I replaced a 15 year old side by side refrigerator with this LG. The salesman convinced me the LG was the most popular model in Europe and had been for years before it was finally brought to the United States. He said it was the most advanced model on the market. The price was in our range so we switched from our first choice of an GE to an LG. Within a few months we had problems with the icemaker but since it was under warranty we were not too concerned. From there on in we had one issue after another. Thankfully we had purchased the extended warranty. Still the repairs became burdonsome and we grew tired of having to call in for another repairman to come out. We had different repair people tell us completely different things were wrong but nothing seemed to fix all the problems. The worst was when the 2nd icemaker broke and the refrigerator began making loud sounds like an airplane trying to take off.The noise was unbearable and the repairman actually told us the fix was to put aluminum foil around the coils to the icemaker, which he did. Within 1 day the gaskets on the freezer side began to melt and I mean literally melt. We took pictures and filed a complaint but it was time consuming and we could not live any longer with the noise and turned off the refrigerator fearing a fire. We finally just gave up and replaced it with our original choice.

I absolutely love our LG refrigerator! The style and design of the refrigerator match wonderfully in our kitchen and the titanium finish shows less finger prints than stainless steel. Overall, the unit is completely silent. The only noise heard is when the water for the ice maker kicks on and even that is fairly quiet. This unit has some pretty cool options as well. There is a crisper with a digital readout that allows you to change the temperature for just that area (great for keeping veggies and fruits longer!) as well as a manual humidity control. The freezer contains a great quick freeze feature for when you need to cool something down quickly. I've used this for custom ice trays and been amazed at how well it works. Overall, this unit is amazing and I highly recommend it! Noise Level Other than the water line, this unit makes no noise at all! Interior Organization Trays can be adjusted and there is plenty of room.

This refrigerator is easy to keep clean with the easy to remove glass shelves. The water/ice dispenser has several settings. The bright light makes it easy to see what is being stored. The freezer width is small, so not many items can be stored on each shelf. The door pockets are very small, so only small packages can be kept in the door space. The refrigerator light is just where the milk is kept, so light is always getting to the milk (which should be kept in a darker area).

For the price it is very spacious and has been working well. I like the size of the shelves, and really appreciate the ledge on the covered butter holder on the door. The butter won't fly out when the refrigerator is opened suddenly Noise Level The only sound I sometimes hear is the ice dropping. I do appreciate the light bell that will beep if the door is left open too long, this helps with my teenagers and prevents energy loss. Interior Organization I do like having the three drawers and the spill proof shelves. Temperature Control Not as easy to control as some models, but this would be a good feature with a family with young children who might change the temperature while playing. Ease of Cleaning Inside wipes clean and has the spill proof shelving. The exterior white clean with simple glass cleaner. Design I like the sleek look and the way the handles blend into the front. The only complaint would be the lighting. I wish it was stronger. It is in the back of the model and food and tall items blocks it.

This refrigerator has tons of space to store everything. Moveable shelves and door shelves make it easy to story any container. Noise Level It is so quiet that you don't even know it's running. Temperature Control Temperature control is easy and at the push of a button on the outside of the freezer door. Ease of Cleaning It is so easy clean with the removable shelves.

This refrigerator is fantastic! The purple led lighting inside is beautiful, the ice-maker is quiet and doesn't make a mess and everything is organized. Love our new refrigerator!! The only thing I might change about it the placement of the lighting. It's in the back of the fridge which makes it hard to see when the refrigerator is full. Noise Level The icemaker can be loud when dispensing from the unit and there is a small audible clunk when it disengages, but it's the quietest refrigerator I've ever heard. I can't even tell it's running Interior Organization I would like more light from the front area of the refrigerator, it's hard to see when the refrigerator is totally full, but that's easily fixed by keeping the bigger more view obstructing things in the doors. Ease of Cleaning Every single tray and drawer slides out and is dishwasher safe. The shelves also hold spills if you make them so it doesn't run all over the entire refrigerator.

We really anted a french door fridge but couldn't afford one. However, I am still very satisfied with this side-by-side. I love how it has an alarm that tells you when the fridge or freezer has been open for too long. There have been times that I have accidentally left the door wide open and it beeps to let me know i have to shut it. It's really nice when the door looks closed too but hasn't actually closed tightly. One of the things that my husband loves about it is that you can fit a pitcher underneath the water dispenser. He loves to make Kool-Aid and it's nice that the whole pitcher will fit underneath. As far as space, the freezer fills up fast, but I think the fridge has enough space to fit all of the things we need. Stainless is a little harder to keep clean, but you can buy spray that is designed especially for stainless steel and it works great. I use it once a week to keep the fingerprints and smudges away. I would recommend this fridge to others.

We have had this fridge for about 2 years and haven't had any issues with it. It cools very evenly. It's spacious enough for our family of five. Since we have small kids we enjoy the beeping "alarm" that goes off when the fridge door has been left open to long. The only thing that would be a complaint is that the water shoots out at a weird angle. If you are not familiar with this then it can cause quite a mess or worse wet your clothing. The outside of the fridge does show smudge marks but not as bad as others that we looked it. It is pretty easy to clean. Overall this is a good refrigerator and we would recommend it and even buy it again ourselves.
