After having some water damage in my basement after a storm I was concerned about mold growth even after running a dehumidifier down there so I purchased the Germ Guardian UV-C Air Sanitizer EV9102 to kill any potential mold spores floating around. I love that this model truly sanitizes the air with the hospital quality UV light. It kills 99.7% of airborne bacteria and mold spores without the use of any chemicals. This is especially important as I have furry babies and don't want to expose them to any unnecessary chemicals. I've found the fan to be very quiet so I can run this all day and night without having to worry about it becoming annoyingly loud, especially at night. I'm not sure about its actual effectiveness since I can't test my air but I have noticed that the air in my basement smells fresh and clean and does not have that stale odor that some basements have. That alone is worth the price of the product. I've been very pleased with my unit and will replace it with the latest unit available from this company when it comes time. I don't plan to be without one again.

I've always wanted an air sanitizer that would be small and powerful. I think Germguardian took care of my need. This product is a pluggable UV-C air sanitizer and is very accomodating to our home. It uses UV-C technology (like the lamps they use in the hositals) and kills all sorts of harmful air-borne bacteria (staph, pneumonia, bronchitis, meninggitis). We use this plug-in in different rooms for different purposes. I plug it in the bathroom to prevent mold and to refresh the air. At night time we usually have it in the bedroom as I think that sleepinng with cleaner air is always a good idea. One of the reasons we put it in the bedroom is my baby's congestion problem. She would wake up all congested, and there would really be no visible reason. After we started using this sanitizer, it seems like her congestion is not as severe. We also have a cat and this product is great to use by his litter box, as it also fights odors. The great thing about this plug-in is that it doesn't require filters and the light bulb only needs replacing about every 8 months (the light will start changing colors when needed replaced). A little pricy, but worth the buy as it helps you stay healthier.
