It may seem strange for a male such as myself to be writing a review for what seems to be a quintessentially female shampoo. But, much like the protagonists of Herbal Essences many commercials, I too have had the urge to herbal from time to time. Whether it's because I have run out of my own shampoo and need to borrow some from my wife or my mother or whoever, or whether I have decided to buy a bottle for myself just to give it a try, I have to say that I have been always thoroughly satisfied with my experiences regarding Herbal Essences, especially their Clarifying Shampoo product. I have not only possessed more fragrant smelling hair after I finished showering, but my hair had gained a healthy shine and bounce, on top of a type of clean that reaches down deep into my scalp. To the men of the world who might seem embarrassed about partaking in such a "feminine" shampoo, believe me when I say that you need not worry about losing any "man points": your lady friend will love the results if you use Herbal Essences, and you yourself will notice and love the results.

Herbal essence clarifying shampoo is my absolute favorite shampoo. I was introduced to it by my husband, then boyfriend, who has very sensitive skin and eczema. This is the best shampoo for his sensitivities. I get headaches easily from prime and other fragrances and this shampoo has just the right amount. I smell and feel fresh without being too overwhelmed. This shampoo is (obviously) great for both men and women. My husband has a normal length boys cut which he styles with gel daily. I have mid back length hair with a slight wave. This shampoo doesn't dry my hair out scalp out and also doesn't leave unwanted residue. I definitely recommend it. I've used it for years, though I alternate with other shampoos from time to time. Effectiveness Clean hair without residue or harshness. No problems with dandruff, split ends, or breaking hair. Scent Light, fresh, wonderful and NOT overpowering. Not fruity or perfume-y. Works well for men and women.

I used to use Herbal Essences as a kid, I remember that these were the only shampoos my mom used to buy and keep in the house. I get kind of nostalgic thinking about it. For most of my life I had really long straight, medium textured hair. I went swimming everyday as a kid because we had a pool in our backyard. My hair was always really healthy, I never had any split ends, and it was never dry even though I swam all the time. I have this Herbal Essences shampoo to thank for that. This gives your hair such a deep clean, it took all the chlorine and bad chemicals out my hair with ease. Not only give it clean my hair really well, it left it soft. shiny, and tangle free. Not to mention it smelled amazing. As a kid I was messy and didn't care much for my hair, but it left it smelling great and in good condition. I never had damaged hair while using this... I wish they still sold this shampoo, while I love the new Herbal Essences shampoos, nothing beats the old ones. And I haven't found a clarifying shampoo that I love as much as this one... Effectiveness It took out all the chlorine in my hair, and build up that I had. It left me with shiny, moisturized, healthy, and tangle free hair. My hair was long when I used this and it left my hair in amazing condition. Scent The old Herbal Essences, had a fresh scent to them. They were very clean smelling. I can't quite describe it anymore but it was kind of like aromatherapy type scents. I miss them

Other shampoos leave my hair all sticky after a night of sleeping on it, but not this one, it kept my hair soft and dry, and shiny. I absolutely love this Effectiveness I really wasnt expecting it to work but i was pleasantly surprised Scent Doesn't really have a strong scent i didn't even notice until it was pointed out by a friend

Back when this shampoo first came out it made such a difference in my hair, it's thin and fine. I was saddened that this was taken off the market and never found anything quite like it. The shampoo came back and so did the life of my hair! It comes out smooth looks great and makes my hair look like it has volume. This shampoo and the conditioner really give me the hair I want and deserve. Effectiveness If you have thin fine hair you know what knots are all about! You also know that volume can be a complete issue as well. With this Shampoo you can forget that you ever had those problems. My hair is the healthiest and the best it's looked in years. Feel great to go out with fabulous looking and healthy hair! My hair dresser said my hair is the smoothest it has ever been. Since my hair is so thin it becomes greasy very quickly but I find my hair doesn't get greasy as fast and I do not need to wash hair everyday. Scent This is one of my favorite scents, it's not to strong but leaves your hair smelling fantastic the entire day!

i love love love love love herbal essences's shampoo because it actually works on my hair! it completely hydrates my hair and makes it really really smooth and silky! i straighten my hair almost every single day and dye it quite frequently so it's important for me to have a shampoo that can pretty much heal my hair since i do not buy heat protectant products for my hair. i like that it also takes away any oily ness that i sometimes get on hot days! i've been using it for about a few years now and would not think of switching hair products! not only does it smell great but it does not weigh down my hair or make it flat or fluffy! sometimes it's a bit pricey but it's worth the little extra money for such a great product! the scent of this product is soooo amazing and i do not even like coconut one bit but i make an exception for this one! i would most definitely recommend everyone and anyone to try this product! you will not be disappointed from it one bit at all!!!

When I use Herbal essence dailey clarifying shampoo. im left with silky hair that smells good, and tangle free. Its comes in delicious scents that always leave my hair smelling wonderful for forty eight hours. sometimes in certain hair types can leave hair looking oily, but above all great product.

Herbal Essence's original shampoo formula is still the best out of all the Herbal Essence shampoos'. The original leaves the hair feeling soft and silky without the feel of build up or greasy residue by the end of the day. It helps keep the color and shine without salon prices, last time I colored my hair I did not purchase any shampoo products to extend the life of the color, I only used Herbal essence original formula shampoo and the color stayed an extra two weeks without looking dingy. I would recommend herbal essence original formula to anyone looking for a simple easy to use shampoo.

The Clairol Herbal Essences Clarifying Shampoo is amazing- incredible smell and you an almost feel the impurities leaving your hair and going down the drain. You will get a bounce in your style and a "run your fingers thru your hair" sensation, especially soft when paired with the matching conditioner. It comes in a clear bottle, dark green lid. The shampoo is especially targeting normal to oily hair (where my hair lies which is probably why I like it so much- it's individualized). Why does it smell so good? Well it's made of natural botanicals, the intoxicating essences of rosemary, the sensual perfume of jasmine and sweet touch of orange flower. It's like pouring perfume on your head, but without the nasty damaging chemicles and harsh pollutants. No one wants hair that feels heavy and weighed down by their shampoo. That's why the clarifying agent in the Herbal Essences shampoo is just right, cleansing each and every strand for an incredible shower experience!
