Overall, a very good machine. It looks cute and sews as well as the more expensive brands. It has all of the normal stitches, including a one-step button-holer. And I imagine it would be pretty easy to learn on. Stitch Performance It stitches evenly and well. Unlike some brands, I haven't noticed the tension on it messing up at all. Surprisingly, it even seems to work well with relatively thick fabrics, such as denim. Ease of Use The self-threader is nice, especially if you're sewing for multiple hours at a time and switching thread a lot. The reverse button takes some serious finger power, but I'm not sure if that's a fluke in the design or if it'll get lighter with more use. Fabric Handling It doesn't work that great on really light-weight or slippery fabrics such as chiffon and satin, but it's still work-able. For normal to heavy weight things it feeds well and doesn't try to side-slip at all. Design It's annoying that the stitch dial doesn't have the stitches on it. It's just labeled A, B, C, etc. However, it does have a hidden stitch panel, so you don't have to refer back to the manual every time you switch stitches. Durability This is surprisingly sturdily built, considering its appearance. Nothing has yet broken on it(besides a few needles, but that's inevitable when sewing through lots of layers of thick fabric).
