Cute, but not for anything horizontal.

I am a home stager and use steamers on just about everything. This one however is not good on anything flat. Such as bedding, furniture covers, etc. When I applied it, all the water poured out onto the bed. Yikes!

A very helpful item to own!

This steamer works like a dream! I've always dreaded the task of ironing in the past, never had the patience for it. I worked behind the scenes for a few photo shoots and used the larger professional steamers, daydreaming about how nice it would be to own one. Along came this little gem and I swiped it up. It irons out my clothing in no time and with a very small amount of preparation. Performance It irons out everything I need in no time and with little effort. My only complaint would be collars, I do wish they were easier to iron out with this. Safety There were some malfunctions at first but I think all due to human error. Make sure you empty out after use or it will leak out if left overnight, and watch the steam it can be very hot! Ease of Cleaning No cleaning necessary really so that's a plus. Ease of Use So portable and simple to use, I take mine everywhere anytime I am on a trip or car road trip. It heats up so fast. Durability It does only last through a couple of items before it needs refilling, but holds up to anything I want to iron, including my heavy drapes. Design One of the best features, it is so compact and cute, I get asked about it all of the time, the design is great.

My Little Steamer is great for traveling.

I got this steamer because I went off to college and there was no way I could fit an ironing board into the room. I don't use this steamer that often, as most of my clothes don't need to be steamed, but I use it every once in a while. It works pretty well for me, there's only a few complaints I have. Firstly, it's hard to find something to hang the clothes on so you can steam them. This might only be my problem, but I heard you can't hang them against wood because you don't want the steam hitting the wood. Secondly, it leaves wet spots on my clothes sometimes. This is only when I get too close to the clothes, but it's still annoying to have to stay a certain distance away. It is great for traveling, though, and it comes with a little carrying sack that you can throw everything in. It's nearly silent, and it doesn't make the room much hotter than it was before, which is great for my small dorm room. Overall, I love it, and I would recommend it to anyone who lives in a small space or to anyone who spends a lot of time traveling and can't bring an ironing board wherever they go.

works, but has flaws

It works rather well but, because it can hold a lot of water, I find it gets heavy. It occasionally stops steaming. However, it starts back up in seconds. I think that reason it does this is for safety reasons, it might just be preventing itself from overheating. It's too big to be a travel steamer, but its great for every day use when you are in a hurry. It drips hot water if not held upright, so you have to be careful.

My Little Steamer is AWESOME

I have been really impressed with the performance of the Joy Mangano My Little Steamer. I hate ironing my clothes. I also have a ton of dress clothes that need ironing. So what I have been doing is washing the clothes and then putting them in the dryer, as soon as they are done drying I will hang them up and place them in the closet. Then when it is time for work on the weekdays I will plug in my little steamer while I am getting ready for work and then I will steam my clothes while they are still on the hanger. This steamer works great. All the wrinkles are gone and it doesn't spit water all over the clothes like some steamers tend to do. This steamer is a great steamer and it is also a great price. If only there were more coupons for this product I bet more people would be willing to purchase it. I think that this product is great for anyone who might be traveling as well. It is a great product for everyone to use, plus the safety features are great too. Performance It gets the wrinkles out of everything and does it quickly, which is important. Safety There is a nice protector on the steamer, making it much easier to use. And making it so I don't get burned. Ease of Cleaning I think that cleaning it is very easy, especially since the only thing that is in it is water. Ease of Use It would be nice if the instructions were more specific on how to attach the attachments, but overall it is a great product. Durability I've had mine for 6 years now and it is still working great. Just take care of it and it will last you plenty of years. Design It is a little bulky to store but overall I have been pleased with it.

Works well for crafts.

I bought this little steamer to use with crafting projects, rather than on clothing. Mostly I have used it to block yarn projects and it is exactly what I needed. I've used it on both wool and acrylic projects and it works great. The only thing I wish I had the one with the extra 8in head and retractable cord. I think they would be worth the extra money and have thought about giving away this one and buying the other!

Quick and efficient, just watch your hands

I love this little guy! I didn't want to invest in something pricey, all I needed was something small and convenient, and this fit the bill wonderfully. Sure it doesn't have tons of settings or safety features, but it has a powerful steam factor and doesn't take more than a couple minutes to do what it's supposed to. Performance Does the job and does it well. Safety Don't think there are any safety features in this! But it does the job well, just keep your hands and face out of the way! Ease of Cleaning Very easy, really don't need to clean it very often, but I do just to be on the safe side. Easy pour spout and dust and grime wipes off easily. Ease of Use Couldn't be any easier, just put in the attachment you need, plug it in, let it sit for a minute, and steam away! Durability For being a little cheap handheld, it is quite durable. I have had mine for over a year with no issues whatsoever. Design Great and compact, love the little bag it comes with! You can put all the attachments with it and keep it out of the way, plus the sleek modern design is a nice touch so it goes with your own decor!

My Little Steamer is a fighter - whooped my wrinkles booty!

I love my Joy Mangano "My Little Steamer"! I've never been a fan of ironing, I only know one person that lives for it: my mom! I didn't inherit that trait FORTUNATELY! Usually I like to toss my wrinkled clothes into the dryer for a quick perk me up, but there are some items that you just can't de-wrinkle in the dryer, some wrinkles are too stubborn and some clothing articles are too delicate! I also love My Little Steamer for curtains and other linens. I didn't even have to take my curtains down to un-wrinkle them: AWESOME! I highly recommend Joy Mangano's My Little Steamer - it may be little but it whoops wrinkles flat! Performance It's warm/hot steam so it works VERY fast and doesn't leave your clothes soaked, usually I can wear the item immediately (some harder materials that take longer to unwrinkle require a little dry time, about 10/15 minutes). Safety The steam is very hot (needs to be) but as long as you dont' hold your flesh in front of the steam for more than 5 seconds you'll be fine. This is a lot safer than a hot iron. Ease of Cleaning No real cleaning needed. Just fill the machine and empty the machine - stays pretty clean. Ease of Use You fill up the base of this awesome little machine, and within one minute you've got warm steam! My Little Steamer is not heavy, so your arm won't break trying to do a shirt or pair of pants. Durability I've had my steamer for several years and I don't baby it - it is still in great shape! Design This Joy Mangano hand held steamer has put my new iron into an early retirement! The design is perfect and it also comes in a travel size steamer - although this one is not really big at all!

Works well

I was so sick of lugging out the ironing board everyday to iron my husbands work clothes. I saw this product and immediately I knew I had to buy this. As soon as i got it, i filled it up with water, plugged it in and tried it out. It really did melt away the wrinkles. However, it does get extremely deep set creases. You are better off using a regular pressing iron to get those out. Other than that, it does a great job getting any other kind of wrinkles out. I like how I do not have to set up the ironing board. All i have to do is hang the clothing or hold it while it's on a hanger and run the steamer up and down and the wrinkles melt away. It saves me a lot of time, energy, and SPACE. My ironing board is away in my attic. I am so happy I do not have to deal with it anymore. The color options for the My Little Steamer are very attractive. I love how it comes in a little carry bag, the cord is retractible and it is very lighweight. This simplifies life and my husband also loves to use it- which is a bonus! Performance After 2 years it steams for a 30 seconds, then stops and boils and starts to steam again for 30 seconds, I've quit using it now.

I love My Little Steamer

I am so glad that I bought this steamer! I used to have one of those big, bulky steamers that has it's own hanging rack and rolls around. I used that thing until it died! The big steamers like that, with the big jug to fill and long hose, are not easy to use or clean, and they take a while to heat up. Mine also spit water often. With the Joy Mangano My Little Steamer, I add water, turn it on, and wait about a minute to get steam. Lots of steam. It's easy to use and very portable ( I love the fact that I can take this with me when I travel instead of a travel iron), and makes it easy to steam the wrinkles out of clothes. I hate to iron. In fact, I haven't ironed in years because I prefer a steamer and steamers work so well that an iron isn't needed. UNLESS you want creases - you cannot make creases with a steamer, you have to use an iron. But with my steamer, I can steam multiple pieces wrinkle-free in just a few minutes. I love it!
