The Oster Inspire Long Slot 2-Slice Toaster has to be one of the worst toasters I have ever used in my life. I mainly used this toaster to make toast and to toast my bagels. I would place two pieces of bread in the toaster and let it brown on setting number 3. The bread would brown for a couple of minutes and pop up. When the toast popped up it would still be un-toasted on the top 2 inches of the bread. The rest of the bread would have a nice golden crispy texture. The next time I made toast I decided to lower the settings and let the bread toast longer in hopes it would correct the problem. I let the bread toast for 4 minutes on the lowest setting and the results were somewhat different. The top 2 inches of the bread still didn't toast, but the toasted portion was practically charred. After further examination I noticed that the basket cage that the toast sits in wasn't going down far enough. Despite this inconvenience I continued to use this toaster until the plastic around the bread slots started to melt. I definitely wouldn't recommend the Oster Inspire Long Slot 2-Slice Toaster.

The first time I used it, it caused smoke with triggered the fire alarm :)) well it was an exiting event. bust after that it worked well, and I like it. I placed it on my dinner table so I can use it every time easily. It works well and fast enough. I recommend it to others. It is a good toaster and its price is reasonable! The steel design makes it chic and it goes with every design in every kitchen. I preferred a white one, but it was not available. I thought it will not goes to my other appliances but it matches them. It reflect the color of other items near it, so I put it on a white blanket and now I have a white toaster. hooraaaaaaay.... The other thing I can mention about this toaster is that you can remove the bottom part to make it clean. It can be removed easily and goes back easily too. do not forget to unplug it before do this. The bottom part has a plastic handle, but you do not regret more safety.

I got this toaster as a wedding gift and it is perfectly functional though nothing fancy. I like a toaster that blends into the background and doesn't draw attention to itself and this one definitely does this. It toasts evenly and consistently. However, I'm not totally satisfied with the bagel setting. On my toaster at least it is no different from the toast setting and crisps the outside of my bagel in a way that's quite unpleasant

This is a great little toaster if you don't use one that often. We use ours occasionally and this one has worked great. It does feel a bit cheaper than some of the other toasters, but we figured since we don't use it that often it was okay to have a little bit cheaper one. I do wish that it came in black or stainless steel because our appliances are stainless steel with black accents, but it's not out much so the white is okay. It is really nice that this toast has such a variety of settings for how dark the toast/bagel/english muffin get. Also, We usually clean the outside of ours with a damp cloth and the inside by dumping it over the trashcan and shaking it. It does tend to fill with crumbs, but I guess that also depends on how much you use it. Overall I think is a great toaster for the price.

We bought this toaster with some gift cards that we received for our wedding. Looking back I wish that we would have chosen a black toaster since I wanted all black appliances, but at that time we were living in an apartment with all white appliances and this toaster didn't come in black and was a pretty cheaply priced toaster. We do not use our toaster that often so we saw no need for an expensive one or one that could hold four slices. This toaster does feel pretty cheap, but it does what we need it to do and it's held up well for over a year now. It does have multiple darkness settings, but it's kind of a guessing game as to what darkness you'll come out with for each number. Since we do not use it very often we keep it in our pantry which saves on counter space. If you just need a toaster that toasts and you don't use it super often and don't want to spend a lot of money I would recommend this toaster.
