of veggies and other meals. It comes with two hanging baskets for smaller items. It was easy to set up, it is quiet and we haven't had any problems.

I purchased the GE 7 cu. ft. Freezer because of the price. I needed a small freezer for some extra things. So far it has turned out to be a good freezer. It is not self defrost, but I have not had to defrost it yet and have had it for a few months now. So that is good. It keeps things frozen and does not use much electricity which I love. For a small freezer, it has quite a bit of room. It come with baskets if you need them also. I like it because I can move it around myself cause it is not a heavy freezer at all. It does not take up much space so I have it in my kitchen. I would recommend this freezer. So far I have not had any problems.

After owning my GE freezer for only 4 months it quit working. The food that spoiled when it went out was worth more than what I paid for it. GE wanted to send out a repair man (the freezer smelled, so this was not an option) and did nothing about the food that I lost. I also had a side by side freezer & refrigerator which started a fire inside my freezer. I called them and told them that they should come and pick it up from my front porch so that they could figure out why it almost burnt down my house. Again, they did nothing! I will never buy a GE product again.Cori
