Favorite thing is the sweet scent!

4

When I tried this out, I used my larger bath tub and I think that it may have worked better if I used a smaller one. The product was probably a bit diluted and it is already on the small side. When I dropped it in, the fizz was kind of weak which was a little boring to watch. I would also have preferred it if it were colored. My bath water had a very small white tinge. It made my arms and legs really soft but did not do much for my feet, which are very dry. The water felt a little thicker and that was probably because of the oils in it. Effectiveness It moisturizes my skin very well but was not as satisfying to the eye because there was no color. Scent The scent is the best thing about this bath bomb and I would repurchase it just because of that aspect. It is really strong and filled my entire bathroom and bedroom. It smells very sweet and I can tell that it may be sickening to some, but I really enjoy that. The scent is very relaxing and makes me drowsy.

Love This Product, Just Wish It Lasted Longer

4

I received this product as a Christmas present from my mother this year. I had absolutely no idea what it was when I opened it. I thought perhaps it was a differently-shaped hand soap, but then read the directions to just put it in the bathtub and watch it explode like a bomb! I will admit that I was a little nervous, but I threw the bomb inside the tub, sat back and watched the bath bomb explode, just as promised, while the bathtub was filling up. It exploded with small salts and scents into the water. It made the bathtub an opaque color, meaning it was filled with enough of something to make the water not completely translucent anymore. I sat, read, and enjoyed my bath. When I got out I then smelled like this butterball bath bomb. It was a good, definitely clean, smell. As I dried off, I feel like I took 99% of the scent and moisturizers with me. I wish the scent would have lasted a little longer.

Not good for sensitive skin

Finally, a Lush product I don't get on with. I love most of their stuff and have been using them for more years than I care to remember. But the ballistics never got on with my skin. Butterball is no exception, though the sales staff clearly tried to convince me otherwise as I bought it. Sure, it smells nice. It smells great, actually, like all the bath bombs. And I do so love watching them fizz about the bath and dissolve. But there's just far too much bicarb and citric acid in bath bombs for them to ever suit me. I know lots of people love them, but despite all the claims they just dry my skin out to the extent that it's actually painful. It's really not worth having nice smelling skin when it hurts to dry it! Not to mention the absolute faff of cleaning out the bathtub after I've used one of the bath bombs, which alone would be enough to put me off using them. At more than five euro a bath, it's even less worth it. Only reason I scored this as a 2 and not a 1 is the nice scent. Which isn't enough to make me buy it again.

I frequently use the LUSH Butterball Bath Bomb in the cold weather when my skin is more cracked than usual. It looks like an actually ball of butter I throw the whole thing under my bath water, and watch it fizz up everywhere. I like to take my hands, and swirl in around in the water so that all the cocoa butter is worked into the water better. The LUSH Butterball Bath Bomb is mostly made out of cocoa butter so the scent of it is really chocolatey, and nutty with a hint of vanilla. My skin feels slightly oily, but it's great I don't have to use a separate moisturizer after use it is a cure for my dry skin. I always make sure to keep my hair out of the bath water so It does not get oily residue on it. The scent definitely last on my skin for a long time, because I do not rinse the product off. I get compliments about how well the scent makes me smell it also keeps my skin super hydrated so I have a warm glow to my skin. This product is one of the cheaper Bath Bombs from LUSH so it's really inexpensive to treat my skin once in awhile. The only downside is that it leaves an oily residue in my bathtub I am always careful when I get out of the tub not to slip.

Amazing Moisturizing!

I love all of Lush's bath bombs and this is no exception! It leaves your skin feeling super moisturized but not greasy and smelling simply lovely! The bomb itself is big enough to use twice - half each in two separate bath times. Just wrap the second half back up in the paper or bag and you're good to go. It produces masses and masses of fragrant bubbles that last for quite a while. The smell can be a bit strong initially, so if you're at all sensitive to smells you may want to pass on this particular bomb. Lush is also made with all real ingredients, nothing you can't pronounce, so you can feel safe soaking away for ages in a Lush bath bomb bath with no worries about what you may be soaking in. Lush's bombs are also handmade so they're all slightly different and not exactly perfect, which also just adds to their charm. And their bombs are also packaged so nicely in little bags that you almost don't want to unwrap them and use them!

The BEST bath bomb out there!

I for one love LUSH products, and butterball bath bomb is my ultimate FAVORITE! With a sweet and subtle vanilla smell, this bomb is very moisturizing. It leaves my skin feeling beautiful. Effectiveness Not only is this a relaxing bath bomb, but it also has small chunks of cocoa butter that will leave your skin feeling amazing. No need to moisturize after using this bath bomb! It lotions you up and pampers you while you're in the tub. Scent Most LUSH products have a very strong smell that some may consider overpowering. This bath bomb has an amazing, amazing light vanilla smell that is very subtle and great for people who are looking for a more toned down scent.

How did they pack such a luxurious product in this little ball?

I received a Lush Butterball Bath Bomb for Christmas, and had honestly never heard of them before. It's a hard ball that you drop in the bath to release a fizzing action, which then releases a fragrance and moisturizers. I've tried those inexpensive fizzing bath products from the store, which really don't do anything at all. This was NOT one of those! Effectiveness Drop a Bath Bomb into warm bath water and watch it go into action. It fizzes and dissolves, releasing an amazing fragrance. The bath water becomes a moisturizing tub, which softens skin and leaves it smelling wonderful and feeling soft. The bath turned a bit milky looking, but was never greasy. I really enjoyed using mine after a long day. It was so great, I plan on buying more for myself. Scent This scent was very relaxing. It's a bit musky, with a definite trace of vanilla. It's calming, pampering, and the perfect scent for a warm bath before bed.

Butter me up while I'm soaking in the tub.

Butterball is my favorite LUSH bath bomb ever. It's moisturizing, smells terrific, and I use it frequently in winter to relax and keep my skin hydrated and soft. Butterball is a staple in my LUSH pantry and I flip out when my supply starts to get low. I like to have a few of them on hand at all times. Effectiveness After I run the bath, I plop a Butterball in the water. As it begins to fizz and roll around in the water, it releases its wonderful, nutty scent as well as little blobs of actual cocoa butter. It's just loaded thru and thru with cocoa butter which looks a little gross when it separates from the bomb as they are little tan floating blobs. The blobs eventually melt completely and the melted butter floats on the water to coat the skin and lock in moisture. My skin feels slightly oily after use but it also feels very good and I don't have to use a separate moisturizer; I usually just rub the residual oil into my skin, dry off, and get dressed. The only downside to Butterball is that it leaves an oily film on the surface of the tub. The tub must be cleaned after each use or you risk slipping the next time you step into the bath.

Perfect for a cold winter night.

This bath bomb, though small, is perfect in the middle of the dry winter. It contains shea butter in it so the water needs to be pretty warm in order for the shea butter bits to melt. The scent, which lingers for a long time both on your skin and in your tub, is a mix of vanilla and cocoa butter. This is the most moisturizing bathbomb that Lush carries, and in my opinion it is incredibly worthwhile to at least try it, particularly if you've been suffering from dry skin. Typically I will soak in the tub for at least an hour.   It may leave a slight oily film on the sides of the tub but this wipes off easily and there is no color to this bathbomb so you won't have the typical ring that most of Lush's bathbombs leave.   The size of this bathbomb is pretty small so it's difficult to break it up into pieces for multiple baths, but it's one of the cheaper bathbombs that Lush carries so it's not as bad to use the whole thing in one go.

Very Moisturizing!

This LUSH bath bomb has been voted 1 of LUSH lover's favorites for good reason. This bomb is small but powerful. It really does the trick on dry wore out Winter skin. Its small put packs a powerful punch of moisturizing ingredients that melt into your tub and will coat your skin like layering on a the creamy body butter. One of the down falls is that it will make your tub slimy coated as well. But its a fantastic product if you dont mind scrubbing the tub after every use.
