I saw an ad for the General Electric JT930 Single Oven which hyped up its "trivecation technology." What this means is that the oven uses some sort of three-pointed heating system to cook your food up to five times faster than normal ovens. My husband and I thought it would be such a good idea for a family on the go, like ours. Plus it was made by GE, a brand we've never had any problems with in the past. Well it turns out that "trivecation technology" is actually a fancy, modern day term for "SNAKE OIL!" This oven cooks at the same speed of every oven day out there. It does not cook, bake, or broil any items at a speed even 1% faster than our old oven. GE also refused to take it back, saying that we had used it, and that cooking speed is a matter of opinion. OPINION!?!?!?!? When your advertising claimed it was fact. Needless to say, it is the last overpriced appliance we will be buying from GE, and may be the last appliance we ever purchase from GE. The kind of false advertising behind the General Electric JT930 Single Oven is a great way to lose a customer.

I had the General Electric JT930 Single Oven in black for a very brief period of time. We purchased it because it was supposed to cook food five times faster than a normal oven because of its "trivecation technology". GE stated the oven also featured speed baking and broiling. I have no idea why this oven is advertised for its speedy cooking, because it cooks at the same speed as any other oven. We were looking for an appliance to save us time when making our meals, this definitely is not the one. This is just a normal oven which is advertised in a falsely, and is overpriced. Do not purchase this. Capacity There is plenty of room in the oven, which is about the only good aspect of this appliance. Performance All of the claims GE stated about this oven were false. This appliances advertisements focus on how quickly it cooks food but it simply cooks like a normal oven. Ease of Use This oven has many settings; however, they are fairly complicated to figure out. I do not feel the need to waste time trying to figure out complicated settings. Durability Because we got rid of this oven fairly quickly, I can not comment on its durability.

I thought that by purchasing a General Electric product that you were getting quality, boy was I wrong. It was first off way over priced, it never worked properly. All of the claims that were made about this over were not true it was a real lemon. We got rid of it after only 2 months and had to get something that would at least work enough to bake and broil. Capacity Oh it was a large space and would hold multiple dishes at one time for cooking big meals, it was just that it never cooked properly. And the main problem was the temperature could never be set properly. Performance Beside the problems with the cooking temperature, we had trouble with the fan within the oven. it was supposed to be a reversible fan for optimal air and heat circulation, but this also never worked properly. Ease of Cleaning It was supposed to be just a dream to clean with the self cleaning feature, but like just about everything on this oven the door would never lock properly for the self cleaning feature to engage. Ease of Use It would have been so much easier to use if it had worked properly. It was like anything that you would cook in it took twice the time with all of the problems that you would have just trying to use it. Durability this thing was junk! From day one it gave us trouble until the day we had it hauled out of the house and had it replaced. Design I think in theory it was a good idea, just too bad it didn't work!
