My cats love this cat food.

I adopted my first cat, Heidi, from the shelter. The shelter had a store there so i figured I would buy the cat food from them and that's when I bought Hill's Science Diet. Then when I adopted my second cat, Bella, I wanted to feed her the same cat food as she has been eating, which was organic. So I fed both of them the organic stuff figuring it would be healthy. Boy was I wrong. Heidi started throwing up from it. I switched them both back to Hill's Science diet and they don't have any problems. As far as I can tell this has been the best cat food out there for my cats. Since then I have adopted another cat, Blizzard, and he loves it too. They are very picky cats. They will not eat any type of wet cat food. The only other thing I will feed them is tuna. So all of my cats eat the same food now and none of them have had any problems. Science Diet is kind of expensive but I'm willing to pay for great quality cat food for my cats.

Surprisingly good and the cats love it

We got a bag of samples of this product from Pet Smart and opened one for our cats, and they ran up and bumped heads to take turns eating it. Years ago, similar products may have been good for cats, but they would fuss and ask for other foods. This is not the case now. This formulation has improved enough that all our cats really like it. It has all the nutritional needs of the cats in this product alone, plus it comes in formulas for special needs cats too. Quality of Ingredients It must be good, because my cats finish the whole packet every time. The aroma is strong and pleasant, bringing the cats in to try it, and they like the taste enough to keep eating until it´s all gone. The freshness is also quite good. Flavor Selection There are a few choices, but the choices are not so much flavor as formulations for cats with certain needs, such a growing, aging, sensitive, and others.

More expensive but worth it.

When we first got our cat in college we went through multiple types and brands of food to find which our cat liked best and we liked best feeding him. We settled on Science diet as he seemed to enjoy it more and it made his liter box smell a lot less, much more oder was present when feeding him Purina or any of the indy brands. I typically get teh 30 lb bag from petsmart for aroun 25 and it lasts a good 3-4 months.

Gave our kitties shiny coats!

Our kittens were both really sick when we brought them home from the shelter, sniffly, scraggly.  One of them could barely breathe and their coats were especially wiry.  I asked the lady at the pet store which brand she recommended and she said Hill's Science Diet.  We've fed them Science Diet from the beginning and have never looked back.  It made their coats so shiny and soft and brought them back to health.  People are always commenting about how nice our cats' coats are. Our vet also recommended Science Diet.  We've tried the regular kind and the indoor cat version.  We switched to the indoor cat version because one of our cats was starting to get a bit overweight.  With the switch plus a bit of portion control, he's back down to a healthy weight.  I also like that the pieces are bigger, so it encourages them to chew the kibble, which supposedly helps to "brush" their teeth.  We're sticking with the indoor cat version and will move on to the adult indoor cat version soon.

Best Cat Food on the Market

I work at an Animal Shelter and we have a contract with Hills Science Diet.  Hills sends us bags of dog and cat food for the shelter animals and we feed it exclusively.  All the shelter has to pay for is shipping, so we get bags of food at a very affordable price.  We used to feed whatever food was donated, which most of the time was off-brand food.  Science Diet is such a good quality food that once we started feeding it to the shelter cats, we noticed major a difference in their health and the quality of their stools.  Science Diet may be on the pricey side, but it really is the best quality dog and cat food out there, plus, you have the added benefit of knowing that some of your money spent will go to help Hills continue the shelter feeding program and keep offering shelters food at great prices.  Shelter dogs and cats who are stressed out need the best food possible to maintain good health.

Hill's Science Diet Cat Food

5

My cat's veterinarian recommended Hill's Science Diet Dry and Canned cat food (Hill's) many years ago.  I have indoor cats with sensitive stomachs, they cannot digest any food with artificial fillers and colors.   While it's true I try to vary their diet so they don't get bored; I always have Hill's in the pantry.  Since these are indoor cats Hill's controls their weight and offers top drawer nutrition (real meat, fruits, vegetables and nutrients). Sadly we lost a cat last year; however, he was 19+ years old!  I'm not suggesting Hill's can take all of the credit for this, but it certainly didn't do any harm.   Also Hill's makes a second brand called Natures Best which is also a quality product if you want to add variety.
