Has short charge life

4

The Graco direct connect digital monitor does not stay charged through a full night. My twins are 16 months and I had to start leaving one plugged in until it beeps then plug in the other one for me to continue monitoring the babies.. Then some nights I would not hear anything through the monitor and I had to power down the box in their room to get it working again. The clarity is good and so is the range. The only real problem is the charge life.

We got this baby monitor which we put on our baby registry. It looks good, clear and crisp on hearing baby girl when she was in the baby room while we were in the bedroom or living room or kitchen. We didn't have any complaints about this baby monitor. I looked at a lot of baby monitor reviews to figure out which one we wanted. We are happy with our decision. It was hard to pick out which monitor with all the right look, quality and features we wanted. I like the vibration function and the light up buttons. Great design and would recommend to family and friends and others if they were looking for a nice and affordable baby monitor. We told my cousin to wait for a sale and additional coupon to get the best deal for the baby monitor. We love getting the best deals. Sound/Video Clarity Sounds great...we never encountered any interference. Interference We didn't have any issues Portability Very easy. We brought the monitor with us if we were going to anyones house just in case she fell asleep while we were staying longer than expected

Terrible product

1

I used this product infrequently for about a month and it worked fine. The range was decent and I had no real complaints. Well I didnt use the moniter for about 2 months and I went back to use it and it no longer worked. It constantly beeped and said that it was out of range, even when they were next to each other....6 months later and it still does not work.

Love the brand, hate the monitor

Most Graco baby items I have I love....but not this. I wanted to have mobile receivers, which this has, but the receivers only stay charged for a couple of hours. It's really annoying to constantly have to plug them in to charge. We also seemed to get a lot of static and it wouldn't pick up the baby unless he was either screaming or it was really close to him. After a couple months, we just stopped using it all together because it was more of a hassle than a help.

Love!!

I love this monitor. I can hear my baby very cleary, a opposed to monitors I had to return because of the constant static. I've only used the "walkie talkie" feature once to calm my son down when I was down stairs. It's also very small. I was able to set it up on the side of my son's crib, which saves space and make's the night light on the unit a valuable commodity, so I can peer in and check on him at night without having to turn on a light. The two Parent units are handy as well. I put one in our bedroom and on down stair in the kitchen. I've never had to move either of them. I'm not sure how accurate the temperature is on the unit though, the sun shines directly on it in my son's room. Sound/Video Clarity No problems. Interference None. Portability I can't comment on this I've never moved it.

Graco Direct connect is not the most dependable

2

I had a lot of features that I wanted in a monitor and this one seemed to be the best to meet my wishes in a cost effective mannor. I wanted one that was portable with 2 recievers which vibrated since I wasn't sure if sound alone would wake me up (Little did I know the smallest baby peep would wake me up!!) I also wanted one that had a night light and a temperature reading since our house's temperature varies room by room. Well, the nightlight and temp reading work great! I love that there are even 2 different settings for the light! The downside is there is no backlight on the reciever so to check the temp, sound setting, or charge remaining, I have to turn on a light or use my phone light to read the screen. That is fine during the day, but at night it is a pain! Also, we have had several issues with it beeping for no reason saying that it is not plugged in when it indeed is. It has also died many times lately (only had it for 6 months). It just stops transmitting sound at some point even though both parts are near always plugged in. Regularly "resetting" it seems to diminish the frequency of that, but I forget to do that regularly (I shouldn't have to!) That scares me, not knowing how long my baby had been crying before I finally heard him through the walls. Graco customer service was nice and said that we could mail it back and they would evaluate it to see if it indeed had an issue then they would replace it, but if the issue isn't consistent I'm not sure that would show anything. Also, that would leave us without a monitor for however long it took.
