It's not the fanciest coffee maker in the world, but it's also not the cheapest lowest quality either. You get what you pay for. This works just fine.

We have this coffee pot and have had it for a number of years. We have the white one like pictured. From what I can remember the price was good. My only complaint is that it drips a little after you remove the pot. It is not that user friendly. In addition when you pour coffee out of the pot into a cup, it drips so you have to pour over a sink so as not to get your counter messed up. In addition I do not use the programmable portion of the coffee pot machine since I do not like to leave appliances plugged in unless I absolutely have to. In addition I do like the pot because I have had Mr. Coffee pots in the past with good results. The pot itself has broken once when I hit it against my counter tops and it was easy to find a replacement. The coffee it makes is good and the warming plate does keep it hot enough. In addition I find it is easy to clean, but does require a lot of cleaning around the plate due to drips

I received my Mr Coffee SKX 20 as a Christmas gift and have to say that the brewed cup of coffee is really good. I love the fact that it is programmable and as I get up at 5 AM to have a hot cup of coffee waiting me for me is great. i like that the dripping stops to allow you to pour a cup before the entire pot brews. I do find that I use more coffee with this machine than I did with my Black & Decker Space Saver model to get the right strength. I am disappointed as it is only February and the warming plate has already chipped and I have the white model with the black warming plate & the black color of the plate comes off with every use. It's really messy and needs constant wiping of the counter and machine. i don't think I would buy this model again and definitely not the white version.

I have strayed a time or two in the last twenty years when choosing a new automatic coffee machine, but I always come back to the Mr. Coffee brand. This particular model has been one of my favorites. I was very happy when they started making these machines in black (SKX23) as it doesn't show that dingy brown stain that eventually shows up all around the filter basket over time. I don't often use the programmable timer, but am glad to have it when I do need it and I find the 2 hour automatic turn off feature crucial as I often forget to turn it off. This Mr. Coffee machine makes consistently good coffee and very important to me is that it keeps it very hot for a good long time. A couple of other features that seem petty, but keep me loyal to this brand are the easy access water resevoir, the "sneak a cup" no drip feature that really works, and the fact that the lid can be removed from the pot for easy cleaning.

I wanted a coffee maker different than the traditional black or white.  This is a unique color.  It's not red like described.  It is more of a burgundy color.  12 cups--2hr auto shut-off--on/off indicator light--removeable filter basket--pause & serve--dual water windows--cord storage.  The only thing I dislike about it, is the coffee is not quite as hot as I would like for it to be. Very simple to use. I love all of the features.

I have used a wide variety of coffee makers, programmable 'cause I'm spoiled and want my coffee hot and waiting when I wake up, and this is the ONLY one whose pot doesn't drip when you pour.  I don't know how they did it but this is an aggravation I now don't have to deal with. It's not any noisier than most others and, if kept clean, will brew you a 12 cup pot of HOT coffee within 6 minutes.  I've also noticed that the pot doesn't stain, as all my others did, if the coffee is left in the pot for a few hours. I'd recommend this coffee maker to anyone.

I love this coffee maker! This is the second Mr. Coffee 12-cup programmable coffee maker I've owned - not because the first one broke, but because I love it so much! I bought one when I was in college and loved that I could program it to make coffee at whatever time in the morning and it would be ready when I woke up. Then I moved from the east coast to the west coast and sold the first one in a garage sale (it worked perfectly after many years!) When I got to my new location I headed straight for the store to buy the exact same coffee maker on the first day in my new apartment. I love that it can brew up to 12 cups, for when I have house guests. I usually only brew a few cups just for myself. My favorite, favorite feature is that it's programmable though - I'm a busy, working mom and mornings can be very hectic. It's so nice to be able to set the coffee maker at night and wake up to the smell of freshly brewed coffee. I've had my new Mr. Coffee for going on three years now - and I still use it EVERY morning! I can't live without Mr. Coffee!!!!
