I got this unit a few years ago to store all our extra meats in. We live in the country and hunt, so we needed a place for deer, turkey and other meats that we buy in bulk from other farmers. We LOVE the capacity of this unit. You can re-arrange the plastic dividers to make a number of combinations of space sizes for dividing up your groceries. The top plastic racks slide across so it's easy access to things below it. And you only lose a small portion of interior space to the motor. But that gives you a nice shelf only halfway down to the bottom on the side. Inside light is nice when you're reaching for something at night. Temperature Control Keeps things below 0 and we don't even have it cranked more than 60% cold! Capacity You can easily store several deer AND a cut up hog or two in this freezer. We routinely get 150# of pork/year and 60-80# of deer each winter, and we still have room in it for things like turkey and chicken. Ease of Cleaning If you're any shorter than 5'4", you will probably not be able to reach the bottom of the empty freezer to clean it. Design Although the top plastic trays slide to either side for ease of reaching stuff underneath them, you are forced to keep them stored on each side of the chest since the design of the door doesn't allow you to leave them in the middle of the freezer when the unit is closed.
