Have had this washing machine for approx. 7 years. The machine was working perfectly until the warranty expired, ever since I have had to replace the main computer, the pressure switch hose had worn through, the pressure switch and another computer board. Remember when the old washing machines used to work for 20+ years... well not anymore. Avoid Kenmore at all costs.

We purchased this washer less than 4 years ago and had trouble with it from the beginning almost. We had to call the repair man out twice when the motor seized up on it. We haven't had that issue again but it has been leaking for the past 2 years. On some loads it doesn't leak at all, while other loads it leaks a lot! I mean we have to keep a towel on the ground under the door because it shoots water out. We have made some repairs on it but they never last for than a few weeks. The washer still works and we do gets our clothes clean. It can hold a large load but it leaks a lot! We just keep it on a utility mat and vaccuum the water up every few days but this is a hastle since I use it 2-3 times a day. I know there are some other front loaders that have similiar problems but I am looking forward to purchasing a new set even though this is less than 4 yrs old. I really like a lot of the features and I think I would go with a front load again, but I will be sure to check on the reviews first!

I've had this washer for 5 years.  It handles large loads (very large loads--queen comforter with sheets and towels) very efficiently and quietly.   You do not even know it is running while sitting in the same room!  Its a great machine.  However after 4 years the front rubber seal came off.  It's not easy to put back on but there is a specific method to do it.  But once the seal came off, and reinstalled, the washer got the mildew oder so many people complain about with front load washers.  I tried everything, redried the seal, wiped the washer out after loads used the tabs sold in stores to get rid of the smell.  Nothing worked.   Now I never had this smell until the seal dislodged.  I guess if your seal comes off it would be advised to have sears come out and reinstall it instead of doing it yourself.  Because so many other front load washer users complain of the mildew smell, I probably would not buy a front loader washer again.  But being able to do those huge loads was a real time saver.  So probably would do some more research to see if it is still a problem in the newer modles. This washer is one of the best when it comes to washing clothes well, as well as different types of clothes. I mean, I once put a delicate care item in the washer here, and it handled it well. No signs that it was torn up , wrecked, or even mashed up in some way. It went in, got washed nicely, and came out in one shape. (The item was a long sleeved shirt.) Another plus that I like in this washer is that it has good storage when it comes to getting extra laundry detergent as well as fabric softener. I had about 6 containers of each and both of the drawers had enough room for them both with enough room to spare if i got one more of each. Likewise, the cleaning of the washer is a breeze. I have washed the washer with washer cleaner powder as well as bleach when I have had to, and there has been no residue left behind from both cleanings. Accordingly, I have both cleaned out the filter, as well as the drain hose, and neither have shown that there was damage with either, and both are still working fine. When my mother and I were looking at Washers, we were not considering an HE washer, But this one has gotten us to like such items, and its lower use of water is not bad either. Which is fine considering the lower water bill we have now. It was very easy for the installation which was both easy and fast. I mean, we had a gentleman come , he got the line ready, hooked it up , and it was washing clothes within a few minutes. Talk about Fast! When my mother got this washer, she has a great warranty on it, which is great as we do not have problems with it yet. But it is good in case there are problems. For anyone who is looking for a good washer, I would recommend you diving this a fine look over. It may help you with washing everything, and more. (Even blankets.) We just got this wahing machine in December and I am so pleased. We had a lot of trouble with our last Kenmore front loader but the water pump issues we had have been resolved in the newer models. They now have a filter system that that the customer can clean out that keeps things from getting into the pump and breaking it. I love the steam option on this washer. Sometimes my husband wears his dress clothes for only a few hours and I can refresh them and hang them up without wearing them out as fast. My only complaint would be that some of the wash cycles are long but the results have been worth it so far. I absolutely love the sanitize option for towels and bedding, very much needed with my allergic family.

With the Kenmore Front Load Washer my laundry time is cut in half !! I love the fact that it holds California King blankets and comforters with no problem ! From the smallest to the largest load it leaves our laundry clean !! Very easy to use ! Grandson can use it!!!!!!!!

The **Kenmore (47571) Front Load Washer is a very good maching but take away some of the control I want.  I would like mre options on the timer as for wahing the cloths.  We have tried several different types of 'he; detergents but sometimes get a musty smell in the cloths.  This usually ocurs if we have not used it for a couple of days and we closed the door; however, if we leave the dor ajar it seems to help remove the musty smell the next time we wash cloths.**
