Mobi MobiCam AV Wireless Audio/Video Monitoring System is not worth buying. It's a hassle to set up and then quits working pretty quickly. The video clarity is very low. It appeared to be pretty good quality when I looked at it but that isn't the case. I should have read reviews online prior to buying this. Setting the Mobi MobiCam up is just a hassle. It involves a lot of steps. Eventually I got it on my wall. It really doesn't like to stay on the wall, instead it likes to fall off which is not convenient with a baby around! I also don't like it being mounted to the wall, I would prefer it were portable, not just anchored in one place. My Mobi MobiCam kept turning off. I thought there was something wrong with the batteries but changed them and it continued to do it. There must have been a short or something in the monitor. We quickly got rid of this product due to it turning off. Why keep a monitoring device that doesn't work? Prior to getting rid of the monitor we noticed the clarify of the video was pretty poor. It was very grainy and would lag out. Seriously, don't buy the Mobi MobiCam AV Wireless Audio/Video Monitoring System. It is a hassle to set up, didn't work long at all, and had poor video quality.

I was in search for the perfect video camera monitor for my baby. I was tired of running up and down the stairs to check on every sound coming from our regular monitor. I wanted the peace of mind of being able to see the baby, not just hear him. I bough this monitor mostly because of the color and style. It looked durable. I was not happy with it because it was difficult to install. Once I did have it installed, it kept falling from the wall where I mounted it. I would have preferred to be able to stand it in different spots since my baby isn't always left in just one area. The video screen seemed too small for me. I was unable to clearly see small details that were important to me. I had to squint to see if the baby's eyes were open or if he was still sleeping. The sound was good. I did get a lot of static but I live in a wooded area so I think the static is a given on any monitor. I would not recommend this monitor. I would recommend paying a little more for a better quality monitor.

I have been using this Mobicam for when my wife and I go on vacations or visiting friends. I like the portability of it and it's ease of use. It is not difficult to set up and that has been the biggest problem with other similar products that I have tried like this. The sound and the clarity are not as exceptional as other much higher priced items that serve the same function, but then again the price for this is much lower as well. I find that we use this one more for a portable camera that we can take with us on the go when visiting places. The viewing area is small, but that is not a major concern. It takes up very little space and has been extremely reliable when used. I have encountered some fuzzy pictures at times when I had the monitor on a different level of the house that I was visiting. The power cord is short, but I was able to plug it in near an outlet so taht wasn't a problem. For an inexpensive monitor, I would recommend this product. I wouldn't use it as my main monitor though.

To sum it up, you get what you pay for. This video monitor was inexpensive and its performance matches its price point. It is very basic, but gets the job done. If you're looking for a basic and inexpensive video monitor, this is the one for you, just don't expect too much. Sound/Video Clarity The sound of this product was okay. We had so much static that it was hard to hear the sound. In fact, we used a separate audio monitor for sound. The video clarity was okay. We were able to see the baby, so it served its purpose. Interference We had a lot of interference with this monitor, especially when it came to sound. It was staticky all the time. Durability No problems with durability. Portability The portability was good. It either hooks up to a plug or you can use batteries.

Im sure all new parents can relate to the fear of letting your baby sleep in his/her own crib in their own room for the first time. I was was freaking out. My husband bought the mobicam monitor and was i ever glad he did. We did not know much about monitors when we bought it, we choose it because it was a good price for a monitor with a camera. We are so happy with this one. It was really easy to set up and has a really clear picture even in the dark. The sound is wonderful and i sleep so much better knowing all i have to do is look over at the monitor to see if our son is ok. We have been using it for over two years now and its still going strong. The only thing i dont like is the battery life is short but if you keep in pluged in there is nothing to worry about. This is a quality product for a great price.

We recieved this item for our babyshower when expecting our first son. We set it up in his nursery, tried it out several times and things seemed great. However, once he arrived...we were only able to use it 2-3 times and we would notice it would suddenly cut out and turn off. Thinking it was only the batteries needing to be changed we replaced these but soon realized it still did this and did this when plugged into the wall as well. It just turns off and cuts out after several minutes. The worst part is that if you were relying on it to alert you of your childs activity at night, you may never know until the next morning that it stopped working. Mobi offered a limited warranty but it was only within a certain short amount of time. It took us 3 months to figure out this didn't work because it was purchased so far in advance at our shower that we could not return it which is sad because it is brand new.

I researched baby monitors extensively before deciding on the MobiCam monitoring system. I really wanted a monitor with a camera but I didn't like the bulky tv like viewing on some of the monitors, and others were so expensive!  This monitor was resonably priced and my husband really likes all the extra features you can get for it.  He has it set up so that you he can watch our son napping from his computer at work. We did have to purchase the extra stuff for this feature though but it made him going back to work after his two weeks off much easier.  We haven't had too much trouble with interfearance like some of the reviews had mentioned.   Only every now and then does the sound get staticky but just turning the viewing monitor to face a different direction has alway worked for me to get it to stop. I am very satisfied with this monitor and would definately recommend it to any one looking at video monitors.

My husband and I investigated so many video monitors and settled on the Mobi.  We were very excited to set it up and use it right away.  However, we became dissapointed with the camera very soon after bringing our little one home from the hospital. While the picture and color are very clear, it is very hard to angle it appropriately to see our child in their crib.  Once it is mounted correctly, it is virtuely impossible to find a way to move the camera head to get a clear shot of our kiddo.  We have moved the crib several times around the room and moved the camera accordingly to get a clear shot, and it just cannot be done.  Also, the button that switches between the two channels broke in the first two months we had the camera.  We also get a lot of static if the receiver isn't set "just so".  On the plus side, the sound is very clear and the receiver is nice and compact- it doesn't take up too much room on the bedside table.  However, if we were to purchase another video monitor- this would not be the one.
