With the endless problems and 4 repair calls I have had with this refrigerator, I will not purchase another LG refrigerator, nor will I recommend one to anybody ever. I have never seen such a non-durable refrigerator. It may look nice, and seem functional, but there are so many problems with this unit that make it undesirable. Noise Level Condenser, fan and especially the water and ice dispenser are extremely loud. Interior Organization The only place where this refrigerator shines. Temperature Control Individual temperature controls for freezer and refrigerator. Ease of Cleaning Difficult to remove shelves and drawers. Difficult to clean the glass to plastic edge. Durability Light in the freezer won't come on. The light stays on sometimes in the refrigerator area after the door is closed, and is extremely hot. I have had the circuit board replaced twice, and it still happens. The rear exterior water line connection has broken twice, causing damage to the floor and basement. Every shelf and drawer is broken or damaged in some way, and we are not careless with things. Design Design is functional. I wish the water filter housing was smaller; it is hard to fit items under it. The shelves and drawers are made out of cheap plastic and break easily.

For sixteen years my household had one of those old model white Westinghouse 500 litres fridge until it stopped running. At that time we were renovating the kitchen so we took it as a sign that it was meant to be and now own the LG French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator which matches the new kitchen décor. I love the French door aspect of the fridge and that so much food can fit in there and that our fridge makes ice!! Forget using ice trays to make our own ice and we never even attempted making our own ice and now our fridge makes it regularly by altering the settings to how frequent you want it to make them. It alerts you if you had the door open for too long or if you hadn't shut the doors completely which surprisingly has happened a few times by mistake. With the other fridge we had no idea if it wasn't shut completely until you had to get something out of the fridge which by then the damage was done, wasteful on energy and harmful for the food items. The freezer part of the LG fridge is on the bottom which is great because it's a large sliding out tray, you can place your meats and frozen foods in there all in plain sight without worrying about food freezing in the back or being forgotten that it was stored in there. I recall with the Westinghouse fridge my mum would have to take everything out just to get at the meat at the far back of the fridge and some things would fall out and the ice cream tubs wouldn't always be standing up right. But with the tray feature in the LG fridge everything is stored securely in the tray. I will definitely be buying myself a French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator and LG is a high quality brand so I will most likely be looking to purchase a LG fridge in the future.

The unit is great! It keeps my food at the proper temperature and the water dispenser works great for larger bottles/glasses. Interior Organization The shelves can be easily adjusted to make room for larger items. i.e. milk, 2 liters, and wine. The extra drawer in the freezer makes organization a breeze!

Noise Level I hear no noise from the refrigerator except the dinging if the door is left open. Interior Organization I like that I can rearrange the shelves to suit my needs. Temperature Control The temperature control is fine. I have not had any problems with it. Ease of Cleaning I like that I can take out the shelves and drawers to clean them. However, It is very hard to clean under the fruit and veggie drawers. Durability We have had our refrigerator a little over a year. My daughter went to open the meat and cheese drawer and the front of the plastic drawer broke right off! Also, the butter compartment closure is cracked. Design The ice and water dispencer is too short. We have to use a funnel to put water or ice into tall glasses and our water bottles. I do like that the freezer is on the bottom, and has two inner drawers where I am able to put things.

I would NOT reccomend purchasing this product. It looks pretty and has some nice features but does not stand up to daily, careful use. The drawers and shelf clips break and the bottom of the main compartment has cracked. The customer service at LG is horrendous. I had also purchased an LG dishwasher that had a minor issue and it took over a month to get a service manager to return my phone call. Interior Organization Shelves slide out and can be arranged to fit your needs but they are of poor quality. The clips that hold the drawers break off easily, rendering them near useless. Temperature Control Slide a carton of a dozen eggs in front to back and the eggs in the back will freeze. I have adjusted the temperature controls in an effort to correct this but the temperature in the rear of the unit is substantially colder than in the front, closer to the doors. Durability Shelf and drawer components are all plastic and not of a sturdy quality; clips break off and drawers drop, rendering them near useless.

We've had this fridge for over five years with no major problems. Both the meat keeper drawer and the veggie drawer glides broke but were quickly, easily and economically repaired with parts from LG. It does get heavy duty in our house! Noise Level Very quiet Interior Organization The shelves are adjustable and easy to clean, door storage is ample Temperature Control Very easy to program and change Ease of Cleaning very easy to clean with just soapy water. Drawers slide out and have spill guard to contain any spills Durability As I mentioned the slides on the drawers have been replaced and we've had an issue with the light staying on. (removed light, pending repair) but overall, it's withstood our heavy use! Design LG has continued to improve with new models, increasing the size of the exterior water area for taller containers and adding a third compartment. I love my current fridge but would like some of the updated features

The unit is nice but it has some issues Noise Level Sound level is great on this unit, very quiet . Interior Organization The interior could be a little better on the lay out, all the shelves move but the placement of where some of them need to remain it inside make it hard to fit larger items. The produce storage drawers are flimsy and on has broken. Temperature Control The unit is very easy to adjust for the touch screen controls. I can tell you that we have had issues with the temperature in the storage drawers. The drawers are located directly above the freezer and items do freeze easy . This issue causing things to go bad and wasted money on items that are no longer usable. Ease of Cleaning The unit cleans up well and finger prints are easy to remove from the stainless. Durability Overall a great unit for the price i paid for it , but i also got it as a floor model from one of the big home improvement stores. If i had paid full price for this unit i would not recommend it to anyone else. Design Nice design a few flaws, the water dispenser on the door does not allow tall glasses to be placed under it. The ice maker leaks into the refrigerator and on the floor if the power switch is hit by accident. The switch is located right where you would reach into the ice bin if you were to get ice manually. Some of the interior parts are cheaply made and break easy.
