I really expected this washing machine to be a great one. Sad to say it isn't so. Energy Efficiency It doesn't use too much energy, but I wonder if that would have anything to do with its low agitation problem. Cleaning Time This GE Profile washing machine has a normal cleaning time, but does not get the job done the first time. Performance This washing machine does not seem to clean the clothes as well as I expected. With it being a GE Profile, I expected for it to be a high performance machine, but was completely disappointed to see that the clothes came out a bit dirty as if not enough water had been used. Ease of Use The washing machine is pretty easy to use since it is a top loader and that was one of the reasons I purchased it for my mother so that she would not have to be bending over to use her washer. Design The design of this washing machine is one of simplicity but unfortunately in this case, looks are deceiving. It looks as if it can get all your wash done in one try due to the outside looking bigger than the inside, but in reality you end up having to sometimes even wash your load two times to get it looking clean. Durability I have only had it for a year so I can't really say, but I am not so sure it will last too long.

I love this washing machine. It is the same brand as our clothes dryer and together they work wonders. This washing machine was at our apartment complex when we first moved here over a year ago. It is still working great. The time is takes to wash our clothes impresses me the most above any other feature. It literally takes less than thirty minutes to wash any load of clothes. We have a large family and tons of laundry; therefore most of our loads of laundry are washing with the super setting mode. The machine is usually packed all the way to the top. Our clothes always smell good and look clean after being washed and dried. After bleaching white loads, I use the rinse cycle to wash down any leftover bleach in the machine. We have never had an issue with dark clothes being bleached. It is so easy to use and operate. It took me less than a minute to figure out the settings.

This washing machine has lasted fifteen years and it still washes clothes. There are a couple of settings I can't use anymore, but it still washes clothes! Not bad GE. Energy Efficiency This washing machine can handle loads from small to super and you can turn off the second rinse cycle, so you can avoid wasting water as much as you can using a top loader. It runs on electricity but it is an Energy Star product so overall it's not bad. Cleaning Time The shortest cleaning cycle is the delicate cycle, about fifteen minutes. The longest is the heavy load cycle with thirty minute soak, that can take around an hour total. The settings allow you to customize for time pretty well if that's your priority. The delicate cycle is not recommended for heavily soiled clothes though. Performance This washer is going on fifteen years old and has been through a move, and it still washes clothes. It has started to get standing water in the basin if you run the second rinse cycle. Luckily you can turn that cycle off. The agitator is also starting to run a little rough, forcing me to keep it on the gentle settings at all times. Given how old this machine is, that's not bad. Ease of Use This machine is incredibly easy to use. The settings are all clearly marked on the knobs, just crank it where you want it. The bleach and softener receptacles are easy to find when you open the lid. Design I have no complaints about the design. It's a top loader and it's easy to use. It's lasted fifteen years with only minor quirks. It's appealing to look at with rounded edges, kind of like Disney's Tomorrowland architecture. Durability Given how long this thing has kept running I can't complain about the durability. Would I like to use the second rinse cycle and the fast agitator? Sure, but it's fifteen years old and still runs. That means I have the luxury of shopping around for a good deal on its eventual replacement.

I really like my GE profile top load washer. It gets my clothes clean, which are very dirty sometimes from my big family of boys, and that is what matters. As long as they go in dirty and come out clean I am satisfied. I like that it has the load sensor so I don't have to change the setting myself every time I do a load, and I do alot of clothes. So it works very well for me. Cleaning Time It goes through a load in a decent amount of time. More expensive washers might go through a cycle faster, but for a less expensive brand it does a good job cleaning fairly quickly.

The only good thing I have to say about this washer is that it came free with our home. To be honest, I am very surprised to see such great ratings. We have had this washer for almost 3 years and to tell you the truth, it makes our lives just a little harder. It is supposed to be energy efficient, however, it works so poorly that I end up have to wash several small loads and sometimes re-wash a load before the items get clean. At times, I have to watch the water fill up so I can make sure all of the clothes are getting wet. I have actually had clothes still be dry once the washer is finished. I have a home with many energy efficient appliances, and I think it is very important to do these small things to help better our world. However, by having to wash several small loads (8-10) versus a few large loads (2-3) as I did before, I don't think we can say that this washer saves energy. I would be happy to have my "old timer" washer back with a traditional agitator. Energy Efficiency Although it is energy efficient, I have to do 3 times the amount of loads that I did before. Cleaning Time In order to ensure the clothes get clean, I have to run it on "Heavy Cottons" each time which takes approx. 54 min.

This is a great machine, It washes great, spins clothes almost dry, and is easy to use. I had other machines that have more options and all digital all the newest "gadget" buttons, they did ok, but this machine is a lot better in the long run. the clothes are cleaner and the water levels are great. I do not like the water saver machines they don't use enough water to get clothes clean, (you have to wash twice in those machines) In my opinion with really dirty work clothes this machine gets it done in one wash. And gentle cycle dose great on baby clothes as well. Cleaning Time I like that you can choose how long to wash for what you need. longer for dirty work clothes, and shorter for things only need rinsed out. Ease of Use Very easy to use, and choose how long, size of load and type of clothes to be washed. Durability Only problem I have had is the button that stops the washing process when lid is lifted broke and had to be replaced. Its a safety feature and machine would do nothing without replacing it.

I used this GE washer at my old place. The size of this is right, I was able to fit it in the corner in my bathroom. This washer is very quiet. It doesn't use a lot of water or electricity. This is the old classic traditional washer where you put in the clothes from the top. Modern day washers usually allows you to put the clothes through its side in the front. However, I like the old style better. That's why I chose this washer. It allows you to set the size of the load and the cycles. The clothes always come out clean and fresh. They don't have wrinkles too. It's super easy to use. Just push a couple of buttons and you are all set. Ge products never disappoint.

I have been quite happy with this washing machine. I am particularly impressed on several points. First, it can fit very large loads, which is essential in getting chores done quickly with a large family. I can fit in 4 large bath towels plus the day's worth of clothing for 4 people. Second, it works well even using a cold water cycle (for energy conservation purposes). Third, the programmable cycles are very helpful and totally customizeable. Along those same lines, I like the large number of options for cycles, especially the options for short cycles like quick rinse, drain and spin only, etc. Fourth, the handwash cycle is truly gentle enough for delicates. Finally, we have had our machine for 8 years and have not had any issues. I was concerned about getting a machine with a touch screen, but have been pleasantly surprised that it is durable.

going on 10 years of service and still going strong. Energy Efficiency not a complicated washer, just cleans your clothes. What more can you ask for? Cleaning Time the different wash times range form 6 mins. to soak time of 30 with 10 minute wash. Performance no problems as yet and as stated 10 years in service. That to me is a good review. Ease of Use easy to read dials, not hard to understand just an overall good machine. Design Classic design looks good in my laundry room. Durability It looks like the first day it was installed.
