My husband and I had this wall oven installed as part of a kitchen renovation project back in August 2013. We have used it about once a day since then and I have very few complaints about the oven. It comes to temperature quickly and cooks food evenly. The features and buttons are easy to understand and use. It is large enough for everyday use; however, if you are planning to cook a holiday meal, you may have to do some prior planning. We were able to cook and host our family for Easter without much difficulty; however, I harbor no delusions that I could get a turkey in this oven and have room for anything else at all. Thankfully that has not been an issue for us but I can understand how it might be for other users. Otherwise, my only other minor complaint is that it is quite noisy - if you use it at a high heat (over 450 degrees), expect the fan to run for quite a while after its use (at least ten minutes, up to twenty or more) in order for the oven to cool down properly. Again, this is something that is inherent to wall ovens over freestanding ranges so it is not a dealbreaker but merely an annoyance. Capacity Again - wall ovens are by nature smaller than ranges.

The Kenmore Electric Single Oven is an average oven, it reaches to the desirable temperatures that I always set it on and has cooked everything from whole chickens, full whole potatoes and large cakes without any problems. The only little problems I have noticed when using the Kenmore oven was that sometimes when I had turned it on and placed the food inside the oven and check it again in half an hour I noticed that it had switched off so I have to do a guessing game of how long the food actually had been cooked for and start it up again. This has only happened a few times in many years of owning it but I have made it a habit to check during pre-heating times and twenty minutes in the cooking to see if that turning off incident occurs again. So overall, it does the job it's supposed to which is to heat up to the correct temperature evenly and cook, bake, roast, reheat and slow cook all the different meals I want to prepare and the Kenmore brand is one I would look into when replacing this oven later on.

This oven is wonderful. It cooks evenly and have not had trouble with the internal thermometer being off compared to the oven thermometer we have placed on one of the oven racks. The only real problem we've had with this unit is that the hinges for the oven door wear out, FAST. We've only had this oven for eight years, and already had the springs in the hinges replaced. Unfortunately, it seems as though they are going to need to be redone again soon. While the springs wearing out does affect the oven temp slightly (mainly at higher temperatures), it's obvious because the light inside goes on and off even when no one is touching the stove. Otherwise, this oven is great and cleans up super easily. Probably not the best choice for an avid baker, but will do the trick for the normal home cook as long as you don't mind needing to just replace the springs every once and a while.
