I bought the Hamilton Beach 10-Speed Wave-Action Blender 50161 to replace my old beat up blender. I liked it had 10 speeds. I am able to make smoothies, blended drinks and yummy salsas. Crushes ice very well. I make pizza sauce, soups and milk shakes too. I enjoy using the blender. I keep it out on my counter-top. The look is clean and it does not take up any room. The speeds, puree and pulse work very well. I have not had a problem with any of the different speeds. The blender i easy to clean. I use warm water and dish soap. I never put in the dish washer but is dish washer safe. The base wipes clean. It does not stain when i use tomato products. I would recommend this blender to anyone needing one. It would be nice in an apartment, it does not take up needed space. Blending Power I think the blender works great. The blender is able to crush ice and mixes very well. Ease of Cleaning The blender is very easy to clean. I use warm water and dish soap but it is dish washer safe. Ease of Use The blender is very easy to use. The buttons names are clear and easy to read. Design I like the color.

I like this little blender. Its my first blender and it has lasted me five years already. Blending Power All of the settings work great the only thing I would like better is if the puree setting was a little stronger. If you puree something you have to keep stopping it and mashing the food down to get everything to puree evenly. Ease of Cleaning I just take mine apart and put everything in the dishwasher. Super easy. I do occasionally I wash all the pieces and parts by hand but the dishwasher usually gets the job down. Ease of Use Super easy. Just add your food or ice or whatever your doing, make sure the lid is on, and press the button. Each job has its own button so whether you want to puree, crush ice, or blend you just hit the buttons. Design Its a nice looking blender. It looks nice in my kitchen. I do not keep it out all the time due to space on my counters. Durability It has lasted me five years so i think its pretty durable. I make smoothies and crush ice for drinks and have even pureed veggies to hide into food for my kids.
