I was looking for a coffee maker that made a good amount of coffee but didn't have so many options that I didn't know what to do with it. Mr. Coffee's twelve cup coffee maker is just what I never knew I always wanted! This thing is perfect for me. It makes twelve good sized cups and has only the essential elements, on/off, timer etc.. On top of everything else that is amazing about this thing is that it has a nice little design so it looks good sitting on your countertop and the price is just right in my opinion. I can't say enough how happy I am to have found this product. I have had mine for a couple of years with heavy use and it's still working great. If and when this thing breaks down I will probably replace it with the same thing!

I have had a Mr. Coffe coffee pot before, so when we had so many problems with this one I was really surprised.  The first few times we used it, the pot of coffee ended up having grounds all in the bottom of it.  We did everything as we normally would have, so I'm not really what the problem was.  I did find that the filters have to fit perfectly and very tightly for there to be no problems with this pot.  Another problem we have is that sometimes when we go to pour the coffee into our mugs the carafe leaks for whatever reason.  It does not always do it but is just hit and miss and quite a mystery.  It has also leaked out the back before which was also puzzling.  It makes me think we just aren't doing something right or just got a bad coffee pot.  I hate to have so many bad things to say about it, but we really have had one problem after another with this coffee pot.  When it does work, it does just fine but we always wonder if it will or won't work when we program it.

This coffeemaker brews hot coffee if you use practicality in brewing it and follow common sense guidelines. The coffee should be ground first to a fine grind and then a measuring spoon should be used to calibrate water to coffee ratio; one cup of coffee means one cup water to one teaspoon of ground coffee or if you have exceptional quality coffee just a elbow spoon worth. Pack the ground coffee in the basket down with your fingers and then smooth it off with a spoon's bottom and use natural paper for the basket(one choice is Melitta). Pour the cups of water to your taste in the reservoir in the back of the coffeemaker(4 cups is usually plenty of coffee in one sitting). Press the start button and watch the coffemaker percolate. First will be water then it will thicken to brown and then to dark brown and then to black. This coffeemaker has a feature of pausing the brew but I recommend letting the brewing process finish, by which time there will be steam.

We purchased this coffee maker this weekend.  So far, it is easy to use and looks great on the counter. We chose the Mr. Coffee brand because the one we are replacing has lasted so long. These coffee makers have proven that they last and last. Not only are they affordable from brand new, but it also is great not to have to replace this appliance every two years.

Mr. Coffee TFX23 12 cup programmable coffeemaker is an excellent way to wake up smelling the coffee each morning.  This coffeemaker is programmable so I can easily set it up the night before so that in the morning when I am half asleep all I need to do is to hit the 'Start' button and instantly the coffee starts brewing and fills up the house with the best aroma to wake up to.  This coffee maker has a pause 'n Serve feature which is nice so that while I'm brewing a whole pot I can stop and make myself a cup while it's still brewing and enjoy a relaxing first cup while I complete making the rest of the breakfast meal.  This coffeemaker has a removable filter insert which makes for easy emptying of the old coffee filter and grinder.  It is very easy to find the plain white filter papers for this model. Mr. Coffee makes the white filters and you can also buy some of the off brand filters and they work just fine in this coffee maker. I also like the 2 hour auto shut-off, this way when I leave the house and wonder "did I shut the coffee pot off?"  I don't have to worry because Mr. Coffee automatically shuts itself off after 2 hours. This machine has the Dual Water window for easy filling and a cord Storage.  It also includes a coffee scoop.
