I really like this GE Profile front loading electric dryer. It's fifteen years old and my only real complaint about it is that the two specialty timed settings (Cotton and Easy Care) don't work very well, forcing me to always choose a manually timed setting instead. That's a minor complaint all told. Load Capacity The dryer can handle super sized loads and it can damp dry small, delicate loads. You will need to choose a longer dry cycle to dry a larger load, even if you choose the Cotton settings. Performance I like that you can choose between High, Medium and Low heat settings and that it also has a Fluff setting as well. I have never gotten good results from using the Easy Care or Cotton timed cycles, but the manually timed cycle works a peach. Ease of Use The dryer is very easy to use. The knobs are all marked to settings and the lint catcher is right in the front and removable for easy cleaning. Durability This dryer is fifteen years old. It's got a smidge of rust on the inside of the door, but otherwise it's working great. Design The dryer has an intuitive design making it easy to use, and an appealing appearance, kind of '50's imagined space age in its aesthetic. The only thing I wish had been better designed is the timed cycles for Cotton and Easy Care. They don't work very well, so that's two settings I always avoid in favor of the manual timer, which seems like a wasted opportunity on the part of the manufacturer.
