I received this wonderful product from a dear friend at my bridal shower. The idea was to give me an aromatherapy item to help with stress relief, since I was under so much stress preparing for my destination wedding. This Lavender scent really did the trick! It's got a light, pleasant scent. It's instantly recognizable as Lavender. I like using it at night, to help me unwind and de-stress. It truly does have a calming and relaxing effect. The Lavender scent comes from actual Lavender essential oil, not chemicals. It also contains pure Shea butter. The product is light and non-greasy. The effect is soft and silky hands. I use it at night. During the day, I need a richer, thicker cream. I have pretty dry hands; I'm a nurse that washes her hands constantly!! So this product is best used as a luxury item, relaxing and silkening, but the moisturizing effects are not long lasting (if you have very dry hands, you'll need something more as well). This is an expensive item, but a nice luxury, and also makes a great gift! Scent Relaxing lavender scent is this product's best feature. Absorption Quick absorption. Non-greasy. Effectiveness Hands are silky and soft after use. Not long lasting though.

I love this hand cream. I use this hand cream as my travel hand cream for when I am out of the house. It is small enough to carry in my jacket or purse. I take it everywhere especially in the winter when my hands are dry and cracked. It does have a lavender scent to it so if your not a fan of scented lotions then I would probably pass it on. I am not a big fan of scented lotions but lavender happens to be one of my favorite scents as it is soft and relaxing so I do enjoy it. It does work effectively but it is a little greasy, I don't think it absorbs as well as some lotions do so you do really need to watch the amount your applying and sometimes you have to wipe your hands after. The only other downside to this lotion is that it is very expensive for such a little bottle! I do enjoy it but I am not sure if I would purchase it again for the price I paid especially for the size of the container.

I received this product as a birthday gift a couple of years ago. I was hesitant to use it as scented products and I don't mix well. I get a lot of allergic reactions. I decided to throw caution to the wind and tried it. Well was I a happy camper. I just love this product. I did not know how much I love Lavender until using this product. Now I use everything Lavender I can find. This product is very very moisturizing. My hands literally soak it up and feel incredible afterwards. I highly recommend this product. Scent The scent solidified it for me. I am now a loyal user of L'Occitane Lavender Hand Cream. It has a wonderful scent that lasts. It does not disappear in a short amount of time. Absorption My skin is so thirsty it absorbs just about all, if not all, of the cream. It's a real delight not have left over cream on your hands (literally) and then have to wipe it off. Effectiveness I rate the effectiveness of this product a 10. I never loved a hand cream more. I am so excited to have been given it as a gift, otherwise I never would have tried it. Since then I have also given this as gifts.

I got this lotion in the 2.6 oz. bottle because I thought it would be handy to keep around in my purse so after I get done washing my hands, or if I forget to moisturize my hands at home I can do it on the run (And also just because the bottle was just WAY too cute to pass up). Scent I absolutely love the way this smells. It is not too overbearing and has a nice lavender scent to it. It not only makes my hands feel happy, but it makes them smell happy too(Which makes me feel happy). Absorption L'Occitane Lavender Hand Cream sinks into the hands really quick and does not leave a greasy film or a sticky residue. It also has a pretty nice consistency, it is not super thick but it is no where near runny. Effectiveness This product would be perfect if it were a little bit more hydrating, considering the price I was hopeful that it would make my hands baby smooth. But it does take care of the dry skin and leaves my hands feeling healthy!

I have been a fan of L'Occitane products for years, and I love lavender so I fully expected that I would love their lavender lotion. And I was not disappointed. This lotion smells like standing in a field of lavender in Provence. So many less expensive brands make their lavender scented products smell overly sweet and fake. Not L'Occitane, trust the French to get this one right! I HATE using lotions that leave my hands sticky or greasy for hours afterwards. This absorbs amazingly quickly and you wouldn't even know that you had out it on if it weren't for your hands feeling and smelling great. I have really sensitive skin, often to the point of products causing or exacerbating excema, and often find that fragranced lotions make the problem worse. The L'Occitane fragrances seem to be the exception to this. I can only figure that it is because they don't use a lot of artificial fragrances and ingredients. I guess you get what you pay for!

I absolutely love the L'Occitane lavender hand cream. I would consider this particular handcream to be high end or a specialty item meaning most of the time you will pay more for this particular product. In this particular case you get exactly what you pay for extremely high quality product that will last you a very long time. This handcream is ultra moisturizing and nourishing to dry or damaged skin. I particularly like the texture of this handcream because it is smooth and not sick and gloppy. I also love this handcream because it's convenient to carry in my purse. I also love the scent of lavender because it is fresh and not over powering like some scents tend to be. I also feel that this product is very convenient to purchase because you can purchase it online from the comfort of your very own home or office. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a high end or specialty handcream that really works well.

L'Occitane Lavender Hand Cream is an excellent product. I use this daily when I have it. It's a little higher priced in comparison to other hand creams as far as the amount you get in the tube. But it is oh so worth it. This product's texture and formula is perfect. It's a treat to my hands, and makes them very soft and smooth feeling. Scent I love the way L'Occitane Lavender Hand Cream smells. It smells very fresh, floral , and feminine. But not so feminine that it's perfume like, or that the scent lingers too long or is cloying. Absorption The absorption of L'Occitane Lavender Hand Cream is perfect. Although this product is quite thick it goes into my skin very very quickly. It allows me to get back to handling paper work easily and without staining or ruining it. Effectiveness L'Occitane Lavender Hand Cream's effectiveness is wonderful. This product's benefits last a long while on my skin. It heals and protects my skin in the wintertime here in Ohio where very cold temperatures dry out and chap my skin.

I tried this lotion once and never bought it again because I was not impressed by it. The container is not plastic but more metallic and so it gets pointy when you start squeezing it out and i scratched my hands on it when it was in my purse. The fragrance was very floral and I did not like it. It did not smell young or modern but for an older demographic. The lotion itself was on the thin side but it rubbed in well. The lotion stayed on for awhile. I was not incredibly impressed by the lotion because it did not do anything different or better than cheaper drugstore lotion. The lotion helped soothe my dry skin and softened my cuticles. They use more natural ingredients which is nice. Scent I did not like the scent because it was too floral. The scent also conflicted with perfume because it was quite strong and lingered for awhile after I applied it. Effectiveness I don't think it's worth the extra money to buy this lotion.

I have terrible eczema on my hands and they are extremely sensitive to all lotions. After years of searching and using only Vaseline as a moisturizer, I found L'Occitane. This has been a life saver for me. Vaseline works, but it's so greasy and does not absorb. This lotion smells beautiful. It softens your hands and cuticles. It is not irritating or harsh to your skin. Your skin will drink this in! My husband and son are always stealing my hand lotions, so I stock pile this all over the house, car, purse etc. Scent The lavender scent of this hand cream is soft and realistic. There are some scents are so fake, they are annoying. This is the real scent you will love. Smell fresh lavender and then smell this hand cream. No one does is like L'Occitane! Absorption This at first seems a little greasy, but immediately absorbs right into your hands. Effectiveness This is wonderful for everyday moisturizing, but even better if your hands can not tolerate lotions with lots of harsh chemicals.

I have tried many of their products but did not realize there were so many more I was unaware of. My last purchase was an assortment of five hand creams consisting of 2 shea butter, verbena hand cream, rosebud shea butter and lavender hand cream. I must have purchased around the holidays. What an excellent assortment in this collection. I just really feel pampered when using these products as you just do not see them in our local stores. Living in WI we need all the help we can find to combat the cold weather especially this year. I love an assortment of products. We know their quality is top notch but the rich scents make it luxurious. It would be such a wonderful gift to give to anyone as it is good for all ages and quite reasonable as tubes are small. I do not believe anyone can improve on shea butter contents in products. I also like it because they are small to put into purse without taking up too much room. Scent Light and not overbearing
