Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo

This is a good shampoo. I like the lathering effect and how clean my hair feels afterwards. The bottle of shampoo is fairly large, so it lasts a long time and you don't need too much product to get a good wash to your hair.

Not up to the commercial standards.

I bought this shampoo because I thought it would really stop my hair from falling out and breaking off. It has helped so far with the breaking off of my hair, and kept it clean feeling, but I noticed my hair was actually falling out. I could just run my hands through my hair and my fingers would rake out multiple strands. That wasn't normal for me at all.

A great shampoo at an affordable price

I've been dealing with flyaway hair so my daughter let me borrow her bottle of Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo. It comes in a green 13 ounce bottle with an easy from flip top cap. The cap has a small ball built into it that makes it very easy to open in the shower when my hands are wet. I love the smell of this shampoo! It reminds me of fresh cut apples and it really does a nice job of deep cleaning my hair. It claims to contain argan oil from Morocco and apricot, but I don't notice any apricot odor. We have soft water, which makes shampoo and soap harder to rinse out, but Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo seemed even more difficult to remove. Even so, my hair was shiny and clean when it was all blow dried, so there did not seem to be any shampoo residue left. My hair was full of body and bounce, and it remained clean for two days. This is a shampoo that I would purchase because it is a good price and it works as well as my high priced salon brands. Effectiveness Makes hair clean and shiny, helps reduce the flyaways, left my hair full of body Scent LOVE the scent of this shampoo, it smells like fresh cut apples!

I've never written a review for a hair product, but after using Garnier Fructis, I had to write something. Most of the reviews that I read before purchasing Ganier Fructis weren't good. Also, I read reviews that stated that this product was not good for black hair. I'm a woman with typical black hair that about 7 inches long. The products did what they said that they would do.I tried the Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo with Color Shield and the Fortifying Conditioner. The Fortifying Shampoo with Color Shield was perfect for my black-dyed hair. After shampooing my hair, the black hair color did not come out of my hair. All of my other shampoos that I've used caused the black hair color to rinse out with the shampoo. TheFortifying Shampoo with Color Shield kept my color in place. Also, the shampoo left my hairsmelling great! The Fortifying Conditioner with Body and Volume plumped my thin hair up. My hair was thicker and shiny. The only thing that I did not like about the Ganier Fructis product was that it dryed my hair. Moreover, I did not lose anything but 5-7 strands of hair.

A kinder, gentler shampoo.

Most of us harbor a shameful secret or two and one of mine is that my sanity tends to slip a little when I get a free sample of something.  So it was that resolve and good sense were shifted to a back burner the other day when I discovered that my mail included a pouch of **Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo**.  Feverishly, I checked out the ingredients.  I should say that I **tried** to check out the ingredients.  Despite the patient explanations and coaching from my good friend, [This2ShallPass19][1] , I basically understand what a "paraben" is but am not adept at identifying one.  Let's face it, I wouldn't know a "paraben" if it snuck up and bit me but the daunting list of barely pronounceable ingredients on the sample pouch did not bode well.  Not only did a lot of it **not** sound like natural stuff but there was also lurking in the underbrush the treacherous yellow dye which a silver-haired person like me is supposed to avoid.  Even so, there was good news to be gleaned here which even I could understand -- basically, the triple play of nutritive fruit oils including Avocado, Shea, and Olive.  **MY VIEWPOINT:** **Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo** was a joy to use.  It was a kinder, gentler shampoo -- more like a baby shampoo in consistency -- and so smooth and luxuriant that at first I thought I might have accidentally used the conditioner sample of the same brand which I had also received.  It seemed to me that **Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo** was harder to rinse out of my hair than other brands but the end result was lovely, I must say.  Because of what yellow dye there is in this product, I don't think I should use it consistently all the time as my only shampoo and so will continue with [White Rain][2] as a routine but I certainly intend to work in an occasional **Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo** special treatment now and then.  I know my hair will appreciate it.    [1]: http://www.viewpoints.com/aboutme/this2shallpass19 [2]: http://www.viewpoints.com/White-Rain-Shampoo-review-d1d05 Effectiveness According to the label information, the Triple Nutrition therapy provided by **Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo** is supposed to include these oils penetrating each hair strand so that the olive oil can nourish the inner core while the avocado oil softens the middle layer and the shea oil smooths the surface.  In my feverish state, this all made sense to me and a few hours later I was standing in the shower, anxiously eyeing the contents of the sample pouch to assess just how yellow it really was.  Yellow Dye No. 5 apparently differs in intensity from the dreaded (and to be avoided at all costs) Yellow Dye No. 10.  In other words, it wasn't **TOO** yellow.  I took a chance and I'm glad I did. Scent Very appealing fragrance.

"Gunky" Fructis

1

I have purchased a few different items of Garnier Fructis including the Fortfying Shampoo. I am a caucasian female with naturally straight fine/medium hair. After I used the shampoo and conditioner my hair felt awful! Instead of feeling light, soft and weightless like my hair usually feels after I wash and dry it, it felt like I had 10 extra pounds of "gunk" in it. I could not even run my fingers through it it was so heavy and yucky and might I add...VERY DRY!! I actually only wash my hair 3 or so times a week on average and its overall really healthy and shiny. This product definitely was the worst hair product I have ever used. I was dissapointed because with all the fabulous commercials out there, I really thought that this shampoo would make my hair so soft and shiny. Will never purchase Garnier again!

Garnier Fructis Shampoo leaves my hair feeling smooth & strong!

Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo Length & Strength is a good solid product.  My whole family uses it and we all like it.  It leaves your hair feeling clean and smooth.  It has been tested and after using this product for one week makes your hair five times stronger and five times smoother.  Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo Length & Strength is for fragile, hard-to-grow-long hair.  It has vitamins B3 & B6 and also includes Fructose and Glucose.  It helps repair split ends and has an active fruit concentrate.  This shampoo smells good and leaves your hair smelling good.  This product together with one of Garnier Fructis conditioners makes for the perfect combination. After using this product my hair definitely feels stronger and smoother and it also gives it more shine.  I also like the fact that Garnier Fructis seems to have a product for any type of hair.  There are specifically designed formulas for all types and not just one generic formula to cover a bunch of stuff you don't need.  My family has been using this product for years and will continue to do so.  Thanks Garnier Fructis!

Item: Garnier fructis fortifying shampoo I wonder why some of these giant multinational shampoo companies waste their money on huge advertisements when they know that their products do not and cannot fulfill consumers needs. Coming to the point, this shampoo is no different. It promises to turn your hair silky and soft( as shown in the advertisement) but doesn't live up to it. Instead it washes away numerous stands of healthy hair(which is not normal). I have frizzy hair and i've been using this shampoo since the last 6 weeks and everytime i use it I keep telling myself that my hair will be soft after I use it. No prizes for guessing...it got more frizzier. This shampoo simply did not live upto my expections. Home made shampoos are much better than these so called big products. My suggestion is to simply avoid these shampoos that boast of an immediate solution. Because there is no such thing as instant gratification when it come to hair or skin.

***Garnier Fructis Fortifying*** shampoo and conditioner are wonderful products.  Having long thick hair makes it hard to find ones that won't leave my hair feeling like it's not completely rinsed out or heavy.   ***Garnier ***has come up with a fomula that allows me the shine and bounce I want without spending a lot of money or time. I am constantly telling friends and family members to give it a try.

Great all around shampoo

I have thick hair that is wavy and frizzy and just a hassle. Yes, I could cut it, but I like my hair longer. However, finding hair products that work....well, that's what's hard. If I use the wrong one I look bad, to say the least. Some shampoos and conditioners leave me not able to get a brush through this mane. Other's seem fine til the hair dries and then, well, you couldn't tell the difference between me and a bush. Garneir Fructis Fortifying Shampoo always gives me great results. I can get easily get a brush through my hair and it looks shiny and soft, not all dry and frazzled. It also has a great smell. I also use the matching conditioner and sometimes, when it is really humid out, the anti frizz stuff they sell. But, I've been in a lurch, without the other stuff and the shampoo does a great job on it's own. I don't know how they do it, because it does give body to the hair, but it doesn't give that puffy wig look. It's the only product I like using!
