I'd seen many people using the NordicTrack at my local gym and they all seemed to be kicking butt and having great workouts, so I thought I should really give this a try! Of course to attempt to save me gym shame and embarrassment I waited until I was there close to closing time and there was basically no one left in the gym. I am so grateful I did, because I'm sure I looked like an absolute fool trying to work this thing. First I couldn't get the screen to start up correctly, then I couldn't program it to anything that remotely seemed reasonable. Once I started going on it, the burning in the tops of my thighs was over whelming. I knew I was going to be big time sore the next day. Not really something I look for in a fulfilling workout. A little ache here and there is okay, but dreading having to walk, or take a single step, isn't. Definitely not something i recommend for beginners.
