I actually bought this NordicTrack CX 1055 used from someone on Craig's List.  When I was looking, I really researched a lot.  This machine had GREAT reviews in multiple places compared to other machines in its price range. I had the machine for 9 months and used it probably 40 times (it was throughout the summer).  I was so impressed with this machine.  My husband also liked it.  This is a very sturdy machine and doesn't wiggle when you use it.  It also has a nice fan which I LOVE when I am working out.  Even in my cold basement, I would get so hot.  It has 3 different heights it will blow at as well as three different levels, so it's pretty accommodating for most people. Another great thing about this machine is that it has different levels on the recline.  I honestly didn't use this a ton, but it was nice to have the option.  It also has different resistance levels and I did use those a lot.  Another feature I like is the heartrate monitors.  It was nice knowing my heart rate when I worked out.  Sometimes, it was hard to get it because I didn't put my hands on right. Overall, this is such a great machine and gets the job done.  I think it is a great bang for your buck.a

The reason I would referr to the Nordick Track Elliptical is because I LOVE to see the weight melt away, but I hate to work out. The Nordick Track makes it so much easier to work out with such a smooth stride and the built in fan that keeps you cool as you go. It is a Wonderful machine! The stride on this machine is a bit closer than some of the equipment you would probably work out on at the gym, but only by a couple of inches so it really doesn't make all that much of a difference. It has a large LED screen so you can keep track of how many miles you have gone and your heart rate (using the built in monitors on the handle bars), calories burned, your intensity level (which you can choose up to 10 different levels), and it has 19 different workouts to choose from that adjust speed and include on it's own to help you reach your goals and stay in your target heart rate. There is also a program that allows you to create your own workouts, (I have yet to do that because I have been very satified with the programs that are already in the system.)
