I have owned this flat iron for several years and I love it. It works very well and is very sturdy. I have had other flat irons that broke rather quickly or the cord snapped near the base. This flat iron just keeps on going. Effectiveness It gets my hair perfectly straight, which is no easy task! I have curly, thick hair. Durability I cannot remember exactly when I got it but it is very durable.

This is a great flatiron.  first of all the plates are red ceramic to reduce static electricity on my and my daughter's hair.  We share this iron and enjoy it greatly.  I love the heat settings on this iron the best because it has a low level of heat for my daughter's hair and a very high setting of heat for my hair that is coarser. The one thing about this iron that I would change is that it needs to have something to set it on while it is hot.  I hate putting it down on my counter because I am afraid it will burn my counter.  It needs something to set it on.  I also would add an automatic shut off device because the iron gets so hot, I would like to have peace of mind that if I or my daughter were to forget and leave it on and leave the house that it would cause a fire.  So, in summary a device to turn it off after so long, similar to that like a coffee pot has would be great!!! I also like the size of the ceramic plates on this iron.  They are not too narrow as some irons are.  This iron is wide enough to get enough hair in so I can have my hair done in a timely fashion, but not wide enough that it messes up the flattening technique. This is a great iron and I look forward to more products from this company,

My mother purchased the Jilbere De Paris flat iron in the year 2006 and I have been using it for the last two to three years! Over and over again when I want that sleek salon finish look, after washing and blow drying my hair or if i'm having a bad hair day, i just use the Jilbere flat iron.  When i first used the iron it straightened my frizzy curly hair beautifully, the ceramic plates changed my "Hot Mess!" look to "Hot stuff!" The Jilbere flat iron gave my hair a nice smooth silky finish. It's very easy to use as you just plug it in, press the on button . The various temperature's on the iron allow me to adjust the intensity of heat that my hair gets. I would recomend this Flat Iron brand over all the others! However the maximum heat temperatures can cause your hair to fry or stick together in clumps. I suggest using heat protection oils when ironing your hair!  Overall it's a great product , i have a big one i would prefer it if it were in a 1 inch more convenient smaller size not sure if they have one.

I love this flat iron. It heats up in about one minute. It has a long cord which i love because then i don't have to stretch it all the way over to my mirror. I only need to run my hair over about one time then another time really quickly. I love this flat iron because it's nice and it isn't too expensive. It gives me less damage to my hair. This doesn't leave my hair frizzy it actually leaves it kind of of shiny and smooth. This stopped working after 6 months which isn't long. It does get really hot so i suggest using some heat gloves that they sell especially for hair irons. I love this straightening iron and my mom got me this for my birthday and i was so happy. I suggest using heat protectant spray before using this straightening iron because since it's so hot it may damage your hair.

**My grandmother gave this to me as a present and its the best flat iron for anytype of hair im mexican and italian so my hair is natraully thick and curly and long it takes me a avrage of 15 mins or less to straightin my hair im absoulutely in love with this flat iron the plates are thin but that dosent make a diffrence my room mate has like three diffrent types of flat irons but she uses mine all the time because nothing else compairs i have used hot tools before there a really good brand in the hair tools bussiness but ****Jilbere Flat Iron Straightener blows them out of the water by far the cord is a not tangle cord which is a bouns it heats and cools fast dose the job quick and you can use it to curl your hair so had more than one use.**

I love my Jilbere de Paris Titanium Tools Professional Straightener! The plates are made of titanium (which I've heard is suppose to be better for your hair, but I'm not a hair person so I'm not completely sure) and come in a variety of sizes; my particular straightener has 1" plates (also comes in 1 1/2" and 2 1/2" plates). I love that there is a large heat range and even a guide inside the instruction manual of what heat setting you should set it on based on your type of hair (1-7 for fragile/very fine hair, 8-17 for thin/easy-to-curl hair, 18-25 for normal textured hair, 26-35 for wavy/curly hair, and 36-40 for coarse/very thick hair). This is really the only straightener I have found that really works on my hair as it is very coarse and extremely thick. It is pricier, but I think it is well worth it as it is of high quality and has lasted me several years - going on two, we'll see how long it keeps working. Well worth the money you spend on it.

I have had the same Jilbere straightener for 4 years, and I am just now getting ready to buy a new one, but not because it is broken, its because I need a smaller size. You see I have had long hair since I bought it and I originaly bought a 2 inch, But since I am about to cut it off to above my shoulders I think it would be best to have a 1 inch or a 1 1/2 inch. I think I have dropped it daily and now it wont just pop open anymore but that just happened like a month ago, after a mission trip so who knos what happened lol. Also even though is wont open on its own I can still open it easily and straighten my hair just fine. everything still works just fine except, that it wont open. This is honestly the best straightener I have ever owned. I can get my curly frizzy hair perfectly straight in under 30 min. I have finished my hair even on the worst of bad hair days in 15 min! If I could ever recomend a product it would b this one. I am in love with it and would never buy another brand. The only negative I have it that when u turn it on the light just comes on it doesnt blink or anything so you dont kno when it is fully heated, but if u listen you can hear an almost silent clicking that happens and that is how I kno it is ready. :)

The ceramic flat iron by Jilbere de paris is GREAT!!! i love it and the price is amazing. i have tried so many flat irons that just left me with frizzy hair and not straight! But this one is amaziing!! You only have to go through your hair with it once and its already straight! if you want it even more straight then you can do it a couple more times but once is enough!! And this comes from someone who has thick hair!! Another thing that i love is that once i plug it in, it only takes seconds to heat up! its INSTANTLY!! Other irons take forever to hear up and dont have as many settings as this one does. You can choose the temperature you want so if you have thing hair you wont use the hottest temperature and end up with fried hair. Also i dont know if many people know this but this porcelain flat iron also CURLS hair!! yes... it does really cute round curls. I have also noticed that with the one i have which is a 1 inch, i get my hair straight faster like around  25 minutes when it is completely dry...i have never tried this wet and wouldnt reccomend it cause jilbere has a wet to dry flat iron but this one is the best!!!

The Jilbere straightner, Porcelain Series, works perfectly for me because it is designed for women who have shorter hair. Turns out there are 2 models, therefore this review applies to the latter. The plates are longer and slimmer than most regular straightner which allow you to straighten closer to the root. Since it is the porcelain series the plates are designed to reduce frizz. There are approximately 30 heat settings; however, I usually keep it at the highest setting for every day use. When I am working to create a more volumized look i tend to reduce the heat which prevents it from becoming too sleek. This particular model heats up within a minute or so which is perfect for my morning routine. Another thing I like about the model, unlike other straigtners I have had in the past, is the extra-long power cord it comes with. I personally do not like plugging my straightner in the bathroom, because of the risk and or fear of eletrocuting myself, so i can use this in my bedroom because the cord reaches way past my dresser and mirror. I highly recommend this straightner as I've had it for 3 years and it still works perfectly!

i've tried a lot of flat irons, and most left my thick hair dull and still frizzy. the jilbere titanium is definitely the best i've ever used.  it has a heat dial so i can adjust the heat to what is best for my hair.  it is durable and well made, i have had mine for over 3 years.  i travel a lot, so i appreciate it's sleek thin design when i squeeze it into a full suitcase.  it has an extra long cord so i can reach a mirror pretty much anywhere.  the heat plates wrap around the edge so my hair gets full heat coverage and doesn't break by getting caught on the seams - a problem i've experienced with other flat irons.  the coated plates slide easily on the hair for quick and beautiful straightening, and my hair stays healthy and strong, not burnt from overexposure.  jilbere titanium tools flat iron makes my hair smooth, shiny, and super straight - no frizz, all in a stylish design.   i am very happy with it.
