It seems like I have gone through just about every dog food on the market in the last sixteen years of dog owning. And in the process of going through all the different brands, I happened to come across this brand and was eager to try it. I had never heard of Nature's Recipe Adult Lamb and Rice dog food before seeing it on the shelf at the local store. As soon as I bought it and brought it home, I decided to try it with my adult dog. Since he was a larger breed, I didn't think there was going to be any problems with him digesting or eating it. I was, more or less right. The dog food doesn't have a horrible smell, like some dog foods do. Which is a big plus to me. I love my dogs, but I also am not a big fan of the smell of dog food. My dog seemed to enjoy the taste, it was gone just as fast as some of the other foods we have tried with him. The only thing I noticed, and it isn't even a big deal- is that the food is very hard and crunchy. This means that older dogs, or dogs who teeth have started to break down or get softer and weaker, will have a hard time eating them. Also the food isn't very small bites- so it probably isn't ideal for puppies or smaller breeds. Overall it is a good food, is isn't the most expensive, but it is a little more expensive than some other ones. I will probably be buying this in the future.

I received a sample of this dog food in the mail, and was very pleased with it overall. My dog Buddy is a very picky eater, but he seemed to really enjoy this one. Unlike some of the other dog foods that I have tried to give him before, this one has a decent smell and doesn't really seem like dog food to me. The dog food is costlier than most, and is sold only in pet stores. However, you really get what you pay for, and it is a premium dog food that is worth the cost. It is designed to provide your adult dog who is always on the go with the added nutrition to keep him healthy and happy. It is a filling dog food as well, so even though you spend a little but more for it, you won't use as much. Flaxseed and Omega 3 fatty acids can be found in this dog food and we all know how healthy and beneficial those two are. This is one of the best dog foods on the market. Flavor Selection Lamb and rice is a flavor that almost all dogs like to eat.

No beef, no corn, no wheat,no  dairy or no added sugar.  Fortified with vitamins and antioxidants. All natural. What can be better than that? Our lab who just turned 10 years old was diagnosed with skin cancer when he was 4 years old. He brought him to holistic vet and she recomended to use only all natural foods for him. We tried a lot of different kinds of all natural food and finally we found nature's recipe. I love that we can buy it at our local petco store and its pretty good priced. Also you can always fine a coupon and wait for sale...great deal! Our dog loves it. He gets tearly eyes a lot...and we were told its due to allergy to wheat! Few weeks after we started him on this food ...his eyes got a lot better. I love that they have a lot of choices since we were told again by  our vet to change food ones in a while. Our dog is happy! And we are very happy! Great natural choice for your pet!

We started out buying this dog food and our dog, Walker, really liked it.  I liked knowing that I was feeding my dog something that was healthy and natural and not processed.  It doesn't smell gross like other dog foods and is full of all natural ingredients.  No meat by product or anything like that.  I have been trying to feed our family less processed foods and more healthy food so it makes sense to feed the same type of thing to the dog. The one downfall to Nature's Recipe, as with any all-natural dog food, is the price.  Even though I loved feeding our dog all natural food we were at a point where we couldn't feed him that everyday without breaking the bank.  We are now feeding him regular brand dog food and while I feel bad about not giving him the best, it is working for now.  I hope to one day soon get back to the natural brand food, like Nature's Recipe.   I would recommend this dog food to anyone who wants to feed their dog natural, no by-product food.

Our Golden Retriever has serious food allergies.   As a puppy we followed our vet's advice and bought a very good product that he sold at his clinic.  It worked and Tucker's allergies were controlled.  As Tucker got older and we moved to another state, we were on a tighter budget....so we started looking for the same ingredients in a Pet Store brand of food.  We tried Natures Recipe and it worked, also.  We have stuck with Nature's Recipe for the last 4 years.  IT is not quite as expensive as the other food.  We are willing to pay for the quality.

My Lhasa is very high-maintenance because he has allergies. This food has no corn, wheat, or by-products which is very important for his skin. He loves the lamb and rice flavor and is good for his long hair. I would recommend this product to anyone.
