Best crock pot I have owned!!

This slow cooker was purchased to replace a very old one that finally stopped working. It heats up so quickly and gets quite hot even on low. I have cooked thawed meats on low in an hour or less and have cooked a 3lb. frozen beef roast on high in 2 hours while still retaining all the flavor and moisture of the roast. I haven't cooked much else on high as I imagine it would be boiling in no time considering how hot this cooker gets on low. I did read that I can cook directly with the insert on the stove to speed up the cooking time, and have friends who have done that, but I prefer to do all my cooking directly in the slow cooker. It is oval in shape and takes up very little space. The cord wrap on the bottom was a nice surprise and makes storage very convenient. The "warm" setting is also a nice feature of this slow cooker. I would definitely recommend this slow cooker to anyone experienced or new to slow cooking.

I am a total crock pot cooker! The Hamilton Beach 5.5 Quart Oval Slow Cooker Crock pot is wonderful! It's very large, super easy to use, and to clean up! I love to cook in the crock pot, because I can start my dinner first thing in the morning, cook it all day, and have it ready when the family comes home at night. I also like that it has a few different settings (high, low, & warm). If I am in a hurry, and want my meal cooked in a few hours, I can set it to High. If I have all day to cook the meal, I can set it to Low, and go on with my day. The warm setting is great too if I want to just keep my meal warm, but not really continue cooking. I especially like that the inside crock can be lifted out of the cooker. This makes it very easy to clean up, and super easy to set on the table as a main dish. I have figured out that the best and easiest way to clean the crock, would be to spray it with a cooking oil spray before cooking in it. This makes the leftover/baked-on foods just wipe right out. I have cooked Stews, Shredded Roasts, Chili, Soups, Desserts, and even Oatmeal (overnight). I find the slow cooker very versatile, and it doesn't heat up my house like an oven does. If your looking for a large slow cooker that is easy to use, and easy to clean-up, then look no further. This is the one for you. It is very reasonably priced, and you will be able to use it for years and years to come!

I had never really been a slow-cooker type of gal until I got this as a Christmas gift awhile back.  (Previously I was a microwave everything type of mom.) Now I find that I use it at least twice a week.  I love that it has three different heat settings -- high, low, and keep warm.  (My previous slow cooker just had low and high.)  My only complaint (and a small one at that) is that the outside of the cooker gets really hot, so I have to make sure it's far enough back on the cabinet that little hands don't touch it accidentally.  Other than that it's wonderful. We've used it for making all kinds of recipes so far - from "dirty bird" gumbo to jambalaya, from taco soup to barbecue pulled pork.  I love that the stoneware is removable, it makes storing leftovers a breeze.  It also makes clean-up so easy. I would recommend this product to anyone who loves to make meals that are easy, healthy and yummy!

I love this slow cooker by hamilton Beach. Nice stainless steel exterior which is easy to clean and nice to look at as well. I love it because it is so convenient to use. I just put in the ingredients before work, turn it on and when I get home it is done! It has a nice "keep warm" feature that is great as well for anyone who may not be around at dinner time or for parties when you want your food to stay warm during the course of the event. It is stylish and sleek lookiing and I really love it. It has a nice ceramic lift out center which is easy to clean. I dont see any downside to this Hamilton Beach slow cooker. I have had other crock pot type cookers but this one beats them all. I would recommend this to all my family and friends if they are looking for a crockpot. Slow cookers are sure an easy way to cook for anyone who is busy with kids or work or on the run. Just add ingredients and go or relax while this slow cooker does all the work for you ! I give it FIVE stars!

I recently purchased this to mak my first corn beef and cabbage for St. Patricks day. The slow cooker worked great. It is so nice to come home and not have to cook. And the clean up was so easy. It also comes with a removable cast aluminum cookware which offers even heating and nonstick performance. Plus it is oval shape is the perfect size because it makes it seem much bigger then 5.5 quart capacity. the slow cooker works great for cooking up soups, casseroles, pot roasts, corn beef and cabbage, chili and more. Simply add ingredients to the unit's crock, insert it in the cooker, and turn the temperature-control dial from off to keep warm, low, or high. And wala you come home to a cooked meal. I love it. Cooking Performance takes a little longer then usual

This oval Hamilton Beach slow cooker is a great timesaver. Being able to view the cooking process without lifting the lid is handy because of the clear glass lid. I especially like the "Keep warm" feature to prevent further cooking when waiting for dinner guests.

The Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker is a great time saver and cooks your food to the exact desired tenderness. I like the oval shape and low sides on this one better than my old Crock Pot Cooker which was round and had higher sides as it is easier to get to the bottom of the pot to stir or turn your food. My old Crock Pot finally died after 17 years of service. It was Hamilton Beach also so I expect to get plently of delicious meals for years to come.

I have never used a crock-pot in my life before getting my Hamilton Beach Crock-Pot.  New users do not fret...you can do this!  Comes with great recipes to get you going, additional recipes are easily accesible online, this crock is great for setting and forgetting!  Although it has no medium setting, I don't know what I'd use it for anyway because no recipe I've found warrants a medium setting.  No worries here folks, plug it in, fill it and wait to enjoy the succulence it brings!

This is a well-designed unit that really helps me get things done. I've done chili beans and a turkey stew with great results. It is also quite attractive chrome and black. It comeswith a durable black band to secure the lid on the removable tray for transport. On top of that, it is easy to clean. I whole-heartedly recommend this slow cooker from Hamilton Beach.
