This deep fryer is digital and is so easy to use. It lets you know when the oil is hot enough and even has a timer built in. It has a grease vent on the top that is permanent but is removable to clean. There are two baskets, one small and one big, that hook togetheron the handles and there is a hook on the inside of the removable pan that holds the oil that you can hook the basket on to let it drain. There are handles on each side that stay cool and the cord is not long and has the magnetic part that attaches to the appliance so if there's a problem, it's easily detachable. This is just a great deep fryer! Ease of Cleaning A little cumbersome when you drain all the oil to clean the bottom of the tub, but nothing major

WOW!  This is an awesome deep fryer!  We recently remodeled our kitchen so my husband decided to buy me some new appliances to go with our new kitchen and this Kenmore Deep Fryer was one of his best purchases!  It has both a small and a large basket for different size fry needs, it has an LCD control panel, a removable enamel pan that holds the oil/grease, cool to the touch side handles,  a magnetic cord assembly, cover vents with a one ply grease filter and the base fryer is substantially deep!  When the oil reaches the correct, preheated temperature it emits a series of 5 beeps so you know it is ready to begin frying.  The built in timer has a range of 1 to 30 minutes and if addiotnal time is necessary (which will seldom to never happen) all you have to do is reset the timer to the additional time you wish.  The instruction booklet gives you a pretty substantial frying timetable that gives suggested frying temperature and times to go by, but as in all circumstances, these are merely suggestions and in no way set in stone!  Pretty much everything is dishwasher safe or immersible except for the control assembly.  The grease filter never needs replacing, you just  wash it in hot soapy water or dishwasher, rinse well then replace in the fryer. All in all, if you are looking for a great, easy to use deep fryer for home use, this is the one for you!  (Reasonably priced too!)
