my mother-in-law brought this appliance to me when she came back from the US as one of the gifts to our house, bought used in a garage sale in 2007 and until today and the appliance that I use most in the kitchen. never gave problem.

There's not much to say about this microwave. It was a decent price and it works great but there is really nothing that separates it from other microwaves. The only thing I don't necessarily like is you can't put in whatever time you like, if you hit the 2 button it automatically puts on 2 mins. Not that there is anything wrong with that but its annoying sometimes. My favorite features (which is on most microwaves now) is the popcorn button which times things pretty well, except for single serve bags which burn. There is not a lot to this microwave so it is pretty durable and is very easy to clean. I have noticed that the tray comes off its track pretty often now but its not a huge deal. I also like that the microwave has little notes over it with cooking tips. I lost the manual so I haven't been able to figure out how to use the power settings, it would be helpful if they put that info on the microwave as well. I also find that if I run my toaster oven at the same time the breaker trips so I cant cook two things at once when the microwave is on.

I have had my model JES738 for nearly a decade I first bought it when it college. It lasted several moves, has been very easy to clean and keep clean, and includes functions I use on a weekly basis including the kitchen timer (which works even when using the microwave!), and defrost functions. It's been a really good microwave. In late 2013 it started making noise that I am still unable to identify, but it still functions for the most part. I will be replacing it soon because of the noise and because the turntable stopped working. But, after 10 years or so I can't complain! Settings/Features I LOVE that I can use the kitchen time and the microwaving functions at the same time. The heating and defrosting options are great, too. There are more heating buttons than I could ever need/want. Durability It's lasted about 10 years through several moves and daily use. Design Great on a small fridge or on a kitchen counter top.

I mean, it's hard to be a bad microwave. It cooks things, the tray doesn't get off of the tracks all the time, it's a microwave. There's not really a whole to it. However, if you wake up at 1 in the morning (or if you're still up at 1 in the morning) and decide you want to make yourself a nice little snack, you better live alone or not care about your roommates because this sucker will wake up anyone within a 5 mile radius. Seriously, it sounds like it's preparing for liftoff or something when you turn it on. I don't understand how a microwave can be so loud. I mean yeah, microwaves aren't really supposed to be quiet, but come on. I shouldn't have to worry about making something at night and worrying about it waking up my roommates on the other side of the apartment. Performance I mean, if you exclude the freakishly high noise level, it's fine. Cooks stuff. And yeah, isn't that really all a microwave is supposed to do? Settings/Features I mean, the main test here is the popcorn button. But I've never tried that guy out on this microwave. As far as everything else like defrost and reheat goes, everything usually comes out at the right temperature and isn't cold in the middle or too hot to eat for 3 months. Ease of Cleaning The tray comes out easily and isn't a pain to get back on. The surface wipes down fairly easily with just a Lysol wipe or something like that is you get to it before it cakes itself on there for the next 8 years of your life. Ease of Use You push buttons. Tell it the time. Push start. It cooks it for Sticks every now and then when you go to open it, but nothing too hard. You don't need to bust out the muscle or anything like that. Durability It's lasted two years with no problems so far, so I'd say it's pretty durable. Design Big enough to fit everything in that I need/want it to, but isn't so big that it's a burden. It's the perfect size for my apartment.

Nice little microwave, nothing fancy. Performance It does the job, but ever since I got a tea kettle, I no longer use this microwave to boil water. There's something about the fans and heating system inside it that doesn't usually go over the top of a bowl or heat whatever is on the inside of a cup very well. Don't get me wrong, it will heat your meal or whatever if you nuke it long enough, but you also may burn yourself if you don't use a trivet! Settings/Features I don't use many of the settings other than "add 30 seconds" which is pretty handy. I don't cook a lot or defrost so I can't speak to it, but there are a lot of features on the keypad of the microwave so I'd rate it as "Good." Ease of Cleaning I have one of those small plastic enclosed containers you can microwave eggs inside and of course I've had to learn my lesson the hard way that you can't cook the eggs too long or they explode the container lid off and thus spew egg everywhere inside the microwave. However, the glass rotator plate comes out easily as well as the plastic piece it sits on so everything is really easy to clean which is nice. Ease of Use Pretty simple to use for a caveman like me. Durability A piece of plastic burned on the outside of the door, and now there's a small black smudge. Design Nice and small.

I love this microwave oven. My boyfriend got it for us a couple of months ago and we have not regretted him purchasing it. This microwave doesn't cost a lot of money and it still gets the job done. This microwave oven works better than the other ovens I used to own. When I make chicken nuggets, I do not have to add extra minutes to it to be cooked. Everything gets heated the first time and I do not have to add extra minutes. My popcorn does not even get burned. This microwave oven is easy to clean and use. It doesn't take much space and it looks great on my countertop. I recommend this oven for those who don't want to spend a lot of money on a good quality oven.

I have been using this microwave for many years, I used it during my college years and even now when I'm living in my apartment. It warms up food quickly, all the setting and times work very well too. The only thing that I don't like is that as this machine gets old it begins to show because of the white color, which gets really ugly looking. But other than that it's a great machine and would def repurchase when I need to! I would probably buy black this time around though =) Performance great! no problems with this department! Settings/Features I love that it has more than one option for defrost!! seriously when I was a student this was a life saver@ Ease of Cleaning large microwave so this was never an issue! Durability used it in college and moved it back home, no problems whatsoever@

This microwave is very convenient because of it's size and function-ability. It's time and auto defrost is very handy when I have a short amount of time to heat up a frozen dinner. The turn-table allows for even heating and it's size allows it to fit perfectly into the little corner of my counter-top. One button I avoid using is the popcorn button, it always burns my popcorn. other than that, this microwave, is a keeper. Performance Great performance, it does not give me trouble. Settings/Features I do not use most of the features, but I do use the defrost features, which work very well for me. Ease of Cleaning To clean out the microwave, I usually boil water in the microwave and it wipes clean pretty easily. Ease of Use My nine-year-old sister can use this. The ease of use is one of the great things about this microwave. Durability I have had this microwave for a little while now and have never had an problem with it. Design In, my opinion, this microwave is adorable and fits nicely into the little room that I have for it. It's looks pretty nice too.

I bought the GE 700 Watt Microwave about a year ago. It was considerably smaller than my last microwave but I needed to downsize a bit and found the price was right for us and this was perfect size for the counterspace I have. I have had no problems with the power of the microwave, although the auto defrost I noticed, usually takes a little longer than the time it gives you for the weight of whatever you are defrosting. This is usually not a big deal though, I just give it some extra time. As for heating up items, it doesn't disappoint. It has custom functions for Potatoes, Popcorn, Defrosting and more. It may be a small microwave but it is perfect for us. I highly recommend this for any family living on a budget.
