The best canister vacuum I ever owned.

This bagged canister vacuum from kenmore truly is magic. I have no problem using this vacuum for any of my cleaning needs. I would have to say the things i like most about this vacuum is it is compact, it is bagged, and the power switch is right on the handle where you put your hand for easy access. The bags for this vacuum are actually pretty cheap and the last longer than you would think. It is compact with a small cleaner head so you can get into and store it in tigh places unlike other vacuum cleaners that are made for daily vacuuming. It is also relatively quiet so it should be no problem running it when other people in your home are watching tv or sleeping. This vacuum also has five different speed setting which are controlled with the power switch so you can clean anything anywhere. Maneuverability I love the fact that unlike other canister vacuums this one does not get stuck on bumps it just goes right over them, and unlike other canisters it does not run into corners or walls it goes around them and furniture with ease. Ease of Maintenance There is only one step to maintaining this vacuum and that is when the bag check indicator shows red change the bag and get back to cleaning. The good think about the bag is no massy filters and when you empty the vacuum all the dust stays contained in the bag and does not escape back into the air. Suction Performance It has about twice the suction of any dyson. Versatility This vacuum can clean anything anywhere this makes it a wonderful vacuum when it come to versitility and above floor or stair cleaning. Durability It would take a bull doesn't to break this monster.

Kenmore Magic Blue is a small compact easy to use vacuum .

The  Kenmore Magic Blue vacuum is great on carpets and on solid floors. It has a power brush for carpets and another for bare floors, plus a crevice and small brush tool for small areas and furniture. The wand extends with little effort to about 4 ft in length. The bags are easily changable, and there is an indicator for when they are full. For the price it is one great machine.

Light, powerful, reasonably priced: what more can you want?

The Kenmore Magic Blue vacuum is an amazing little guy. I bought this vacuum 2 years ago. I have owned some top of the line canister vacuums including an Oreck and a Miele, but my budget was a bit tight so I chose the Kenmore Magic Blue. It surpassed all my expectations. In truth, I like it as well, if not better, then those far more expensive brands. Positives: It is a very reasonably priced, small canister vacuum. It is light and easy to use, but it has plenty of power. My favorite feature is the power slide on the handle. You can turn the vacuum on or off without bending down to the canister. This is particularly helpful when you are up on a latter doing drapes or a ceiling fan. The bags are easy to change. The hard floor and carpet attachments are great. The extendable handle is easy to use. Negatives: The crevice tool/dusting brush isn't fantastic, and the power cord could be a little longer. Also, the button you have to press in to change the attachments is small and stiff; it makes changing attachments a bit more trouble than I would like. All in all it is a fantastic vacuum for the price (indeed, better then many 3-5 times as expensive)

Great for hardwood floors!

I've really liked this vacuum, when I lived in place that mainly had hardwood floors. The powerhead never really worked on the large area rug, but I just thought the rug was old and never going to come clean anyway. I was wrong. We moved to a fully carpeted apartment and got a dog. This powerhead doesn't even touch the dog hair! Frustrating. Plus, the bags were really hard to find. Until I find a better one, I'm putting off vacuuming at all. Yuck.

Kenmore Vacuums are what I use!

I have, for many years, used Kenmore canister vacuums.  So, when I needed to buy one for a college student living in a small apartment, I found this Kenmore vacuum - small, lightweight, cheaper than a bigger-sized vacuum - perfect!  And overall, we've been very satisfied with the choice. The advantages of this vacuum outweigh any disadvantages, in my opinion.  The vacuum is small and easy to carry, has the changeable bag system, all necessary attachments that adjust easily, and does a decent job of sweeping.  This vacuum is perfect for smaller places, or as an "extra" vacuum in a household. The only disadvantage I've found with this vacuum is that it is not a "deep cleaning" vacuum. It's not that it doesn't do a decent job, but I have a bigger Kenmore canister vacuum, and can really tell the difference in the two.  But for a single person, or as a spare vacuum, this smaller Kenmore will do a good job, and at a lower price as well.

magic blue is great for the price

Love this vacuum.  It is great for the price.  Only a few cons; the cord is kind of short--I improvise and use an extention cord. The attachments have to be put on the wand -can't be put right on the handle.

The hardest working vacuum out there

** *I really like the adjustable wand on the Magic Blue vaccuum.  My husband, almost six feet tall can comfortably use the wand, yet so can my young children because the wand extends and retracts to accomodate a wide variety of user heights.  Great for encouraging others to use the vaccuum besides mom which is a huge plus!  And because it is a canister vaccuum on wheels it is light enough for the children to easily manuver.* *The disposable bag in the Magic Blue is small yet I don't need to change it often due to only using it on hard floors.  I'm not regularly picking up carpet lint which would more quickly fill the bag.* *The Magic Blue power cord is retractable which is handy for storage and makes putting it away quicker and easier than having to wind it around the machine.  I wish the cord were longer though, but that could easily be resolved by using an extension cord.* *The main feature that I have loved yet had a problem with is the swiveling head attachment for hard floors.  It helps the vaccuum glide over the floor so easily.  It quickly pivots and turns where you want it to go with little or no effort.  However, it did break after about a year of use.  I was able to temporarily use the head by taping it to the extension wand before I purchased a replacement head.  I haven't had any problems with the replacement head so maybe the first one was defective in some way.*

The Magic Blue vaccuum is great for hard floors

I purchased a Kenmore Magic Blue vaccuum after we removed the carpet from several rooms in our house and installed hardwood floors.  I have only used it on wood floors, not on carpeting. I really like the adjustable wand on the Magic Blue vaccuum.  My husband, almost six feet tall can comfortably use the wand, yet so can my young children because the wand extends and retracts to accomodate a wide variety of user heights.  Great for encouraging others to use the vaccuum besides mom which is a huge plus!  And because it is a canister vaccuum on wheels it is light enough for the children to easily manuver. The disposable bag in the Magic Blue is small yet I don't need to change it often due to only using it on hard floors.  I'm not regularly picking up carpet lint which would more quickly fill the bag. The Magic Blue power cord is retractable which is handy for storage and makes putting it away quicker and easier than having to wind it around the machine.  I wish the cord were longer though, but that could easily be resolved by using an extension cord. If I hadn't had to replace the hard floor attachment I would have given the Magic Blue vaccuum a four star rating.  It doesn't seem like a good vaccuum to use on carpeting but it does come with a beater style attachment for use on carpeted areas.  We still use our Magic Blue and I would recommend it for hard floor usage.

Thank you Magic Blue!

I recently purchased the Kenmore Magic Blue vaccuum and must say I am very impressed.  I am a bargain shopper and this is the only vaccuum I have been able to find that is inexpensive and works great. It rolls around effortlessly, I can stand up straight and use it, the suction is great, I love the retractable cord and my cat doesn't freak out when I turn it on (not too noisy).  I definately recomend this product!!

this vacuum is a winer

I originally purchased the bag less yellow vacuum and was not happy with its performance or duration between having to empty it . I returned it and payed the difference for this blue magic . I had a Kenmore canister vacuum before a mid 1990's model . This one is worlds different . The suction is good and it is suppressing quiet . We have a Dyson upright (the smaller one )and find that the on board hose just can'd get into the areas that a canister can . We have been very pleased with this vacuum and believe it's is a great value . Because it has a vacuum brush its perfect as the main vacuum for apartments and dorm's .
