I first tried **Maybelline Lash Stylist Washable Mascara** after reading endless raves about it on various beauty forums. Maybe I got a dud tube, but I just couldn't get this to work for me. Although the brush appeared to be an innovation in mascara application--just a sliver of a short-toothed comb, I ended up with gobs of black on my lashes every time. Even when I would wipe 95 percent of the product off the brush, I ended up with fake-looking, clumpy eyelashes at best. No separation, no natural thickness. Just three to five trashy spikes. Even when I would quickly grab an eyelash comb to separate, my lashes would find their way back to each other as the day progressed to form a unilash. To make matters worse, this stuff is not easy to wash off. After a few weeks I ended up tossing the tube and keeping the comb. Back to Great Lash and Voluminous for me! I've yet to try it with another mascara, but I'm curious to see if the fault lie in the formula or the applicator.

I purchaed this mascara based on the reccommendation of a friend. When I initally opened it and saw the comb like brush I was taken back and truly through this would not be as effective at sparating and extending lashes as some other mascaras. Boy, was I wrong! This product is amazing. I own it in very black and the color is what it sounds like, I rich, deep black. The comb did such an effective job at elongating and separating my lashes. I found that it did not flake or clump and stayed on noticably throughout the day. I could not as for more. I have tried all diffrent types, kinds, and brands when it comes to mascara. I could say that this comes close to the higher end deparetment store types. The formula is not sticky, clumpy, or has a distateful oder as some other mascaras can tend to have. It is reasonablly priced and for a drugstore mascara this really shines as one of the best I have tried out there. I highly reccommend!

It seems like I have tried many types of mascara. I could never get my short lashes to look curled or natural. With Maybelline lash Stylist Comb Mascara it looks like they are curled slightly and not unnatural. There is no clumping or separation that looks weird. It's not fake looking! I am the kind of person that does my whole makeup routine in about ten minutes and it looks natural, not heavy. The comb is the best part of this mascara. I love the comb. I will never use a regular brush again. It is such a great applicator! This mascara does not run and does not irritate my eyes. I do not like other types of Maybelline mascara and was leery to try this one, but I'm glad I did. Maybelline products such as Great Lash Curl Brush run more easily and do not make my lashes look natural. They don't have the comb applicator. All in all, a really great mascara that I intend to keep purchasing. It does the job!

I received this as a gift: bless those friends and relatives who think to buy something new for us that we might never buy for ourselves! This mascara was totallly different from what I had been using. I was using a product where it plumped up/clumped up my lashes and I was very pleased with it. However the Maybelline product has a thin little comb on the end of its wand and it does not plump at all. HOWEVER, it gives your lashes plenty of body and the effect is nice. I have the brownish-black color because I am fair and it is a perfect color for my complexion. You get a look where it brings out your eyes and yet looks natural, not such a false look as some mascaras give. I never would have thought to buy this if I had known about the consistency and the comb-like wand and brush yet I really like it and would buy it next time. Maybelline has a solid reputation in the makeup industry and you usually can't go wrong with the items it produces.

I have been using this for about  6 months and I like this mascara a lot.  With that said, I still haven't found the perfect mascara.  Love the comb-it-on idea, it really does work great.  But it still does get clumpy a little and hardens so fast and comes off way easily when I'm in the rain or something.  It comes off easy at night, too, which is nice, but I'd rather have it a little more difficult to get off.  So I love the comb and while the formula is better than most, I'm sure there's better out there.

When I purchased this mascara it had just come out and I bought it for the promotion. After trying it I absolutley loved it. The applicator makes it much easier to put on without any clumping. And it really did make my eyelashes look fuller

I think this mascara works great!  love the fact that it works well, with my eyelashes I mean my eyelashes are not so long but, this mascara makes them look pretty long. that is why i love it also it's not so expensive.

I purchased the Maybelline Lash Stylist mascara and used it for several weeks.  The applicator is a little different from most mascara wands in that it is a small, very fine toothed brush.  The teeth of the brush are only on one side of the applicator   After trying it out for several weeks I was plainly disappointed.  I thought that the small brush would distribute teh mascara a bit more evenly on my lashes, much like a hair brush would smooth out hair. Unfortunately, the brush doesn't distribute the mascara evenly and my mascara went on clumpy. After application, I had to try to separate each lash while they were still wet which never did work. When I apply my mascara I usually like to brush some on my lower eyelid to get a little bit of a muted eyeliner look, but with this mascara I could not do so. All in all, I would have to say that I did not like this particular mascara at all and would not purchase it again.

Attention, everyone.  Everyone who wants to have beautiful eyelashes, or who wants to do someone's makeup who wants to have beautiful eyelashes.  This is the best mascara I have ever found.  The comb applicator allows for precise definition, and "zero-clumping" as all mascara commercial companies claim (which is rarely true).  The wand is sturdy so you have plenty of control, and the mascara itself is inky, bold and shaping.  That is really the best way I can describe it.  I have tried multiple other mascaras since I discovered this mascara, and regret it every time. Most recently Rimmel's Lash Maxxx (you'll find my review on here).  I will never stray again because every time I do, I'm reminded of how amazing Maybelline's Lash Stylist is!  I've turned my sisters and friends onto it, as well.  And we all talk about how no other mascara does the same thing.  It lengthens and almost seems to curl. After the mascara has dried I feel my eyelashes with my fingers and it seems like the mascara has almost formed my eyelashes into an upwards curled position.  I love this mascara.

I must first say I love Maybelline. Everytime they launch something new I have to try it, and that is precisely how I came about Maybelline Lash Stylist Washable Mascara. Lets start with what I loved about this product: (1.) the comb allows perfect separation of lashes (2.) the color pigments are what they should be. The black is black. The brown is brown, and the brownish black looks so natural my friends didn't belive that I was wearing mascara at all. (3.) It lasts. Despite the fact that it isn't waterproof, although there is a version of it that is, i doesn't easily rub off or cry off. I cried, I rubbed, it stayed. (4.) the price is awesome, and even better there are so many coupons available for Maybelline products you can never go wrong with the price. Now for things I didn't like about it: (1.) The comb is dangerous. I did poke my eye a few times and the little pointed edges of the comb hurt! Be careful when applying. (2.) Washable?? Well if you use eye make up remover it comes off easy, if you don't you have to rub a bit. (3.) It goes fast, the comb uses a lot of mascara at once so one tube doesn't last very long. Overall I did like this mascara. I keep a bottle of blackest black in my makeup bag for nights when I want to glam it up. I say give it a try and decide for yourself.
