I've had this Tea Maker for about 4 years now. It still works amazing!!! I love that you can choose how strong you want your tea and how fast it makes the tea. I've tried other tea makers and none of them compare to this one. The only thing I have difficulty with is getting all the tea stains from the corners. Luckily the magic eraser works amazing cleaning the tea off. It's just the little corners that are hard to get. If and when my tea maker quits on me I will be buying that exact same one again! Amazing product for tea lovers. Performance Fast and Simple .. you can put the pitcher in the refrigerator right after it's done. I love it!!! Safety It does get a little hot on the outside, so watch your kids when making your tea. Ease of Cleaning Tea stains everything!!!! Little corners hard to clean at time. We actually bought this iced tea pitcher with some of our bank account points and we really enjoy it. My husband drinks iced tea all the time so brewing it in a pot on the stove took a long time and didn't make very much. This pitcher is very convenient and super easy to use. It is designed sort of like a Brita pitcher where it has a white section at the top this section is where the pitcher brews the tea. It is really nice because you can set the strength of your tea so you can make it strong or weaker depending on your individual taste.The pitcher is sturdy and easy to clean. One aspect that I do not like about the appliance is that it does take up counter space. We use it a lot and so it is constantly sitting on the counter taking up space and making the counter look a bit cluttery. Like I said before we bought it with our bank account points so we received this pitcher for free, but I know it can be a bit pricey. If you drink a lot of iced tea and don't have time to sit around waiting on the stove to heat up this ice tea brewing station is really for you!

I FINALLY broke down and bought a tea maker because I figured it would be cheaper to brew my own tea compared to how often I purchased it at the store! The Hamilton Beach tea maker is so easy to use and saves a lot of money in the long run! You can use tea bags (which I do) or the loose tea. The Hamiton Beach tea maker also has the nice pitcher that you can put directly into your refridgerator after it is done brewing so you do not have to mess with cleaning and finding another pitcher! The tea maker is also convenient because it has the automatic shut off once it is done brewing so you do not have to worry about watching it. I have set up my tea, start brewing it, leave my house, come back and it is ready to drink! If you like to drink tea, buy yourself one of these and brew it at home!

I got the Hamilton Beach 40911 2 Quart Auto Shut-Off Iced Tea Maker as a gift. I do make and drink a lot of iced tea, but although this appliance does what it says, I think that it's really not worth it. The best way (in my opinion) to brew iced tea is manually. Get a pitcher, put in tea bags, and add room temperature water. Let it sit on your counter until it's the strength that you like - that's it. The tea will of course steep more slowly, but the flavor is better. You don't need heat to brew tea. My Strike One against this appliance: using hot water to brew tea gives it a harsher tannic flavor than I like . Strike Two: it uses electricity -- so I'm spending energy and money to heat tea that I won't drink hot. Strike three: There isn't one. That's why I'm not giving it lower than an average rating.
