I love this! It cools my huge living room very well! I would buy another one for my bedroom.

We have a 3300 square foot home with central air but we spend most of our time in a couple of rooms. We purchased the Haier window air conditioner unit to save money on the electric bill while still staying cool. We put one in the master bedroom and it did an excellent job cooling the room. The master bedroom is large and there is a laundry area in the hallway just outside of the bedroom. When doing laundry the hallway would heat up from the dryer so I would leave the bedroom door open to let some of the cool air out. The unit was able to keep the bedroom and the hallway comfortable. I have to get up during the night to shut the unit off as with the bedroom door closed the temperature would get too low. I was never able to get the unit on a setting that would maintain the room all night at a comfortable level. It did help reduce my electric bill, the moisture dripped outside the window. I had trouble getting the unit sealed well so I think an improvement on the window mount system is in order.

I have owned a few different Hair model air conditioners through the years, and we always get them at a good price. Most of the grocery stores around our home area have a few models available through the summer. The key to getting a Haier at a good price is to buy at the end of the season. My personal favorite was this model. We had been watching as people would pick it up, look at it, and then put it down when they looked it up on-line. Lucky for me, the initial reviews were not so favorable, but most of the reviews were from people who had an inadequate AC unit for their Square footage room or house. This unit was used to cool our computer room, a whopping 340 square feet. There was only one plug in the room, so a surge protector was called for. We plugged in our computer, a floor lamp, printer, and this air conditioning unit. The draw from all four items were low enough I could run all four and they would not trip the breaker in the fuse box.

I bought a Haier window air conditioning unit a few days ago. While installing I found that one of the curtain is ripped. I called Heier customer support for help and was informed that their computer system is down. They took my phone number and promised to call me back when the system is up. As I did not receive any phone call from them for two days, I called back. This time a peson who answered my phone call was nasty. I was told that to get that ripped curtain replace, I had make a copy of sales receipt and the user manual and send the copy by mail to them. The Heier representative indicated that it may take a month to get the cutain (seems like most of the summer will be over then!). The other suggestion the representative gave me was to take the unit back to the store where I purchased when the store will send the unit back to Heier. It seems like Heier would junk the whole unit rather then just replace the curtain.

I have quite a few window air conditioners purchased over the past few years for various rooms in the house, but this one is by far the best.  It is quiet; so for the bedroom it is perfect.   It was easy to install and it didnt bankrupt me.  I would recommend it to anyone

The haier air conditioner is very simple to install and use and it works great in keeping my small workshop very cool i have had absolutely no problems with it and even bought another and installed it in my nieces bedroom becuase their A/C was on the fritz and they enjoy it very much

Got one used. It just won't quit! It works after been collecting dust for 3 years. The dimensions are wrong: The one I've picked up is 14" tall, 20" across, and 12" front-to-back. Don't know the manufacture date of my model.

I recently purchased the Haier HWF05XCB Air Conditioner.  I was worried at first because it was making a lot of noise, even though the box said super quiet running.  I quickly realized that my husband had not followed the instructions for installing it!!! (This seems to be a pattern with most men!)  So, since having it PROPERLY installed, it is very quiet !!!   It cools the whole back of my Mobile home very nicely.   I am so glad I bought it.

I've heard horror stories all my life about living without air conditioning. It is horrifying to hear my parents tell of growing up and working on farms whose houses did not have air conditioning. What really gives me chills(which I need in this heat) is that they were not in Antarctica but Eastern North Carolina which can have monstrous summer heat and humidity. Fast forward fifty years, and here I am in Eastern NC with my Haier air conditioner, 5200 BTU. Don't ask me to explain BTU in technical terms, but it can be "Boy, That's Ugly" when I've been outside in the sun too long. The air conditioner is not very attractive as it is boxy and an off-white color, but it looks wonderful when I come home after a hot day. There are two knobs for temperature and function. The temperature knob has minimum cooling of one to maximum cooling of ten. The function knob has the off setting and settings from low to high for the fan and air conditioner. During this time of year, the knobs are close to ten and set on high. I've had the air conditioner at least five years, and it has worked beautifully in my bedroom window. Although I've never heard of the Haier brand, their AC helps me beat the heat.
