I purchased this from the Home Depot. We had set out to purchase a GE dishwasher, but were persuaded into this one once we talked to a couple that were shopping their and heard that we were looking to purchase a dishwasher they raved about this Maytag dishwasher as they had purchased one and loved it. We took their advice and purchased a Maytag. It is a lot quieter than I expected it to be. The dishes come out clean and spotless every time I like the sanitize feature which is a very unique feature so I know that my dishes are not only clean, but germ free as well. There is plenty of room in the dishwasher for lots of dishes with a family of four including two small children we needs lots of space for our dirty dishes. This dishwasher is well worth the investment. We have had no problems with the dishwasher and would recommend this product to family and friends.

Overall we are satisfied with our Maytag dishwasher. It was very quiet at first but it has gotten very loud as time has passed. The dishes come out clean. It takes a very long time to go through the cleaning cycle but I guess most dishwashers do. It is very nice looking & I like all the buttons. I like the different heights for glassware on the top rack. I can fit alot more items in the bottom rack than my old dishwasher. If you dont mind a noisy dishwasher I would recommend this one.

Unfortunately our dishwasher was not what I expected.  I worked great initially but then would start randomly, or not start at all. I'm not sure if proximity to sink is an issue as I see that some have not had any problem with it at all. Ours is located next to our sink.   Eventually we purchased another (brand) dishwasher.  This highlighted one favorable characteristic - -the racks.  Our current dishwasher (not maytag) does not fit nearly as much dishes and the lower shelf does not accommodate tall object (and I'm not talking exceptionally tall either). I really miss the rack and amount of dishes that were able to be cleaned in the maytag.   Long and short of review is I definitely would not get another maytag if it is located near sink: I think I read somewhere that they have general electrical/circuitry issues. I would consider a purchase (based on some positive reviews) if it was located at least one cabinet space away from the sink.

This is a wonderful quiet dishwasher which was exactly what we were looking for when purchasing.  We originally thought we would buy a Frigidaire but were talked into this one by the sales person and have not been disappointed.  We did buy the extended warranty which is well worth the money.  Any time the handle breaks (which has happened on several occassions) we just make a phone call and the repair man is on his way.  I don't think the handle is a bad feature although it could be a little better constructed.  But I have 6 people including 4 children loading and unloading so ours gets it's fair share of uses.  I love the way the dishwasher is laid out inside.  It will hold a ton of dishes and cleans without having to rinse the dishes first.  My favorite part about the dishwasher is the rinse cycle which saves money by using less water than hand rinsing and the sanitize feature which makes me feel everything is perfectly clean.
