We purchased this air conditioner as a temporary replacement when my home unit went out. It was a little difficult to assemble, and very heavy. I would recommend going with someone strong to help you carry it home. Once assembled, the controls were very easy to figure out. The air is very powerful and cool. Even though it is a window unit, the air spreads quickly throughout the whole house and cools it down. I was very satisfied. It is a little noisy, maybe especially because it is installed next to my living room television, but can easily be dealt with for the cool air. The slots next to the unit that protect the open part of the window are a little flimsy. My cat tore them up and when it came time for winter, lost of cold air comes through. I would recommend cutting some wood to fit the size and replacing that with the slots. Overall, it was a good deal for the price that I paid for the unit.
