This food is great for dogs with food allergies. One of my dogs is allergic to egg and it can be rather difficult to find a good quality dog food without egg. Also if your dog has an allergy to some of the other common for allergies like beef and chicken, then they have a large selection of flavors other than beef and chicken. And because of the limited ingredients you know it will not be contaminated with other animal meats. On top of that my dogs love the food and many of the flavors they have tried. Natural balance also carries dog treats in LID, which I love cause they have no egg and the dogs love too. The food does cost more than well named brands, but those brands, like pedigree, mostly have corn in them as well as other lower quality ingredients. For the quality of food it is on par with the price of other high quality dog foods. There are a couple of other does without egg but they lack variety of flavors, however, are slightly cheaper. Quality of Ingredients This food has limited ingredients just like the bag says. The main ingredients in the food are labelled in the flavor. There are no real surprises in this food. Flavor Selection They have a wide range of foods in the LID natural balance food. There is chicken, bison, lamb, fish, duck and even kangaroo. If your dog has the common allergy to chicken or beef, then this is a good dog food for you.
