We have a Bissell steam cleaner, and used to purchase their own brand of cleaner for it.  This got really expensive, so when I noticed that the Super Wal-Mart Great Value brand had one to use in Bissell machines, I purchased it. It is a 64 fluid ounce (1.89 L) size bottle, and states that it is an 'allergen control formula'.  The cost was almost half the price of the brand product. It works exactly the same way as any other carpet cleaner.  You add 5 ounce of the liquid to each gallon of water used.  My carpets come up great, and I know that I have saved money. The cleaner contains a stain protector, it penetrates to remove stains and dirt.  It leaves a fresh clean scent, and also removed allergens, including pet dander, pollen, allergens from dust mites, and other irritants.  It is also supposed to brighten colors, and of course cleans. If I am using it on my sofas I place a small amount of hot water in a bowl, add a little of the cleaner, and then use a soft cloth to bring my fabrics make to life.  I then towel dry them before we sit down and relax, after all that hard work.   Performance Great value carpet and upholstery cleaner works just as good as the brand name ones.
