All its good for is peeling.

I bought some of thus Olympic latex paint in white to freshen up the baseboards and doorways. I thought it would be simple enough and bring some brightness back into the house. I have used Olympic paint in the past but it's been Awhile. The paint went on a little thicker than I thought, which resulted in some issues in trying to get it to spread evenenly. It had the tendency to clump and glob up. Once I got the paint spread on the base boards and doorways, it took forever to dry. I noticed that it also started chipping and peeling pretty shortly after I was done with the project. It started looking bad enough just weeks after finishing the project that I had to sand everything down and 're paint it with another brand of paint shortly after. I wouldn't recommend this paint to anyone. Which is a shame because they used to make good paint, but this just wasn't worth the cost or time that it wasted.

This paint does okay but it can peel easily.

I used this on some wooden cabinets and it just didn't hold up as I would have expected. The cabinets sit over my sink and occasionally water would splash up and sometimes when I cleaned the cabinets, pieces of paint would peel or chip off. I wouldn't recommend this for a surface you plan on scrubbing or washing very often. It just seemed to happen in the edges and corners so perhaps it just doesn't smooth out well around the edges. It seems to want to peel and chip as the ends. This may be different if the edge were a bit smoother or if it were painted over a surface where it could reach the back and get some overlap. Quality This does show up well but it takes several layers of paint to really cover up what's underneath. It was inexpensive so it didn't seem to matter at the time, but I believe a higher quality and more expensive paint would have been just as easy. I had some issues with peeling and chipping in corners and around edges but otherwise, the paint on the main walls and cabinets held up and had a good color. I'm afraid to scrub it too much for fear of peeling though. Durability It doesn't hold up well when it gets wet or you have to use any force to scrub on it. It peels and cracks. Coverage It takes a couple of coats but it covers well after two coats. I had to use three on a darker color. Ease of Appliation It's easy to apply. I used a roller and a brush with ease. I recommend getting a paint tray.

Olympic Premium Interior Latex Paint

I had to do two bedrooms last weekend and there was a sale on Olympic Latex interior. I got the eggshell and it's really a fairly decent paint. It's not ridiculously expensive so for the money, it's a pretty good deal. I used only one coat but I was painting light over light. Even the best paint you would need multiple coats with a light over dark or dark over light. All in all, I'm happy with the outcome. Quality It's not the best paint but it's good for a better than average paint. Less expensive than some paint that is inferior as well. Durability Well, it's interior latex so it should last 5 to 8 years with the traffic going through the rooms with maybe an occasional touch-up on the corners. Coverage Pretty good coverage. I'm fairly pleased with the coverage and quality for the price I paid. Ease of Appliation Most paint is easy to apply unless it's very cheap and watery which drips everywhere and you can't not make a mess as it will even drip down the walls. This does not do that. It's very easy to get on the brush and roller.

Olympic Premium Interior Latex Paint is not worth the money

We are remodeling our house and bought several different brands and colors of paints and Olympic Premium Interior Latex Paint is by far the worst. We had to use five coats and spend an entire day doing a small room. The coverage was terrible and the previous white kept coming through. We will never buy this brand again. Quality For the price I would have expected a better quality paint. We bought Valspar the same day and used for another room, and the coverage and quality far surpassed Olympic. Durability We just painted last week so I can't comment on the durability. Coverage This was the worst part of the paint. The color was nice and the ease of applications was great but we had to use five coats to get a decent coverage. In all my years of painting I have never had to use more than two coats of paint especially when primer is supposed to be included in the paint! Ease of Appliation This paint was easy to apply and had a low odor but the lack of coverage sealed the deal that we will never buy Olympic again.

Olympic Premium Interior Latex Paint

We had been thinking about repainting several rooms in our house for some time. Of course we wanted to be careful how much money we spent and paint can be very expensive. I have never used Olympic before but when we went to buy paint it was on sale for a very good price. I was hesitant at first because it was actually much cheaper than other paints and I wondered if it would be a high quality paint. We decided to give Olympic a try in one of the kid's rooms first and see how it turned out. My daughter wanted a very deep shade of purple for her room, so off we went to buy it. It was easy to get the colour we wanted with Olympic and we took home our paint. I was really surprised when I went to paint my daughter's room with just how well it turned out. The paint was very easy to apply. It went on smooth and even and the finish was brilliant. It covered the old paint quite easily and we sure did save a lot of money over other paints. I will definitely be using Olympic paint over other brands in the future!

Olympic Premium Has Been a Reliable Paint for Me

We have painted our whole house over the course of the last several years, and we have used Olympic Premium as well as another brand that I cannot remember at the moment. When we remodeled our basement a year ago, we bought Olympic Premium in a huge 5-gallon container in an eggshell finish. I chose a light blue-gray color, and we were very happy with the paint. With regard to smell, I would say that it was not that bad. Olympic does make a paint that is supposed to be more environmentally friendly and less smelly, but their regular Olympic Premium did not have too much of an overwhelming odor. We chose the Olympic Premium so that we would not have to prime the new drywall, and it covered really well. We ended up doing two coats of paint which gave great coverage. It does go on a little bit thicker than your regular run-of-the-mill paint, but that is a good thing so that you hopefully can do fewer coats. I would recommend Olympic Premium paint if you have walls that you don't want to prime first. Durability The paint has held up very well in our basement with no signs of peeling or flaking off or anything like that. The eggshell finish is also easy to clean and not too glossy looking.

I find Olympic to work just as well as more expensive brands

We used a really dark red Olympic paint when finishing our basement. This is the type of color that can be a real pain to get to look right, but Olympic worked great. It went on in just two coats, which is good for such a dark color, and it applied evenly with a great finish. I'm really happy with it and will be using it more in the future.

No need to look any further. The best is right here in Olympic

Whether using the Olympic interior or exterior paint, you can count on it's reliability each and every time at a very reasonable cost. A real bang for your buck! Quality I have used several brands of paint throughout the years and have settled on using the Olympic brand solely for all interior and exterior uses! I'm sure there are more expensive brands and many more that promise you the world, but why would anyone go any further than the best! OLYMPIC! Durability It has been over 4 years since I've painted the interior of my home. It still looks as if it has just been freshly painted and have had several comments from friends and family as to it's great appearance!!! I haven't even had to wash my walls yet. WOW! Coverage Using a paint estimator, one can count on never over purchasing an excessive quantity of paint and it covers the first pass each and every time. Now that's great coverage! What more can one ask for. Ease of Appliation Beginners and or pro's will both agree that this is as easy as painting with numbers. It's just that simple and easy to use. Just follow the instructions and you'll swear that even a beginner is a pro.

It Doesn't Stink!

This paint is thin, spreads easily, but requires at least 2 coats to get the desired color/appearence. Finally I have found a paint that doesn't cause be to run out of the house to catch my breath. It's fast drying and easy to clean off of your skin using diswashing liquid if you act quickly. Quality Premium quality paint product. It is easy to mix using a mixing stick. After shaking the can I didn't fing a lot of little air bubbles that translate poorly when trying to apply a smooth paint job. Durability I painted one and a half years ago. The paint job remains resillient. no chiing or peeling on either the wood surfaces or sheetrock. Coverage In order to acheive full color and coverage I had to apply 2 coats on the pre primed sheetrock walls. On the wood moldings the job required three coats, but I did not prime the bare wood mouldings prior to painting. Ease of Appliation I used both a paintbrush and a roller to complete painting the bedroom. The paint isn't especially thick, therefore I had to be particularly careful about dripping. Never overload your roller with this paint, or else you are going to have a mess. Because the paint dries so quickly, I was able to apply both coats in one afternoon and evening.

Good for the price

I bought a house that needed paint throughout. I did not want to spend a fortune on paint, but I wanted a decent quality. I got that with this paint. My house is old and clearly had many layers of paint. My only issue with this paint was that it took many layers to cover the older paint. I would have had an easier time if I had done a better job prepping the walls for the new paint, but time was not on my side. I love the color selection for this brand. I chose this brand based on color selection and price. This was a good combination for me. Quality The quality was ok. Not the best, but certainly not the worst. I really should have done more prep work. My walls needed at least 3 coats to cover the walls thoroughly. I would use this paint again, but I would put more effort into prepping the walls. Durability The paint is holding up very nicely so far. Coverage Coverage was decent. I anticipated needing 2 coats of paint, but I had to use 3 coats of paint through out my house. Ease of Appliation Application was as easy as it would be with any other paint.
