Old English Lemon Oil

During the summer and spring months my mother and I like to go to yard sales. We purchase all type of items to resale. A little over 3 weeks ago I stumbled across a old wooden stereo system. It was old, dusty and no longer shined. I decided to clean and polish the old wooden stereo system with Old English Lemon Oil. The bottle of Old English Lemon Oil had been sitting underneath my kitchen sink since last year. The only reason why I purchased this product is because it was on sale. Well I cleaned the stereo system with the oil and it literally came back to life. I had no ideal the wood had so much promise. Keep in mind the stereo system did not come out looking brand new but it did have the appearance of being well taken care of. The wooden stereo system had a damp odor to it when I purchased it. After I cleaned the wooden stereo with the Old English Lemon Oil, the damp smell went away completely. Great product that does a excellent job with cleaning wood and making it sparkle and shine.

It is great on natural, wood furniture.

I've used this for years on my natural wood furniture because it's what I always saw my mom use. What I've noticed is that it works best on wood surfaces that aren't as coated with paints and varnishes and clear coats. It seems to really soak into my older wood. Furniture polish does an okay job of cleaning and dusting my wood but I've noticed this seems to really soak into the wood and moisturize it. The wood texture even feels different when I use this. It soaks into the wood, makes it shine, and it even smells decent. It does have a little bit of a chemically clean type smell to it but it makes my wood feel much better. It's quite oily so you need a cloth to put it on with. I usually use old rags to do this with because it's convenient. A little bit of this goes a long way. Be careful to go with the grain of the wood so it soaks in best. Also, be careful to keep it off of yourself. It's a bit greasy and I usually use Dawn to wash it off my skin with. Performance It does a great job of making wood look new and refreshed. It soaks deep into the grain and makes it shine and pop. It does leave things a little slick so be sure to wipe off the excess. Scent It smells a little chemically but they mask it well with a citrus like scent.

I've been using Old English for many years now with wonderful results. Since we do have cats, it's a given that our furniture is going to get scratched. Sure enough with the cats kids and moving the furniture around, we've had lot's of scratches. This not only works as a scratch cover, it also protects the furniture from excessive humidity and dryness. It leaves a very nice shiny sheen that protects the wood for a long time as well as makes it look great. Performance This product has been around for a very long time. The reason is being, it works. I have used other products which advertise the same results but they come up short. it's my opinion this is the only scratch cover and furniture protector you will ever need. Simply pour on top of a piece of furniture or on to a clean cloth, wipe very well. Turn over and wipe off the excess and you're done. Scent This is one of the most pleasant scents you're going to find. It's a very nice lemony fresh clean scent which I like a lot.

Old English Lemon Oil

I love using Old English Lemon Oil. I find the price to be very reasonable. The bottle is easy to hold onto. The cap is easy to remove. The scent of the lemon oil reminds me of fresh lemons and antique furniture. This lemon oil cleans my wood furniture with little to no effort. It cleans very well and does not leave a residue build up. It keeps my wood furniture from drying out and cracking in the desert climate I live in. I also use this lemon oil when I am refurnishing furniture and I want a light and natural grain stain look to the wood. I use this oil also to do repairs on furniture that has scratches in it. I have found that applying the oil to a soft cloth and rubbing in different directions over the scratch, the scratch becomes less evident and will sometimes disappear all together. This oil is definitely something to keep in your cleaning supplies and craft projects areas. I just wish it came with a pump dispenser.

I just don't care for it.

I can't seem to get on the Old English Lemon Oil bandwagon. I have never liked the product. I know it is good for my wood tables I have but I really hate having to use it. I product IS good for your wood. I know my wood tables need more than just a cleaner and this product provides the oil component that it needs to be protected and continue to look good. I can't deny that it does a good job of protecting my tables and keeping them looking nice. But it has it's down sides. The product is lemon scented. The scent is horrible, in my opinion. Secondly, you have to use two rags to use the product. One to apply the product and then one to buff the product in. It's inconvenient. I also keep those two rags separate from other ones because I don't feel like ruining rag after rag, so I have those two in a separate area in my cleaning supplies. Third, the oil will get on your hands and you have to wash them a few times to get it off. It does not like to budge off of your hands! There are too many down sides to the product and it just annoys me when I have to use it. It's effective at what it's supposed to do but it smells horrible, in inconvenient, and is a pain to get off of your hands when you are done.

Revives my tired old wood.

When used correctly, Old English, works perfectly. From my dining table to my old desk, I use it on all my real-wood furniture. If I can feel the grain of the wood, I treat it with this product. It doesn't just shine or clean, it also protects the wood from drying out. Real wood does dry out. When it does, it appears dry and dull. Old English revives and allows the beauty of the wood shine. What it doesn't do well is shine and protect smooth wood surfaces--those that are well sealed. One of my desks is teak. It is sealed very well. When I used it on this surface, it just made it somewhat sticky and streaky. It was prone to collecting dust faster. One application surprised me though. My stair banister is chipped oak that appears to have been used for dozens of years--not the case, but in poor shape. When I used this product on it, the wood looked nearly new. I'm very happy with it. Performance As I mentioned before, when used on the right surfaces, it works very well. It cleans, shines and protects. It makes old tired surfaces appear nearly new. Scent I love the lemon scent! When I use this anywhere in my home, it smells like real lemons.

Price is nothing when your furniture looks this good

Old English lemon oil is easily the best product I have used when it comes to dusting my furniture. It never takes a whole lot just a little dab of oil on the cloth and I can clean my entire coffee table. The shine that is left once I am done cleaning is out of this world and I really love the smell. Something about the lemon smell that just screams clean throughout the entire house. I think my favorite part of dusting with this lemon oil is how my cat gets mesmerized by seeing herself in the side of the TV stand when we are done cleaning. you absolutely have to love that mirror shine. Performance Easy to use and results are magnificent. A nice clean shine to all of my wooded furniture is definitely worth the high price of this product. Scent I think the best part of the scent is that the lemon smell just makes you appreciate the cleanliness that comes along with this furniture cleaner. Definitely the smell is a absolute bonus to using this.

Old English Lemon Oil

I have been using Old English Lemon Oil for the longest time. I'm one of these old fashioned house fanatics who has a lot of wood furniture and unlike most of the paint effects and coverings available for wood these days, I like my wood to look natural, but enhanced. Old English Lemon Oil is first class at delivering the enhancements I need. You just dap a little on a soft cloth or duster, rub it over your wood (in the direction of the grain), leave it to penetrate a little and then once the wood is conditioned, you gently rub with a clean dry cloth to remove the excess oil. The result is a superior finish, smooth and shiny which highlights the grain of the wood perfectly. My husband made the mistake of leaving the oil on our kitchen cabinets and not cleaning away the excess and this rather attracted the very dust he was trying to extract. This Lemon Oil is wonderfully fragrant - you can't help but feel like you have nurtured your wood furniture with the best of available, natural products.

Old-School product still does the job!

I love Old English products. They are definitely something that I grew up with and they never get out of date to me. I don't know a lot of people who still use the Lemon Oil, but we grew up using this most regularly on the faces of the Kitchen cabinets. It's still the most wonderful use for this product and keep your wood faced cabinets well nourished and beautiful. The Lemon oil cleans like no other, cutting through grease that builds up over the months of cooking. It also leaves an amazing shine on the surface that really catches the eye. My current home does not have wood faced kitchen cabinets, but I always keep a bottle of the lemon oil in our supplies, because it's useful for our other furniture needs. I don't usually use it to oil furniture up, but rather as more of a cleaner for the needs of our home now. It can be used for dusting and always leaves a very unique scent that smells clean and fresh. This is a product that I use more as an occasional cleaner/polish, but a "must-have" in our house for those times when you know it's the perfect product for the job needed.

Old English Lemon Oil Is A Must Have

5

My husband is a huge fan of wood furniture, so we literally have wood products in every room of our house. I also like wood products, but they can be very hard to keep and get clean. This is why I really love Old English Lemon Oil. This product really is a must have for anyone who has wood products in their home. Old English Lemon Oil works great for things like our downstairs cabinets. It helps keep them dust free and beautiful. It also works really well on our tables. It helps keep out the moisture, a very important fact when you have 2 young boys who tend to spill things on your furniture. Another really great thing about Old English Lemon Oil is that it smells really good. After you use it your whole house smells lemon fresh. You can also find this product in all large stores and it is inexpensive and the bottle lasts for a long time. This really is a must have product for people who have wood furniture that they want to make sure stays nice for years to come.
