This works GREAT! I wasn't sure if this would be hard to set up and charge but it was SO simple. I just took it out of the box, plugged in the dock, and put the opener on the dock to charge. THAT'S IT! I love that it features a red light to show that it is charging! So many times I have left electronics because I thought they were charging only to come back and they have no juice! This takes out all the guesswork. I look forward to many more open wine bottles in the future because of this beauty. So glad I bought it!

Very impressed that they have been able to design something cheap that actually works and works well. It hasn't broken yet. The recharge ability is the best feature as I can imaging something needing this power would require constant battery changes. It is also sleek and pleasant to look at on a wine cabinet. The blue light on top adds to it's pretentiousness which adds to mine. It's also a great "showing off" item when you have dinner parties. Durability Can't believe it can pull even the toughest corks.

The Oster Wine Opener #4207 takes all the hassle out of uncorking wine. I got fed up of broken cork after broken cork using my traditional corkscrew. This electric wine opener works with the touch of one button. Simply press it and pour away till your hearts content. There is an additional neat little bonus of a foil cutter stored in the base. Guaranteed to remove the cork every time, I found this opener to be very simple to use. One charge lasted about 25 bottles. It looks impressive and is a great talking piece. The fact that it is stainless steel helps give it a sleek and modern design and fits in perfectly with my kitchen decor. It is an excellent value for money. Having used this electric wine opener I could never go back to a regular corkscrew. The only negative is the size; it does require a fair amount of counter space, as opposed to a traditional corkscrew which can be stored in a drawer.

I bought this for myself and several of my friends have commented on how much they liked it and what a great gift it would make. (I think they were dropping hints that they would like one.) I would have given it 4.5 stars if I'd had that option. I like that it is easy to use, cordless, rechargeable and pops the cork with one touch of a button (and only one more touch to dispose of the cork). The only negatives for me are: that you must charge it first and it takes up more space than your corkscrew. It does charge quickly, though. It also has a nice stainless steel look, so you can leave it on your counter or bar and it will blend in with other appliances.  In my opinion this wine opener will make a great gift for the amateur wine drinker and the wine afficianados alike.

I love so many things about this wine opener by Oster.  I got this as a wedding gift and I love it even when I am not using it!  It has such a stylish design.  Instead of hiding it in the cabinent I always have mine out.  The black and stainless steel mixture looks great sitting in my kitchen.  In fact it doesn't even look like a wine opener and I am always getting the question, "what is that?". The next thing I love about this wine opener is of course it's performance.  It always seems when I am manually opening wines that I get little (almost impossible to see) pieces of cork in the wine glass.  This opener never leaves small granuals and I am never afraid my guests will see little pieces of cork floating to the top of their glasses. I have given this gift to a few of my friends because not only is a great gift for a wine drinker but it is very affordable. You really can't go wrong with giving or recieiving this product.

We have had a Rabbit wine opener for several years, and my wife's hand strength is always a problem.  She has trouble both extracting the cork from the bottle and getting the cork out of the opener.  I saw positive reviews of the Oster just before Christmas and thought it might solve the problem of being called to the kitchen to salvage the opening process.  It has turned out to be a great success!  All that is really required is to hold the bottle and the opener steady and in alignment, push the down button, up comes the cork, push the up button and out comes the cork from the opener.  Ours is left in the charger on the counter, so it is always at the ready!  We have probably opened thirty bottles of wine without incident since she got it for Christmas, and I don't get to open the wine much anymore!  Seems to work fine on all kinds of corks.

The Oster wine opener could not be easier to use and store.  As far as storage it is cordless and rechargable so you do not need to worry about finding batteries or wrapping up a cord for storage.  The charge lasts a long time, I have used it over the span of a few months without having to charge it again.  It is sleek in design, takes up little space, and stands upright if you want to store it that way.  As far as usage, you wil never have to deal with little pieces of cork in your wine again.  All that you have to do is press a button and one maneuver secures the machine around the cork and the second maneuver knocks the cork out.  It doesn't create any fiz or overflow either.  It is very functional in design, I didn't notice that there was a little foil cutter on the button to unwrap the foil around the wine.  You can order the oster online for a discount or get it pretty cheap at most home goods stores

Want a quick and easy way to open wine, this is it.  We received this as a Christmas present and love it.  Needs to be charged so expect to keep it on a counter top or bar.  Nice looking and doesn't take up much space.  My husband always had to open wine with a regular corkscrew, but now I can open a bottle very easily. Highly recommended.
