Only had this 1 year and 2 days now it wont spin out.

We are a 4 person household. I do laundry 1-2 times per week full loads. This washer lacks the capacity to meet my full load. I sometimes have to split a load in two. By far the most annoying aspect of this washer is that it empties the water after about 5 minutes if you forget to close the lid--which has happened a few times now. I go to get an extra towel to add to the load and by the time I come back after kid/husband interruptions the washer is emptying the water it just filled with. Super annoying. It is quiet and the calibration it does at the beginning eliminated the shake/wobble during the spin cycle so that is nice. It does not handle bedding other than sheets. I washed a quilt and it ripped. It is quite aggressive with the agitation cycle. I have to put anything questionably delicate in a garment bag. I have had several pieces of clothing tear that did not tear in my last washer machine. All in all I would pass on this machine if I had to do it over again. I would instead pick a larger capacity model.

This washing machine was in the house we bought and it was newer than the one we currently owned so we left that with the people that took our trailer that being said I wish we would have checked it out before doing so because the old one seemed to get clothes cleaner. This one does the job but I find that normal things that would come out in the wash don't seem to come out. I have more stained clothes now then I ever have in my life and I blame it partly on the machine. It runs pretty quiet, nothing fancy, does the job for the most part so I am satisfied but am currently saving to replace it. Cleaning Time I consider it to be normal cleaning time. Performance Overall it is okay but it doesn't seem to get even the easiest of stains out. Ease of Use Simple, 3 dials, pick the size of the load, water temp and what type of load your doing. Durability We have owned the home for 2 years now and it is still going strong but with no idea when it was purchased I can't really be honest in the durability past the two years.

I hate this washing machine. I love out in the country so if you use a well do not get this machine. The water saver is not a savings. It uses more electricity. I started a wash and went on a errand. Came back 2 hours later and the wash was still not done. It was running my pump the whole time, because the basket still was not filled. I have to turn the cycle to hot water to just fill the basket. I just poured in 22 gals. of water by hand because I need cool water in which it turns off the water going into the basket on cool setting. Ask the salesman how long it takes to get a wash done. If you are busy like me 2 hours is a little to long. A normal wash should be about 20 min. This machine takes about 40.;

The interesting thing about this washer is that there's nothing significant to highlight about it. It's an average top-loading washing machine. We have not had any problems with it whatsoever. It is reliable, and it *rarely *goes off-balance, even with very large loads. I feel comfortable washing sheets and towels together, and I don't feel I have to stay close by to rearrange the load regularly. On the downside, it is a bit loud, and I have not been able to open the agitator to pull out any excess lint, like I have with other washing machines. I don't know if ours is just stuck, or if it does not open at all. When we moved into the house, the previous owners had left a Kenmore washer/dryer set for us. They were less than a year old, and they've worked fine for us so far, so we have no intention of replacing them any time soon. That said, I have my eye on a washer/dryer set that is front loading and uses far less water.

I have a few of these washers in my rental units, they have been reliable for a few years now. They may not be the quietest or use the least amount of water but they have been attractive perks for my tenants. These washers come with a good variety of settings that are suitable for the average person. The sensitive and delicate capabilities are topnotch and the kenmore brand is always reliable. I have received many compliments on these machines and never had any issues with the sears customer service center and will continue to purchase appliances from Kenmore. This washer also has great depth for large blankets and coats. It does vibrate a little more than others, but you need to make sure it's on solid ground, I have used a couple brick blocks to stabilize it from shaking the floors. Definitely a good deal for the price and you won't be disappointed. So either if you're looking for a reliable entry level washer or for rental properties, you can't go wrong for the price of this kenmore washer.

Last year we needed a washing machine really bad after the breakdown of our previous washer of four years.  We wash a lot of clothes and the fact that we don't have a lot of money to spend on a new washer presented us with a real challenge.  So we went to Sears.com online and the decision was pretty easy: we could only afford their cheapest washer, which was the Kenmore 400 top loading washer.  It was as simple as that.  We got the washer 10 months ago and thank goodness the washer is still running, still doing the job we set it out to do which is to take care of our daily washers.  Of course, there's no real bells or whistles but one feature we do particularly appreciate is the "Extra small load" water level.  This feature allows us to wash let's say a few washcloths or a small load of paired socks without using a whole lot of water.  In fact, we like it so much that every washer should have this water level.  I don't know how long this washer will last but we would recommend it to anyone in a similar situation.  Sears is still very dependable.

Kenmore Top-load washer is a keeper. I have had mine for eight years now and it still does the job just as well as the first day.The price was right then and it is worth the money. I am looking forward to many more years of use. It washes clean, and the clothes are dry.The size of the washer is perfect for my regular loads and also works for small loads that my kids sometimes have. it is the perfect deal for someone who doesn,t want to go to the laundromat. It also takes care of my heavy duty washes. my husbands work clothes come out really clean and smell good. i also do my comforters which is a big help for me. So if you are looking for something that works for the whole family and takes care of the everyday necessities, i would suggest you get over to the nearest store and pick up one of these washing machines. You would not regret it. I would recommend this product to anyone because it is the best.

This washing machine was a gift for our family after we had our baby.  We do laundry daily.  This washer may not be the most technological washer out there but it sure does the job.  I personally appreciate the simplicity of the knobs.  There are 3, water level, water temperature, and which cycle you choose (i.e. Delicate, Heavy, Normal).  I am also surprised at the amount of clothes you can wash per load, and still have them come out clean.  It is a small looking machine but holds a good amount of clothing, which reduces the amount of laundry I have to do daily by a significant amount. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I have had to run the spin cycle twice on certain loads to get them ready to dry (towels mainly).  Other than that, it is a very good washer and was a wonderful gift.
