I did give this product the negative review of being "harsh." Let me just explain-- I love a Strong exfoliator. I do not ever use this product on my face or other sensitive areas, nor is it intended for such use. That being said, I do use this product on my legs and arms, and I love the rough texture. I feel like the rough "harshness" is what really gets the job done, especially on my legs! This product lasts forever, particularly when you buy the larger of the two sizes. I like the smell, although it is a bit more of a natural smell, rather than a perfumey one. I also love that it moisturizes as you exfoliate. Two jobs done by one product. Amazing! If you are questioning this product, simply go into your nearest Lush Cosmetics (I know, sometime easier said than done) and ask for someone to show you how to use a buffy bar. The lush associate will literally give you the most amazing, cleansing arm massage ever!

Wow! That about sums up this bar of body butter! This stuff is amazing! The fragrance is totally natural, which I am a huge fan of. The bar contains granules of walnuts to help exfoliate your skin while the oils moisturize your skin. Simply wonderful. Comes in 2 different sizes, large or small. I gave this a 9, because as much as I love it, it is so hard to clean up in my bathtub. It leaves a smooth, yet oily ring around the tub. It's not impossible to wash out with a little scrubbing, but it definitely took a lot more work to remove the residue than I wanted to spend cleaning after a long-relaxing bath! Overall this is fantastic! I definitely recommend! If you haven't been to LUSH, go check it out. It's a wonderful experience, with incredible products and knowledgable sales associates!!

I never really understood the term "body butter" and it always sounded a little gross to say aloud (mainly because it stirred up images of someone smearing margarine all over themselves), but I received this LUSH Buffy Body Butter in a gift basket and decided to give it a try. Why waste free soap, right? Well, I was really surprised by how much I liked it! I had assumed it would just be like any other soap, but it really wasn't. It had a much silkier, softer feel to it, and it didn't leave behind that tight, filmy feeling that most soaps tend to leave behind. I really loved it and I will probably go and purchase it myself. Effectiveness This left my skin feeling nice and clean, but also SO soft and silky! I did not experience any dryness after using this, where most soaps tend to dry out my skin. This left it feeling nice and moisturized. Scent I loved the scent of this. It is subtle and natural, not full of fake-smelling perfumes.

After reading rave reviews on this product I shelled out the big bucks to get a bar. Unfortunately, I don't think the benefits justify the cost; you can get better results from products that don't require a trip to the specialty store or a significant cost investment. The value simply isn't there; I followed the clerk's instructions very carefully with respect to use and storage but it disappeared fairly quickly. For me, the value just isn't there. Effectiveness I did not feel exfoliated so much as sticky. My skin gets dry in winter so it was a perfect time to try this product. I don't feel this bar was any more effective than other products I have tried and I didn't like that it felt like I had rubbed sticky tar or tree sap all over my body. Scent The scent is not particularly pleasing; a cross between tar and something medicinal. When I spend the kind of money I did on a bath/skin care product I want it to smell good - it adds to the luxriousness I want from the experience.

I cannot say one bad thing about this product. Lush's Buffy Body Butter is a bar of amazingness. The bar itself is a moisturizing God and inside it has great natural exfoliates that really get the job done. I love using this product on a daily basis. It works great to cleanse my skin and get out all the dirt and grime that has been building up throughout the day. This Buffy Body Butter will leave your skin feeling silky and smooth after each use. I love the body buffer bar! It always leaves me feeling clean and fresh and makes my skin super soft! I have been using this for a few years. I like the light scent in the summer because it lasts through the day but I use it most during the winter to keep my skin from getting dried and cracked. Lush sells tins for you to store your bars. I recommend getting one with any bar you purchase to keep it from melting in a warm area they melt fairly easily. You can use the bar in the shower and rinse off or just rub it across your body and the heat of your body melts the bar onto your skin. You don't have a greasy feeling and there are no clumps. It is even safe for small children since the ingredients are natural. Effectiveness I noticed a difference in my skin almost immediately most likely because there are no chemical additives in the bar. It makes my skin soft and smooth and it seems to tighten as well. I am left with smooth, baby soft-skin every time I use it. Scent This bar smells delicious! Everything they use in their bars is natural and you probably could eat it but it probably wouldn't taste great. The scent lasts a good amount of time and is light and not at all over powering. It is somewhat sweet but it smells very clean.

Ahh, Buffy the backside slayer, where would I be without you? I'd look a lot more like a lizard during the winter, certainly. This is a fantastic product and always in my bathroom. It's an exfoliator and moisturiser in one, but you have to use it on wet skin otherwise it's just rubbing sandpaper over your skin and that really hurts. I use it after washing my body, run it under the shower for a second (but not too long, because the lovely oils melt very quickly) and scrub all over wobbly and knobbly bits then a quick rinse to finish et viola! no more dry, flaky skin. Especially good for keeping the ketosis pilaris on my arms at bay so I use it there year round and in winter it keeps the leg dandruff away. Don't leave it sitting in water after use, always put it on a soap dish to drain and it'll last months and months. Great value for a 2 in 1 product and it saves time cos I don't have to moisturise afterwards. Win!

The LUSH Buffy Body Butter is a solid block of super moisturizing cocoa, and shea butters it also contains exfoliating particles like ground rice, almonds, and aduki beans. I get the best use out of this product in the shower. How I use it is by rubbing the bar across my damp skin it circular motions everywhere. After I am done I then rinse off all the exfoliating particles this is an incredibly abrasive exfoliator that is perfect for my dry skin patches. I like that it is more abrasive, because it helps to take the dead skin off and penetrate the moisturizing cocoa, and shea butters better into my skin. I find that I don't ever have to apply moisturizer to my skin after I use this product it really helps to keep my skin smooth, and hydrated all day. I can not live with out the LUSH Buffy Body Butter it is a must for me especially in this dry weather I use it everyday that's how much I love this stuff. It is best used when you have damp skin, and if you want you can run the bar under warm water to really melt the product into your skin. It has a very warm nutty scent to it I enjoy it on me. I highly recommend this if you want moisturized skin.

I love this product! Any time I have even the smallest amount of dry skin, I whip out a chunk of Buffy and go to town. The thing I love about Buffy is that it's so easy to use. I never feel like I have to apply too much pressure or scrub too much to get it to work. The size of the exfoliating particles in Buffy is perfect! They're not too big to were they scratch up the skin, but they're not too small to where they don't do anything. I find that the particle size produces perfectly smooth skin. The soap itself is moisturizing, so it's an all-in-one product. I like that I can exfoliate my skin and moisturize it all at once. This best part about this product is that it lasts for a very long time. One small chunk of Buffy lasts me around 2 months with regular use. I would expect the product to run out more quickly, but I love that it lasts so long. Buffy is one of my favorite LUSH products ever. Try it, and you won't regret it!

This body butter has saved my life these past winter months. In the winter, my skin tends to get super dry, and it just feels super flaky and itchy. My skin around my elbows, knees, and wrists/forearms get especially dehydrated. My friend recommended this body bar to me, and I'm so glad she did. It exfoliates really well, but not in a way that feels super harsh. When I scrub the problem areas, it does a great job of gently removing the dead flaky skin, leaving the area super smooth. I use the body bar on my entire body, and whenever I leave the shower, my skin just feels smooth, soft, and moisturized. The product also smells amazing, and since Lush products are made from all-natural products, you know that you are feeding your skin with healthy ingredients rather than chemicals. The almonds in the bar effectively eliminate lumps and bumps on the skin, while the cocoa and shea butters are great for deep moisturization.
