Good for what it is

I've had mixed experiences with this product. My last two uses couldn't be more different from one another. The previous attempt was to go fully Blue Black. The color did not deposit well and faded within a week. This most recent time, I did a reverse ombre using Blackberry Mojito, and I'm beyond pleased with the results. I recommend using a hair mask in the first few days after applying this product, as it can be damaging to your hair.

Definitely a KEEPER

I'm naturally auburn but choose a brighter red to really POP. I've tried many store brands to get that perfect red, and Garnier is the best. Yes, red fades faster than others but the great thing with this one is that it's gentle, and it stays put. Easy peasy. The only thing I wish is that they would upgrade the gloves that come with the set.

Very questionable

Wanted to go for a new look, but from the moment I opened the product. It smelled terrible, now I have done my hair before with Loreal products but it had never stunk as it did now. It worked fine, but their are better products out there.

I love the shade Black Cherry!

I have been dying my hair different shades of deep violet and burgundy for about two years now, and I've had a lot of problems with fading from nearly every at home color I've used. That is, until I started using this. It's so far lasted longer than anything I've tried and I absolutely love the color!!

Claims made about grey coverage left me less than impressed.

The Garnier Nutrisse in dark brown: claims to cover grey, but I noticed it turned grey roots more of a golden brown and golden blonde color. Created a "highlight" look for greys rather than turning them the same color as on box. I noticed on another brand of dye that claims to cover grey, it had disclaimer saying "grey hair turns a golden (color) offering a highlight at home look" That explains it all!! If Garnier would've been upfront about that my opinion would've been different b/c going into it, I wouldn't have had such high expectations. It did create a pretty color for my dark dark brown hair. I've had biolage technique done, so lower half of hair is blonde, I kept this on blode ends for recommended 10 mins, it changed tone to a cool tone, which looked good. The extra oils and "Nutrisse" aspect did leave hair smooth, and shiny, but hair dye manufacturers need to be realistic with their claims as far as how much they actually do! I received this product for free via redeeming a coupon sent to me from pinchme.com #ad .

Best haircolor in a box I've used

5

This is the best home hair color I've used. Easy to apply, great coverage with no uncolored patches, does not make my hair fall out, gives me shiny hair, and the color lasts for weeks. Other brands last around 2 weeks (I have to wash my hair every day.) Plus, I receive lots of compliments on my hair!

It works well!

I mean, if you want a quick solution to your gray hair it would work well. But if your hair grows fast then you should look for another solution.
