Wished I had it sooner.

THis is an amazing machine and can do so many things. I have chopped vegetables and nuts, sliced potatoes, and everything in between. If you have problems cutting with knives or using your hands like I do this is a must buy!! I received this as a gift. Of course, it was at the top of my list! :) I have used it now for three years and it is still running strong. Does a great job with peppers, onions, pecans, etc. I have to mince them well to get my family to eat them. So I run it till the stuff is incredibly small and put it in my recipes. My family is eating healthier and they don't even know it!!! It also does a great job slicing potatoes. I think my favorite thing to do with it--is use it to make my pie crust. It makes it a breeze and is so much better than a pastry cutter or two knives! Power Definitely has all the power it needs. Safety Safety features on this product are great--they must be because I am a klutz and have never hurt myself! :) Ease of Assembly Super easy to take apart and put back together--couldn't be easier. Ease of Cleaning Just take apart wash-put back together--no problem. Durability Still going strong-have had it for years. It stays out and gets LOTS of use.. no getting put away in the cupboard for this appliance.

The Kitchenaid Mini Chopper is a help, but doesn't do big jobs

3

I have the KitchenAid Mini Chopper Food Processor model KFC 3300. In fact this is my second kitchenaid chopper. They work really well for small chopping tasks, especially for those recipes that call for a small amount of something soft to be chopped small. Although it's a great help with mundane chopping tasks, it's really not quite fair to call it a food processor, though, because it doesn't do well at all with more difficult foods (ie raw carrots), it takes forever to chop large quantities (ie pesto), and it tends to overheat when used for a longer period of time. It is also a huge hassle to clean, which makes it kind of not useful for when you need to chop multiple kinds of foods in one recipe (ie salsa). I also have not had success with using it with wet foods, because it seems to leak at the joint between the har and the lid. On the plus side, though, it is inexpensive and very small, so it doesn't take up much space on the counter or in the cabinet.

KitchenAid 3 cup food processor

3

A food processor seems to be something that every kitchen should have. Given the fact that I have a lot of small appliances around the house, I didn't want a very large food processor. I just wanted something that I could use for small jobs. Kitchen Aid is a great company. They build heavy duty equipment that will last years. Their stand mixers are a must-have for everyone, and their other products have been pretty good as well. However, this food processor has not worked out well for me. Most of the time, the food will not get properly processed. It doesn't matter what I'm trying to put through it, or how much or little I put in, the blades always seem to miss the food. I've had some better luck with the upper, smaller section that can be added in, but for the most part, I have wound up finding other ways of doing the work that I would love this food processor to do.

The KitchenAid Mini Chopper is just wonderful!

This mini chopper by KitchenAid is the absolute best! I am just starting to learn how to cook and this has been such a help to me. I had originally wanted to buy a full size food processor but the cost prevented it. My concerns with purchasing this machine instead were its small size and the fact that its only setting is pulse. I shouldn't have worried at all. It holds more than I thought it would and it has worked perfectly for all that I've tried so far, including basil, nuts, garlic, and more. I use it almost every day and its smaller size has turned out to be a definite bonus as it means I can leave it out on the countertop, which is very convenient. It is very easy to clean by hand but I have run the bowl and lid through the dishwasher without issue as well. I've been very pleased with every KitchenAid item that I've owned, but especially this machine. Even my friend who owns a full size processor commented on how she would love to have one like this!

Great kitchen gadget to have

4

For many many years I lived in a cave, well not actually, but when it came to owning a food processor I was still living in the stoneage. I chopped, mashed, sliced and whisked everything by hand. I finally had an epiphany that it would probably be easier with a food processor. So I purchase the KitchenAid Mini Chopper and have never looked back. This unit is great. It chops and purees like a pro. I have done pestos, salsas, breadcrumbs, ham, egg salad, dressings, scrambled eggs (Yes, it blends them perfectly), hummus and more. It truly is a fast and heavy duty machine. The only set backs I can say are the bowl is small and doesn't hold much, so if you need something to do, say a dinner party, then you are going to be standing there chopping awhile because you can only load it so much. Also the lid did seem to leak about bit, but I am pretty sure all machines would if liquids are able to rise above the rim. I just put a kitchen towel over mine when doing liquids. Also, I wish it came with slicing disks and other accessories. Other than that I love it and it says on my counter 24/7. It is easy to operate, not to noisy and the clean up is easy.

Wouldn't chop without it!

The perfect little chopper. I use it all the time. I am always afraid I will overwork it and wear it out during the holidays, but I haven't yet! I have not found anything that I can't chop with it, from onions, to chocolate; even ice! Kitchenaid appliances are the only thing I have ever put on my wish list for birthdays and holidays.

The perfect kitchen helper

This little chopper has been a HUGE help in the kitchen. It's almost as though all the prep of getting ready to cook,  has already been done for me and all I have to do is get down to cooking! Absolutely love it.

KitchenAid Processor stands up to my abuse!

4

I puree a lot of fruits & vegetables, to use in baking & other recipes, because my family doesn't particularly like the tastes of them on their own. I orginally had owned some larger, albeit lesser quality processors to handle the amount of pureeing I do on a weekly basis, that is one at a time. I burned out the motors on 3 food processors in 1 year, and decided that I was tired of having to go out and buy them. Even though these "disposable" food processors were relatively inexpensive, I got so tired of going out to buy them a few times a year. I did some research & spoke to some family members & decided that KitchenAid was the way to go. I've had my 3 cup food processor for a little over 2 years now and have been impressed with it so far. It can handle all of the abuse I give it. It doesn't overheat, stop in the middle of a job, it cleans up very easily and takes up less space on my counter than my coffee maker does. Simply put, I can't get through a week without it. I use mine roughly 6 days a week, one of those days it's in use for about 3-4 hours in a day, so I can honestly say that it is 100% worth every penny. KitchenAid is a company that makes excellent quality products that you can count on every time you use them. I like that this food processor even comes with a "small job" bowl & blade that attatches on top of the original blade housing for "extra small" jobs. I have put vegetables, meat, fruit, nuts, and even hard spices like ginger in my food processor. I put steamed, raw and even frozem fruits & vegetables in to the machine, and it handles all with ease. It's a simple machine to use only having 3 buttons, on, off and pulse. It's also a safe machine, if you don't have the lid on the bow correctly, it won't lock into place and you won't be able to turn it on.   I was originally swayed a bit by the amount of money that KitchenAid products cost, but after having had this little gem in my kitchen for 2 years, I am convinced that I paid for an enormous quality and reliability in a product that I'll be using for years to come. I'm currently looking into purchasing a KitchenAid stand mixer, and dishwasher. I do like to save money when at all possible, being a stay at home mom in a family with a single income,  but I am also a firm believer that you get what you pay for. I wanted a quality product from a reliable company and that's exactly what I got with my KitchenAid food processor.

Love this KitchenAid mini-chopper!

5

I recieved this mini-chopper as a Christmas gift a couple of years ago. I wasn't very excited at first, but then when I used it, I immediately fell in love!  This little gadget purees anything and everything, and chops really well too.  I used it to make all of my son's babyfood and never once had a problem.  I often use it to puree green chili's and to make cracker and bread crumbs for cooking.  This made me want a full-sized food processor soo bad, but now that I have one, I would say that unless you are going to use the shredding and slicing disks of a larger food processor, you are better off just sticking with this mini-chopper.  It does everything the large one can do, and in most cases, does a better job of it.  It's kind of expensive for the size of the bowl, but well worth it.  If mine goes out, I'm going to have to buy another one.  The best gift I've ever recieved! I will purchase one for my friend this year.

A Great Chopper/Processor!

5

For years I used a tiny, one cup processor when I got out on my own. Finally one year I wised up and asked for a larger one. Although this one is only three-cups, it works extremely well and I have immensely enjoyed using it. There are times when I have needed a larger food processor, but generally speaking, this one has done the trick for most all of my needs. I am, however, single and don't often prepare meals for large groups of people. I most often use mine to chop onion, cabbage and carrots for the coleslaw that my family and friends can't seem to live without in the summer and it really does a fantastic job with all three of those. I've also used it to crumble up cookies for pie crusts and other items depending on my needs. I have never had a problem out of this chopper. It does the trick every time and I am often amazed and just how many things I can cram inside before turning it on to chop. I would recommend this product to anyone who loves to cook, especially someone just starting out who maybe hasn't had much experience with a food processor before. A great product indeed!
