I bought this to replace a wall air conditioner.Not as big as my last one but was on sale because of end of summer.The room as its in gets cold.And does a decent job with others.I use it for multi rooms not just one.Not to loud.Heavier than expected but easy to install.Cut my electric bill down too.

first of all i live in the gulf area more than twelve years ago , this area is very hot , temperature may reach fifty degrees , so , hear we leave in air conditioners every where , we move from one place with air conditioner to another place with air conditioner , air conditiones are a life saving aid here we can not live without it , its in our homes , work , cars and shopping moles , i almost tried all the air conditioner brands in this twelve years , now i have about four or five air conditioner brands split type and window type , this LG 12,000 BTU Air Conditioner is one of my Air Conditioneres , lets talk about this amazing Air Conditioner , befor i talk about the advantages of this air conditioner i will till you only one dis advantages , which is its sound littel loude , and you would find that disadvantage in all the window type brands , but compared to the other brands i tried before the sound is accepted and you will get used to it by time , split tye air conditioners are much bitter in this more quite than window type , lets now take about the advantages of this air conditioner , first of all it cooles the whole room , much better and stronger than the split type , it have a very accurate temperature controle , even air distribution , you can use it in any room , bed rooms and small roomes , for the window installation , here in my country , all the flates have a ready orifice for the air conditioner , so its very easy window installatin for me , just need a help from one person to raise it up with me to the desired orrifice , but if you dont have a designed area for the window air conditioner , you may need a specialist to install it , at the end yes , i would recommend this LG 12,000 BTU Air Conditioner to all people .

It was one of the hottest days of the year when my Frididaire A/C made a few clicking noises, stopped pumoing out cold air and started leaking fluid on the floor. I was taken back, could this really be happening, not today, any other day but today. I live in an apartment so I immediately contacted my landlord, I cranked up every fan I had and i waited. Since my A/C was in the living room my bedroom had gotten too hot to stay in and I ended up sleeping on the couch, i swear i drank a gallon of water that night. early the next morning ym landlord arrived with a box, he had bought me a new air conditioner, i thought he was going to fix the old one, but being the amazing guy that he is he bought me a new one. This day was another one of the hottest days of the year, and he didnt blink an eye he took out the old one, and instaled the new one just as the heat of the day peaked. once the new LG was in we turned it on and withing an hour my entire apartment was cool as could be, soo refreshing and comfortable. Best A/C ever. I also love the remote that it comes with so I can control the 4 settigns with 3 fans speeds from the other room if i want. It is also a smaller unit with big a/c power, it does not jut into the roomk its not obtrusive or ugly, its great in every way!!

We have bought two of these units over the years. One broke down shortly before the warranty period ended. While it was under warranty, ever try getting service under an LG warranty? Finding a service dealer was hard enough. And if you live in rural America, as did we, you will find their service network lacking. Of course, in all fairness this may be the case with any appliance manufacturer. The second unit we bought lasted a couple of years past the 5-year warranty period, but when it gave up the ghost, it was with a "take-no-prisoners" attitude. It was gone in the blink of an eye. Oh, there were subtle warnings that it was breathing its last, but nothing certain until one day it just didn't work. Would we buy another LG? Possilbly, but only if we got a great deal on one. And they are not the quietest a/c units I have ever had

TLG 12,000 BTU Air Conditioner Works Incredibly Well! I love it. In fact, our entire household does. We were so miserable with our old air conditioner. After we got this one, it didn't take long for it to impress us. It works very well, keeping out room just the right temperature at all times. It was so nice. It was even nicer when we got out electric bill. Our bill increased as to be expected, but honestly, not enough that we have been used to with our previous unit. Love, love, love it. We are going to get another one to put in an office we have adjoining the carport. We just had it built, so we know we need the best one out there. I didn't know that LG made air conditioners, but they make almost everything now. And, they are good at what they do. This unit attests to that. Or, shoulod I say that *I* attest to that! LOL. I don't think you will go0 wrong in getting this unit. Recommending this at five stars, the highest rating I can give.

I live in an older house that has a converted attic space. Naturally, it gets really cold in the winter and extremely hot in the summer. My old air unit just kicked the bucket and I decided to go with this new LG 12,000 BTU Air Conditioner for my attic space. I'm so glad that I purchased this unit. I picked LG because I've got a lot of LG products and they all work flawlessly. This unit is a great size and cools my entire upstairs attic within 20 min's on a 90 degree day! It also comes with a handy remote control (although I would not use the batteries that come with the remote because they aren't any good). The unit is so powerful and yet you can't hardly even hear it run on the highest level. There are 3 speeds to this unit and I keep mine on low with no issues. I like that it has an energy saving button and it will cycle on and off as the temp regulates in the room. My boyfriend noticed that when he was installing the unit it is very nicely made. My old unit was all one piece and it would get leaves stuck inside of it and you couldn't clean them out. This ends up making the unit stink when its turned on because they leaves get wet. The nice thing about this LG is that the outside case is separate from the inner unit. So, if you want to clean the unit out at any point later on then you can simply leave the outer shell still attached in the window and the inside will actually pull out for cleaning. Its really a great unit and very worth the money!

The LG 12,000 BTU Air Conditioner is a great unit overall. It was priced resonablity considering its size versus the smaller BTU AC's that will barely cool a closet. While we do have central ac in our house, it is not enough to cool the "add on" room which is approx. 18x18 sqft. So we added a window unit to cool the extra room which works great, expecially in the heat of the summer. I love the digital controls and remote with makes it easy to turn on and lower the temperature with out having to go to the window air conditioner to do it. This unit worked so go, I decided to put on in my rental townhome upstairs ofcourse it was a smaller unit since the room was smaller in size. I would definatley make sure though that you get the right BTU's for your room so your not using more energy than needed. Overall I am very satisfied with this unit it is just right the only reason i didn't give it five stars is the filter seems a little flimsy compaired to the whirlpool one i use to have.

We purchased this a/c unit summer 2010 due to the failure of our central heat/air unit.    I was looking for a unit that would plug into a standard wall outlet, not requiring the larger outlet.  We found this one at an excellent price and purchased it without knowing anything about LG's a/c products.  It has a remote control that i have never used.  The digital readout is nice, easy to see, but I wonder if it's true to the room temperature sometimes.  I use it's comfort level to judge adjusting the temperature.  This little machine will freeze you out!  We also purchased  GE model for the kitchen window.  It does not put out near the cold air that the LG does.  I will probably switch them 2011 season if I don't have the central unit up yet (compressor is bad).    My home is all electric.  My bill did not go up any higher than usual, which for 2 window units, ceiling fans, and fans to move the air around, I was VERY impressed.  Quiet enough for me, thermostat works well on it, and you can play freeze-out with the kids.  Great purchase I will keep!

LG's 12,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner is absolutely fantastic. We live in Hot, Humid, Southern Texas and have two of these window units in our home. One we have had for several years and one is new this season and we don't know how we did without them. They have easy to clean filters that help keep the unit working properly so that it does not clog the fins on the air conditioner unit. The remote makes it easy to mount it anywhere and to be able to control it without problems. The energy saver setting lets you set the thermostat for a certain temperature and when it reaches that point it cycles off and just checks the room temp every so often until it is needed to cycle on again. The in home service warranty is great so that once you install it in the window you do not have to uninstall it if you have any service issues. LG has a quality air conditioner and we would gladly recommend them to anyone.
