Great for people who love to grill.

I got my George foreman XL indoor grill for my birthday last year and I absolutely love it. I love my food hot off of the grill and the George foreman XL indoor grill is the best way to get your food the way you want it even if it's raining or cold. I like it because it doesn't make a mess and it's extreme easy to clean unlike other indoor grills.

It is a great way to cook lean meats without the toxic smoke.

This little grill is amazing for sandwiches, chicken, fish, sausage patties and even vegetables. It is designed to be used for one or two people and smaller amounts of food. The grease tray fits perfectly underneath the machine. You can plug it in and it doesn't use as much power as your oven. Plus, charcoal is expensive and the meat tends to smell like it. All your worries in regards to normal barbecue cooking are cancelled by this invention. When it came out, it seemed silly since I enjoyed outdoor barbecue food, but then my parents bought one. This creation made our food healthier by limiting the amount of grease in our meat. It was also an economically sound purchase and saved the environment. When I turned 18, I bought my own since I had been impressed with it as a kid. I use it mostly for sandwiches, but it is nice when you are tired of pan cooking chicken and want to cook whole pieces of meat. I evenly cooks your chicken or other types of food evenly on both sides. Usually you are able to put food on it and walk away to do a quick thing or two while waiting for dinner. We all enjoy multitasking, so this gadget is perfect. It also has a non-stick surface for easy cleaning. That little things heats up fast, so let it cool unplugged before cleaning. I would feel confident letting a supervised ten year old cooking with it. He or she could use it while I was doing something else in the kitchen that needed more attention and keeping an eye out for my child simultaneously. Performance You plug the machine in, wait about five or ten minutes and the light turns red hot, then whenever you hear sizzling, that is when your food is ready to remove. I prefer this machine for sandwiches, but I can use it for the same type of meat and vegetables you would grill. This thing can't handle corn on the cob, though. Durability I would think it will survive a drop on the floor, but I have never drop mine. I tend to play it safe because I would rather not deal with a headache because I need to buy a new product or wait for a replacement to arrive in the mail. Ease of Cleaning Just use a damp sponge, washcloth, or even paper towel when it is completely cooled off. Ease of Use Perfect for a beginner who is living alone and doesn't have a lot of cooking supplies or a kid learning with supervision.

Don't think you can buy this one anymore

This is one of the original first generation George Foreman grills that was available to market. This was the one that I saw and ordered from the television commercials. The technology used in this appliance is quite dated now and it offers the no nonsense grilling experience. The digital timer allows you to know how long your item has been cooking. It's a very small model, and can fit in the corner of your kitchen area. It makes enough food for one or two people at a time, but if you don't mind the cooking time, it can serve more people. There is a non stick covering that makes it easy to clean, but the problem is that with repeated beatings and daily use, the coating will come off and you will need to replace your model. The plates are not removable, which is a later feature of the newer models, so it may be a bit difficult to clean. There are many different options that are available now. If you can still find this version or on a tight budget, this will work great. Otherwise, be on the look out for newer models with more functionality.

Great grill. I use it for everything from burgers to chicken breasts to vegetables! Does a great job and the food cooks fast. I even use it as a panini press. It's easy to clean too. It's so easy to use, even my husband cooks on it. We've had it for 5 years now and love using it. Makes hamburgers taste almost as good as on our outdoor grill.

I like this George Foreman gill. I don't love it, but I like it well enough. It works the way it's supposed to and serves it intended purpose well. That being said, I don't particularly feel as if these little counter top grills are a necessary piece of kitchen equipment for a household such as mine. There are more deluxe models that are better suited for bigger families, that have more cooking functions and capabilities and just plain make more sense for a larger family. I received this grill as a gift. It may say something that the person I received it from is a bachelor who said he couldn't live without his George Foreman Grill. If you're not cooking for a large family or you don't have a full kitchen at your disposal, then these grills are great. I can imagine that for a college student or someone who doesn't have a full kitchen, this would be far superior to just a hot plate or something of the sort. This will cook steaks and burgers very well. They're supposed to "knock the fat out" too so I guess they might make your red meat somewhat more healthy, though I like the fat juices in and on my meat. (Sounds gross, I know, but still fat marks stuff taste good darn it!) I dislike the little trays that the fat runs out into. I'm always misplacing them. Would be nice if they were somehow attached to clipped to the machine for storage. Durability Mine has lasted years. Ease of Cleaning It's best to clean these grills when they're still warm. Obviously, you don't want it so hot that you risk burning yourself as you clean it, but it's easier to get the grease and little meat bits off when the plates are still warm. Since the plates either don't come out or maybe I just never figured out how to get them out, cleaning the upper plate is kind of awkward.

If you are using it for hamburger, sausage needs this is a great grill aka bang for the buck. Nice edition to any small family or an additional grill for special dietary needs. My mom is celiac so we needed one for her to make her separate food. So it really helped us out!

Great little grilling machine.

I love steak, chicken, and pork chops, but hate firing up the outdoor charcoal grill just to cook a dinner for two. On special occasions, I do cook on the outdoor grill, but for everyday meals, this George Forman Indoor Grill works great!! It makes the most juicy steaks I have ever tasted!! Maybe it is because everything is trapped in the grill rather than losing the precious meat juices in the charcoal. The chicken I make on this thing is delicious and moist. My husband is not a huge fan of steak, but when I make it on this grill (only seasoned with a little coarse salt and freshly grated black pepper), he can not get enough of it. He does not even need to use steak sauce. We bake up a few potatoes in the microwave, and on hot summer days, our house can stay nice and cool since we do not have to heat up the oven. This grill is also really easy to clean. I usually just wipe it down really well after each use, and maybe break out the scrub brush if something gets a little more stuck on than normal, and my grill is as good as new.

Still the great grilling machine from years ago

My friend wanted a simple small George Foreman grill. I wasn't even sure they still made them but after doing some research I found not only do they still make them and people still like the product just as it is. Performance The wattage of the grill is 820 watts powerful enough to cut cooking time to minutes. It sears in grill marks that not only look appetizing but also gives the meat a carmelized flavor. The grill appeal is its simplicity and counter top convenience and the fat fighting ability. Durability I don't know anyone that actually wore out a machine. Ease of Cleaning The grill is non stick and cleanup is a breeze. A quick scrape with the plastic spatula that comes with the grill and a wipe with a wet paper towel or sponge. Best to do while grill warm but not hot. Ease of Use This family size grill is 8 1/2 inches wide by 6 inches high. and 10 inch deep. It grills four burgers or four chicken breast, a couple of larger steaks and is ideal for its simplicity and counter top convenience. The bottom grill deep channels collect fat, and the grill is sloped so fat runs off into a dishwasher safe tray that sits in front of the grill. A floating hinge allows the grill top to raise but remain level allowing the food to cook evenly.

Held up well over years

I have been using this George Foreman GR20CB Indoor Grill for nine years with good success. Overall it is a very good product. The unit is fairly sturdy. My initial grill did have the lid break off, but the company gladly replaced my product after sending in the broken one. It is a little awkward to store in my small kitchen. It heats up quickly, and the heat is evenly distributed over the grill. It cooks quickly thanks to the hot plates on top and bottom. Grease and fat easily drains off the meat and into the collection pan. The food cooked is good, though not quite as good as when cooked on an outdoor grill. I have found that it seems to make a hard crust of any type of marinade on the meat. My biggest complaint about the product is difficulty of cleaning it. It certainly takes some time. Other than that, however, it is very easy to use and an excellent option for indoor grilling or offseason grilling.

I have to rate pretty much any George Foreman grill with a two thumb up but I happen to use this one pretty often. It warms up all on its own and the light will flash over to green when it's at the correct temperature. I've done chicken, steaks and hamburgers on it with ease. It's also a quick way to "grill" up some wennies for those quick hotdogs. My kids have even toasted some sandwiches and burritos on it. Clean up is pretty quick too. For the worse messes, I simply put a wet dish cloth on the top of it and by the time I'm done with the rest of the kitchen clean up, it's ready to wipe off and rinse. I would definitely recommend this to anyone especially those with busy families. I've had this for several years now so I think it's been well worth the money.
