Cuts down on the grease big time! Great for dieting!
I have had my George Foreman GR10ATMR Indoor Grill for years now and it's still going strong. So many great things about this grill that I don't know how I survived without it before it came out! It really grills chicken, burgers and steaks the best. It amazes me still, how much grease drips down into the catch pan per each use. It really helped me loose weight by cutting down on those greasy calories and fat. The food tastes just as great if not better than it did with all that grease. The non stick material is amazing and it is still holding up well on mine. Cleaning is pretty easy as long as the grill is still pretty hot which can get tedious when you use it as much as I do. That's the only reason I rated it a 9 instead of a 10. I think it's about time for an upgrade because I heard the newer models are even easier to clean. Performance Cooks evenly, and in a decent amount of time. Grills so many different foods and I love the little recipe booklet that comes along with it. Durability As mentioned in my overall rating, I've had this same grill for years now and it works as well as it did the day I bought it. It still has the non stick material on it, opens and closes just fine and heats up fast and cools down fast. I have never had to have anything replaced on it or had to return it due to broken parts. Very durable. Ease of Cleaning It's not hard to clean really, just tedious to clean over and over again when you use it as much as I do. You do have to make sure its pretty hot to get it perfectly clean because once it cools off at the slightest, the little scraper tool doesn't work anymore and even with it being hot still, the scraper doesn't do as well as it claims it should. I pretty much have to wash it the same way I would wash a regular pan and that is hard to do with a grill that looks like and operates like a clam. It can be frustrating and is the only thing I dislike about this grill. Ease of Use Easy to store and easy to use. Since cleaning comes somewhat under the lines of use, I rated this section a 9. As far as how easy it functions; no complaints. You plug it in, wait a small amount of time for it to reach the desired temp, throw your ingredients on the grill and shut the lid. The instructions clearly tell you when you need to push down on the grill lid for certain foods and when you can just leave it sit the way it is. Sometimes you open it up, flip the food and shut the lid again. It all but tells you when its done so that's convenient too. Definitely easier than using an outdoor grill and it can be raining buckets or be blizzard like conditions outside but I'm still inside grilling away!
